It's actually called "Albatwitch". I also found out today there's a Albatwitch festival Oct 17, 2020 at Columbia River Park and trolley rides to Chickies Rock to throw apples for the Albatwitch.
your spot on with Alba meaning white, I am from Scotland it is also the Scottish Gaelic name for Scotland or a favourite phrase is Alba gu Bràth which means Scotland forever! I am enjoying all your videos found them by accident, I apologise for not leaving a comment on everyone as I am watching them on a loop but have been leaving a like and I have subscribed. Keep up the great vlogs man and Best wishes from Scotland :)
I’d love to meet you and go exploring with you someday. I live in Shepherdstown WV but my mom’s side of the family is from the Lancaster PA area. So I’m quite familiar with your part of the country. Gettysburg is one of my favorite places to visit. Anyway, I really enjoy your videos and it would be awesome to meet you.
In October the Historical Preservation Society and the Susquehanna Chamber of Commerce holds " Albawitch Day ", an annual festival in Columbia. They have live bands, a car show and vendors in the streets. The legendary creature is affectionately known as " Albie. " He's now a celebrity.
The German word for apple is Die Apfel.. I wonder if the Albawitch is really a raccoon or something like that, because raccoons are small, can walk on two legs, and will eat pretty darn near everything.
Hey WW, perhaps if you had hung some apple schnitz from your hat or back, the Schnitz might have taken the bait. And your vid would have gone virual fer ser! Thanks for another FINE video. DaveyJO in Lancaster Co
I have eaten an Amish dish called Schnitz un Knepp ham, apple and dumplings. Love it.
Never been to Pennsylvania. Interesting story. Looks like there is likely deer in that area. Where there is deer there is probably sasquatch.

It sounds like what is also known as a "brownie". They are short hairy little impish figures.

Hi, thanks for sharing. That was a really cool legend, mental note don't take apples on a hike lol.
a dutchie samsquanch lol
Did the Albino Cannibals eat all the Apple Snitch two-leggeds?
I live 5-10 minutes away from the rock
Same, except even closer lol
That's what I always heard the PA. Dutch "Apple Snitch" stealing the picnic food from the people at the rocks.
I would bring them some apple pie 🍎
Apple Schnitz is a dried apple slice. Alba witch is a "white witch" who does healing and cleansing.
if the witch shows up in your woods and turns you into a newt... it ain't no apple snitch.
I love that walk. Grew up 15 min away. Merietta really haunted
I've heard "real" bigfoots like apples too.
