    ****CORRECTION*** At 00:11 I mistakenly referred to the Latitude 7240 Detachable instead of correctly saying Latitude 7320 Detachable. I am overworked and sleep deprived...lol. Anyway, carry on...

      I gave feedback to Dell about their website organization concerning the generic naming conventions they use and how confusing/conflating it is and harder for search terms - ie google performs worse due to this for the product one is searching for - maybe such feedback is useful to them. So imo a very easy minor mistake/typo/"spoko"! to make.

    I can't praise the organization, full summary statistics per major section; so clearly sequenced and presented, highly enough. I really appreciate an "expert" presentation of dense information. Looking forward to the 2:1-detachable Latitude 7320 review.

    Keep up the great work: Your reviews are second to none and the best out there.
    I have the 9520 version of the laptop, they are beautiful laptops with a great screen, but my most significant issues are if you get the 4k screen, you cannot get the 5G, only 4G. Also, with a maximum of 1TB storage, that it's nowhere near the likes of Lenovo, where you can spec up to 4TB. I also found that dell has a lot of proprietary software which eats into your storage. It does come with an SD card reader, but that is also limited to 1TB.

    What nice review. I have watched dozens of your reviews and find two things. Overall i think you are fair, sometimes i wonder if they are too generous. I was all set to buy the HP Spectre 14, which you highly rated, but the larger screen and body of this this swayed me. The Spectre seemed way too off balance. I also bought a MacBook Air M1 and an HP Envy 15 (2021 versions) which were both nice. They were not the sweet spot this seems to be. There is no other 14” 2-1 that compares with the balance of the 16:10 that I could find. It is an awesome laptop for me.

    Hi, I have this laptop already 1 month and I have some issues with it, the biggest issue is with sleep mode. Sometimes it will not go to sleep when I close the lid. But bigger issues I have when I wake up laptop next day. Often happen that IR camera does not responde at it is not available to log in to laptop, no big deal but after few minutes of ussage i am getting BSOD.
    Latest FW, Latest driver. (driver_irql_not_less_or_equal)
    I have also tested Windows 11 on this thing, upgrade was without any issue. There was small issue with youtube playback (all videos were loading extremly slow). Then I also had often BSOD after hibernation mode. Dell will send me another unit so I will see if this will help, but I have a feeling that this is more about drivers.
    @Andrew Marc David did you have similar issues with this laptop?

    • @andrewmarcdavid

    • @seanh1988
      @seanh1988 3 роки тому

      Usual with Dell and their new models they release. They need at least 6 months of beta users (like yourself) to iron out all the bugs. You'll either have to put up with the current issue you're experiencing or return it and re purchase it at a later date when the bugs have been fixed.

    Interesting device. Here in Canada, the Broadband modem is not listed as an option. I wonder how Dell handles this outside the US? can I just go to my Local cell carrier and ask for a Qualcomm broadband X20 card? I assume it is tied to the carrier.

    Отличный канал, профессиональные обзоры - все по-существу и ничего личного. Спасибо за проделанную работу. Нахожусь в выборе для себя лично легкого и стильного ноутбука для дома, работы, командировок и путешествий. Интересно Ваше мнение на этот счет. Выбор из трех вариантов - XPS 13 9310 (OLED), LATITUDE 9420 2 в 1(2K), THINKPAD T14S Gen2 (4K). Все с INTEL 1185 и 32 GB памяти. Выбор сложен: у XPS - лучший экран, общий стиль и возможность подзарядки и слева и справа. У 9420 - форм фактор, большая гарантия, шторка камеры, 5G, USB-A, HDMI. У THINPAD - лучшая клавиатура, общая прочность и надежность, влагозащита клавиатуры, механическая шторка камеры, 4G, много разъемов, легендарность IBM. Что на Ваш взгляд интереснее и практичнее? Все в России стоят в рознице примерно одинаково - 2500-2700 доларов США. Оба Dell у меня в фаворитах все таки. И выбор скорее форм фактора и экрана.

      Xps не рассматриваю бо нет usb-a.
      Если между 9420 и t14s, вот чем dell сушественно лучше: соотношение экрана 4:3, лёгкость, ярость экрана выше 300нит (можно будет на солнце видеть экран)

    Is there a magnet where the pen can be attached to the laptop?
    EDIT: On the left side below the ports is a magnet on which you can attach your Dell pen. Keep in mind that when the Dell PN579x Pen is attached it blocks the headphone jack, SD card reader and first USB-C port.

    Good PC. Camera (720p) is mediocre and it showed. The microphone sound was not crystal clear. Sounded a little like you were talking from inside a box. Could be better. Otherwise the rest of the PC was quite good. Kind of pricey for what you get. Still a great review.

    I hope you can help me
    I have a lenovo c930, i7 version with 16gb of ram and 4k screen.
    I would like to change notebook, I would like to always get a premium and non-noisy 2 in 1 notebook, I usually use Adobe products, editing programs, ide to program.
    I am evaluating the updated version of mine, Lenovo yoga 9i 2022 or the Dell latitude 9430 but of the ell I have not found any reviews.
    What do you suggest me?

    Andrew, another really great review. I have found them useful. However, I am a bit worried. I just ordered this Latitude, awaiting delivery. You said RAM is not upgradeable, but Dell assures me it is. Obviously you took the back off and see that its not, but can you confirm that one again. I order 16GB with a plan to upgrade to 32 GB upon arrival. I don't want to open it up if there is no point. Please clarify. Thanks.

    • @andrewmarcdavid
      @andrewmarcdavid  3 роки тому +1

      As you can see from the video when I did open it up, the RAM is not upgradeable by the user. It is soldered into the motherboard. Unless, there is a hidden slot somewhere this will not be upgradeable by the user.

    • @jimwilder7828
      @jimwilder7828 3 роки тому +2

      Update: My unit arrived today and the Dell guys were wrong and you were right, of course. While the old Latitude allowed RAM upgrades and XPS did not, this year, that is now reversed. The XPS allows RAM upgrades and the Latitude business laptops do not. Even the Latitude 9520 2in1 I bought does not allow upgrade and the Dell reps selling the units do not seem to be trained on these changes. Thanks for giving us the FACTS.
