I’ve just been quoted 3k to fit a pre built wren kitchen 😮 and I found your video - you’ve made it look so easy. I might install it myself 😂

Good luck just take your time. Everything is quite logical

3k is absolutely à fortune for just mounting units onto the walls? These people are exaggerating.....too much.

A friend took pity on me, and offered to install it for free. He put the kitchen together in 6 hours. If you think £3k is pricey, Wren quoted £5k!

Thanks for the video. We are ordering a Wren kitchen, and I want to fit it myself. Your wall looks like it's just been plastered, but did you need to scribe to the back of any of the units to make them fit the wall properly, or would that only be end panels? I am trying to find a video that may cover that.

What screws did you use for the bottom? What would you recommend for a very hollow plasterboard wall for those bottom screws? Anything I researched requires a plug to be inserted into the wall first, but that is a bit challenging to predrill in the right place given all the adjustments that are done after you hang the cabinet and lock it in place with the red screw.

Great vid. Question - how do you know what hight to fit the brackets to get the correct height on where you want the units?

Measure the hook on the bracket fitted to the carcass to the top edge and use that as a reference

Great video. Are those plugs strong enough for plasterboard on a stud wall. I was going to use expanding wall anchors, but I'll take the plug option if they do the job? And are you using 6mm screws?

No don't use raw plugs in a plasterboard wall, either cut a hole out couple inches below bracket and screw some timber where the bracket goes or use hollow wall anchor bolts with the pump tool and no nails all around the back of the wall unit.

Did you fit Decor panels to the ends of the units, or any pelmet or cornice?

You would make it easier to fit the next one if you left the double bracket as a double, so that the same bracket supports the right hand side of the first cabinet and the left hand side of the adjacent cabinet instead of cutting them all into singles.

@@TMCarpentry you won't be able to make them hide behind cabinets then.

@@nirvanka The Wren brackets have a flat between the hanging flanges. You are right it steps it off the wall by about 1mm, but your walls are unlikely to be that flat anyway, so easy to adjust the last unit off by 1 mm.
