Its probably the next game on the table. VoT is significantly different because of all the modern weapons and tactics as well as the fact the war was fought in clear weather and mainly open terrain.
Congrats on "Last Blitzkrieg", curious to hear your opinion on that one as it's one of the most admired titles but also a really big one to play and not that user friendly due to no formation stripes.
Yea, I had to mark my own stripes on each unit. Bad playtesting to overlook that. But the game itself is really good, does a good job of simulating the battle.
For alternating activations are you using straight "1 for 1"? I'd use Battletech convention with a really easy way to alternate when you don't have equal numbers remaining: basically, if your opponent has twice/triple etc. remaining formations to activate, he needs to activate two/three formations before you activate one :)
I am using totally random draws from turn two onwards by turn three the Israeli army has nearly as many units as the arabs. There is an option to use something similar to what you are describing in the rules.
