- Running the the perkons sends to Arturia FX. The Bassline is getting some nice modulated distortion from ColdFire. I love that plug in along with the Fragments.

This is really good btw.
Second yeah @ 6:17
Thank you for the comment!
Always been weary of the Perkons. Seeing a baseline beside it kinda says why. Should be no need really. Proves the perkons is lacking in that department. Also seems to have poor range for the ability to sound warm.
Thanks for stopping by! Can't speak for Erica synths, but most stuff is aggressive by design. I have a few videos with comments on taming the Perkons for warmth. It's just filtering and using the right algos on the box.
The bass sounds amazing. However you can't quantize notes, so working with melodic material is going to be easy on a dedicated box for that, but not impossible on the Perkons. It's a matter of tuning your notes by ear on each step. Not everyone's cup of tea.
Perkons is a drum machine that shines with Sends\inserts etc. Those options can give you a massive amount of textures.
@Noise-Maker cool. Thanks for the reply. Missed out on one a few weeks ago. Sold for £1k on ebay. Was kicking myself after pissed I somehow bought an Akai Force so couldn't jump on it at the time. Looking at the Vermona Drm mk4 now.
That was a steal whoever got that! Wow! I had a Drm mk4 and the kick was one of the best in an analog machine. The midi was not good for me. I dont know if my unit was bad but it was hard to set up. And was bummed i couldn't modulate anything. Its what i sold to help fund the perkons actually. That and an old Analog Rytm.@@Goldlion973
@Noise-Maker yeah, £1020 final. Should have jumped on it I suppose. Value is locked in at that price. See what you're saying about the DRM. Have been looking at an RYTM as well. Might take a trip to europe next year and see if I can come back with a perkons that way.
