I'm so glad you played this one. I have long considered this masterpiece sadly overlooked. When I think of the arranging, pre-planning, interaction between Jacob and what he's programed it just blows my mind. And he is such a bloody showman on top of it all. He knows at every nano second where is program is, where he needs to be and to be riffing the whole time....my God! There is nobody else like Jacob. Thanks again for playing this one a magical journey every time I hear it. I should have added the observation that "Don't Stop..." has two stand out features. He pushes the absolute limits, into chromaticism every which way ,whilst not for an instant compromising our delighting in the through-line of the melodic. Second is the powerful rhythmic pulse, again utterly flexible and beguiling even in the quieter moments. The five dimensional clock in his head never compromises the opportunity for simple bodily groove. (The head banging at 3:55 in this video gets me every time.) JC makes us work for these simplest, most delightful rewards, yet its nice work if you can get it.
