- Team Associated does it again with the Pro2 RT10 SW (short wheelbase) two wheel drive road Rat Rod brushless 3300Kv motor 3s lipo Short Course Truck! Dang, that was a mouthful! I loved the design of this car and the familiarity with the chassis. At about 30 mph I felt like I immediately wanted to change the gearing to give it a little more get up and go and swap in one of Reedy’s drag motors and slap some slicks on it to trick it out. But I gotta say I spent a lot of time running laps after the initial footage dialing in the dual rate system that works with that ESC to get that gyro right and it really cornered extremely well!
For those of you that cringed when I took it off road I really enjoy running rally rc cars that do both road and street and had to give it a whirl. You could definitely order up a set of the short course truck tires with those big bore shocks and that would be a pretty banging time. Again, I’d have to change the gearing on this 2wd but it’d be so worth it.

The batteries I used were an Ovonic 8000mah 50c and a Gens Ace 5000 mah 50c. I wanted to use a 100c or higher to see how it did but recently have been swapping a lot of my connections over to xt60 and xt90 and I have a plethora of IC3 and EC3 batteries and adapters but didn’t have any that went from XT or IC to deans. I’ll probably change it over to XT60 since that seems to be the trend recently for many manufacturers. Could not believe how many crawler deans and 2s I had but I really wanted to get a run on 3s but it tapped out at 29mph pretty quick on 50c.
If you like the look of the car and do your own tuning you can’t go wrong with Team Associated but I’d say you’d probably feel the need to upgrade the servo (I couldn’t even find the kg listed) and ditch the lower end 4 pole brushless for a longer can and higher kV unless you’re gonna change it up and race it. There’s something that screams speed by the look of it but it just wasn’t there. However, when I took it through grass and dirt and leaves it really shined because the 4 pole torque did not disappoint. It’s definitely a niche car but it’s a fun one worth trying out.

I have the trophy rat Rod truck. And im realy happy with it, customized him, and yeah, a realy fun car. So i think im going for this one, once i have the cash ready.
The trophy rat comes with working headlights and taillights

You know, yes. However, and double check this, I think that body decal combo is hard to come by. Like look on the site if you can get it. The other one, the rusted one is always available. I always see it. But you can take the decals off. Obviously you'll need something to get the adhesive off but if you wreck the body it may be harder to replace. Just double check that. They don't make near as many of these as they do other cars.
@redvikinghobbies ... Thanks for the response dude. Yeah, I already have the rusty Rat Rod and the RB10 racing buggy so I know this chassis well. In the UK this Hot Rod is now reduced so I was thinking I'd make it all black, put some big Hoosier drag wheels all around, drop the rear end, and 3D print a proper grill.
Just in case it may be useful for you, there is a spray can product called MultiSolve. It's great for safely cleaning off sticky residue left behind from decals.

@austinrhubarb We can't get it over here for a reasonable price. Just like GT85. (It's made for the European market by WD-40.) We use Goo-Gone for adhesive remover and WD40 Bike chain lube for dry lubricant. It's the same stuff. I don't know why they do that but C-tec cost me 40 U.S. dollars for one bottle on ebay. I bought a case of GT85 from across the pond just to try it and paid 60 bucks for 2. After that I did my research and found out it was made by WD-40 for your market so just bought the U.S. equivalent. Happened when I did my Carisma video. Lot if Carisma fans over there in comparison to here. But yeah, even chemicals that are labeled the same often have different ingredients here and there. I'm sure it's something with the EPA here and the EEA there.

The LT10 and DK10 are the same. The RT10, this one, is not pictured in the manual. It looks like they added the RT10 to the front cover because the rest of the build is the same but the posts and shock mounts are for the DT/LT and not this rat and I don't have one. I'm gonna call my Team Associated guy and someone I think has one and post the answer here once I know. At worst you'd need the supports. This car is so new they haven't even done their usual performance build sheet on the site but I'll try to get some answers. Thanks for the question!

The first one, trophy rat, whas a copy of a real rat rod, i believe it whas a stadium racer with a classic truck body, or something like that hahahaha a bit of a frankenstein syndrom truck 😂 but i like him, i even sold my slash to get him. Very fun car....
