"I don't try to be offensive but I want to think critically and sometimes that is offensive. And that is okay because I am not trying to be here for everybody"- That resonates so strongly with how I communicate and I was always shocked with why people got so offended when I was simply trying to understand why they were thinking the way they did even when I asked in a very polite way.
If you ask and dismiss of their views how ever polite, they would pick an offensive because everyone wants to be heard, do you find a way to tell them they are saying rubbish without telling them they are saying rubbish. That way everyone wins and you'd have passed your message or school of thought
"You'll grow according to what you surround yourself with." That's a really solid one!
absolutely! loved that nugget as well 🙌
...No one :)
I am truly thankful for how generous you are and the value & perspectives you teach through your content.
I appreciate that!
What I learnt from this video on Personal Branding:
1st thing...
...to build a strong personal brand, you need to define who you're talking to.
... That'll improve your messaging and your target customer will feel you know their stuff really well.
... And that'll increase your odds of winning the game.
... I think this is applicable for every brand whether personal or not.
2nd thing...
...Build your own diction
...It'll be easier for your target customers to spot you and your brand.
...meaning, your brand messaging will be clearer.
... Don't adapt the diction of your parents, society, or anyone who wants you to believe and do what they believe and do.
Well done.
I agree! Narrowing down your target audience is essential for building a strong personal brand.
“Originality is a fools errand” 🥶 I needed to hear that specific quote.
Wow, love this so much! Thanks for dropping the knowledge 📚♥️
I felt relieved listening to your teachings today...
I felt your passion in this talk. Needed this.
I guess my dominant voice comes from my mom, she has a growth mentality and believes one can accomplish what they put their mind to, and if there’s a will there is a way. This has always helped when wanting to learn new things.
You are so inspiring. Since I subscribe to your channel I have been able to learn a lot. I love your presentation and all.
A mentor once told me, "study the conventions and then ditch them" 👑⭐⭐⭐
I was told a similar thing by an old lecturer of mine. She was talking about how all these students want to "think outside the box" which is great, but for that to happen, first we need to teach the box.
Thank you. So refreshing, couldn't get enough of these ideas, and completely agree with what you say about us always *remixing* that which already exists. Originality becomes a myth, we must keep seeking excellence in every piece we add new meaning to.

Great to hear!
A lot of GOLD here in a short video!!! Excellent stuff as usual!
✨Hi Chris👋🏻 I am your audience from Taiwan, love your every teaches in this channel!! Thanks for always delighting the mind as a designer🧡 and who is always inspiring!! Grateful!!
This is some great content. As a digital marketer who is constantly trying to learn new techniques, I appreciate this so much. Thanks for sharing.
Thank you for all the golden nuggets you've shared Chris. This is really helpful!
My pleasure!
Been a student of yours for a loooong time, thank you for everything!!
My pleasure!
This is so true! Awesome advice! I also like the saying, that If you haven't pissed anyone than you are not doing anything new/different!
Its can be scary for some to niche down. One of the biggest challenges but the results are day and night. 👏🏾
I welcome any and every time you get deep. That's where the lessons are! We have the answers already, Chris! We just need little (sometimes big) nudges.
Happy to nudge
Guys, drop the stock footage lol. It's embarrassing and distracting. Just use B Roll from the event to hide the cuts, or worst case crop cut. Hell, I'll take jump cuts over the silly stock footage. Much love for the content.
Thank you for the feedback
Came here to say this. I’m perfectly happy to watch what is being said, you have my attention!the stock footage parts make me forget your point and get irritated. Please ditch it. Love your content 👍🏻
I disagree. It adds emphasis for me 🤷🏾♀️
Yea! Somebody said it!
It seems to be the trend nowadays though… I don’t know why
//edit I know why: it supposedly keeps your attention longer, by giving your eyes new candy every, what, 5-7 seconds
Damn, Chris is dropping HEAT on this!!!
Chris you're brilliant!
Thank you 🙏
That thumbnail illustration is Dope 🔥
Thank you 🙏
I find that the stock footage video really distract from
The video
What about it was distracting to you?
@@thefutur These are overly used by low-quality content creators and may give a similar vibe here.
Your videos are full of information and when i am fully indulged in them, and a stock video comes up, it feels the same if I am sitting & listening to someone in person, i am looking at their face, paying full attention to important stuff they are sharing, and all of a sudden they pull a video of random people and put it infront of my face.
I would prefer to just look at the person talking in the video than looking at a stock video.
Always such good content
Thank you Chris
Very welcome
May I ask if you could do a video on selling ebooks with? Explain it with details, Details, DETAILS. lol Your witty with building a brand. Thank you
Bro you are honestly speaking like me. I'm a very critical minded person.
I agree and love this perspective..I think theres another layer to it, maybe its more of HOW you spend time with your closest 5 ppl. Spending actual “free time” that dont affect other areas of ya life..plus you can’t measure inspiration or what role ppl can grow into one another life.
Valuable information, thank you.
You are avg of 5 ideas that you spend most time with . I m single no friends nothing 😄
Great tips!!!
Glad you like them!

The last minute bombed my brain...
How so?
I wanted to ask one question. That is, "Is it necessary to work at a 9 to 5 job in a design company before starting freelancing?"
I am stuck with this idea.
Not all friends should have motives , that’s a terrible way to look at life . And you’d naturally navigate to the people you are meant to be around based on your own personal growth , but you should still keep your old friends .
I agree... All this calculated bull crap will only alienate people... So unnecessary
that cardigan drip 🔥
Haha
Agree stock footage 😮
Nice one 👍 ❤️

Love the interview. But am I trippin or is there not one link for Alex’s socials nor any of his templates he mentioned??? 😕

Chris, how do you stay motivated and inspired as an entrepreneur and content creator, and what strategies do you use to maintain your creative energy over the long-term?
find what style works best for you and stick to it
I have a question and hopefully someone can help. Do you brand yourself or do you brand your business? I have a service business. Why would I brand myself and not the business itself? I’m confused.
You brand both as their own seperate entities that feed off of each other. The distinction is that people trust people, therefore having your personal brand and being a known face in your target audience industry helps drive growth to both.
Dripped in Gucci Adidas. I see you Chris
Of course the answer is to buy more courses.. Wow..
Isnt that Terry White in the video opening?
Chris Do is def different then ppl his age. Jared Leto with business on his side and best moisturizers
Haha
So I have a question. what if the service or the product that I want to provide have no specified age. like you want to create a restaurant or something like that. how can I limited the age! & of course we can't stop the other age ranges from entering the restaurant.
this is always confusing me
Hi, restaurants have other demographic /psychographic criteria you should check. Age is also important - for example people in their 20s probably visit different restaurants than people in their 50s but for restaurants the best way to segment your audience is by food taste ( Italian or Indian or Chienese), by price ( low budget, medium budget, luxury) and by entertainment type ( lounge music, no music, bar/restaurant etc). so you can create content according to these elements. For more criteria like the above try to see how tripadvisor segments the restaurants in an area. hope this helps 🙂
"of course we can't stop the other age ranges from entering the restaurant"
That's right. You can't. However, you attract specific people with your specific message (language and style in your ads, interior, service, etc.). If the wrong people come in by accident and they complain you can tell them "It's ok, it's not for you - maybe you should go to restaurant xyz".
An extreme example is "Karen's Diner". Another one is a restaurant near my city that has only one dish on it's menu - it's doing well for centuries (and it's in the middle of nowhere).
@@arispilitsopoulos1320 wow. I didn't think about that at all. thank you for the advices. It's really helpful
@@verlegen Yeah you cleared to me one of the most questions about branding. thank you
@@mustaphanail2005 my pleasure 🙂
So your golf game goes up because you're spending a lot of time with Tiger Woods, but what happens to Tiger Woods by spending so much time with you??
What if am a loner and i only hang out with youtube and Anime 😢😮. Whats my average 😮?
How did you make your thumbnail look like that?
Draw it in photoshop
oh, minute 1:15 fire
My friends are not measured by success or the value I get out of the friendship. Sure, I would let go of a losing business partner, co-worker, employee. But not friends. Something these “guru’s” are like robots with no conscience… Just dump “losing” friends
you are the average of the 5 people you spend the most time with. not everyone you spend time with is intentional. some of it is because of habit and routine. the meaning is to be more intentional with how you spend your time an with whom.
notice all the old HS friends that you outgrew and no longer spend time with?
@@thefutur the
So if you have just 5 friends and/or can’t make any new friends? Then you should help the friend as you identified as worst, to groom them/ guide them / improve their average and in return improve yours too.
You will also help raise the average of your entire group of friends.
I’m sure it’s not your best friends that you should start with . Maybe start with 5 friends from work?
Hope I said it differently enough.
You’re misinterpreting what he means. OUR LIVES ARE HEAVILY INFLUENCED BY OUR SOCIAL CIRCLES. The people we hang around with the most NORMALIZE OUR OUTLOOK. This WILL play a MAJOR role on HOW OR IF we pursue our GOALS & DREAMS.
@@WithUsersInMind Keep in mind, it’s not about you seeing bad qualities in a friend and then determining that they need to change. They would have to want to change and ask for help. Also, read my other comment to get an understanding of what they mean by “you become the 5 people you hang around with the most.”
What is that? 5:02
what is your question?
let me tank you with my language " አመሰግናለሁ (amesegnalehu)" Ethiopian

Damn autocorrect got me, yes, he's hot garbage.
I don't believe this guy knows what he's talking about. The main evidence I have is he is an adult who wears a flat brimmed high hat. Never trust a man who wears a flat brimmed high hat.
