- If you're like me and you can't pass up a big sale on your favorite meats, then you definitely need a food vacuum sealer! I use the Nesco VS-09 Vacuum Sealer. if you're buying a sealer, get the Nesco VS12. It has an automatic cutter, it double seals and has modes for wet and dry food. I got mine for $99!
good luck finding one
this thing is up to $149 now
Yeah you can’t find it for a reasonable price anymore
@@saltlifechris3623 $119 @walmart
@@RamseyAttia thanks but out of stock
Thanks! I just bought one on your recommendation. I think I will really like it! My inspiration is the vegetable beef soup I just made in my pressure cooker. I want to freeze individual portions for on the go. The ingredients were $50! I just got to thinking how much food we end up throwing out - this will pay for itself!
You're gonna love it! I've been using it for almost 8 months and it's been fantastic!
Good units. Have the VS-12, basically same unit with couple extras, the bag roll storage & cutter bar and will do double sealing. Very satisfied so far after having a very old FoodSaver unit for well over 15 years. Sealing heater element finally gave up.
I watched your vid and bought it! Love it! I have had the food saver and this one is much better! Thank you!!
Glad it was helpful! Thanks for watching!
Looking to get one. Seems this is still the best one but it’s $115 now! Thank you Wuhan!
Check out the tagged products in the video, it’s only $77
Just got this model. Gonna be vacuum sealing venison jerky & future harvest 🦌
The 1st thing I vacuum sealed was bananas.😅🤣😂enjoyed your video.
Mmmm squished bananas are a delicacy lol. Glad you’re having fun!
Thanks for this as I have a crappy vacuum sealer that's just as you described....gotta have the bag at a funky angle. Buying this one.
You will love it, it's so easy to use!
You kinda look like tom segura haha. Great video im buying one!
Pulse is if you are doing bread or chips and you don’t want to going so far it smushes or crunches.
Right on, for manually sealing. Thanks for watching!
Thank you, we just ordered one.👍and' as for the 🍌bananas, I vaccum pack mine, have several in my freezer.
Thank you for recommending
Nice shirt!
Thanks for the video!
I have had this one for 2 and a half years and loved it but now I can’t find any replacement gaskets for it. Anyone know if the foodsaver replacement gaskets will fit this VS-09?
Thank you for this tutorial
Thanks for watching!
Thanks For the review really helpful and nice shirt Guardian :)
Alright alright alright! Good catch, Bungie Used to make the best shirts!
Great review .. thanks! 🤜💥🤛
Thanks for watching!
Man nice video thanks 🙏
68 bucks! I paid 74.99 plus tax for mine st walmart. And the bads were 20 lol
I made this video almost a year ago, you’re lucky it only went up $7. Everything else in the world is 40% more expensive now than a year ago lol
@@BeergrYT yup, matter of perspective!
Hi, i’m a little overwhelmed. I have a disease that makes eating left overs not possible due to the tyramine that builds up. So… vacuum saver (also i work 60 hours a week and can only cook all my meals 1 day a week.
My big problem is that i also need to to seal containers for my dinners does this one come with a vacuum hose attachment? And do they sell special containers i can buy? Im searching youtube and google like crazy, also amazon. Its very difficult to find the hose attachment, whether certain ones come with them and… what is compatible with what
Hi there, sorry for the late reply!
This one does come with the hose attachment. It is on the underside of the top that flips up. As for what special containers you can purchase, I am sorry but I just don't know that. Hope you find what you're looking for!
I just got one of these vacuum sealers and I use it for rabbit meat and the auto back do t work that good I gotta do it manually guess cause I got more pieces in a bag
Have you tried using the auto feature on anything else?
Try something simple like a piece of bread or banana just to make sure it's not broken. If it doesn't work on those, than I would send it back and get a new one.
The only time I have had that issue is when the plastic wasn't completely flat or also when I didn't dry chicken wings before sealing and it was just too much liquid being sucked out so the seal wasn't working.
Will it run for a long period before overheating? I’m using mine for processing deer. That will be a large amount of use at one time. I’ve been looking into the higher end brands but $500 and up is a little steep.
Great question! The last time I used mine, I sealed up 40# of chicken, 20# of pork, 18# cowboy ribeye, 13# of NY strip & 10# of ground beef all without issue and all in row. I hope you would have a similar experience. They do have an upgraded unit that I think costs around $100 that probably works a bit faster. I think it's the VS-12 maybe?
When I press auto/vac on mine it just does vac doesn’t seal. Am I missing something?
Try pulling the gasket on the inside of the top and bottom out and putting them back in. I ran into that same issue once and turned out, I just had the gasket in wrong.
Tom Segura is that you ?
Damn, you caught me lol
Great! Can I use foodsaver bags?
You sure can! I have been using them for awhile now because Walmart sold out of the Nesco brand
Thanks for the video does this machine have a port for an accessory tube to be able to vacuum seal mason jars?
Hi thanks for watching, yes it does!
@@BeergrYT Thank you for replying I appreciate it
Does anyone know if the Nesko & the Seatoa is the same ? Like performs the same ? Is the Nesko better ?
They look the same but wondering if 1 performs better ! Thank you
Sorry I have not tried the other brand. I still my Nesco sealer today, almost 3 years later.
@@BeergrYT Thank you for replying 😊
What is the model number of this Nesco sealer? Is it available on Amazon? Looking for something a bit more affordable than the VS-12, and also want to be able to use a hose to seal mason jars. Thanks!!!
Hey there, the one in the video is the VS-09. It is on AMazon but at $89 now. It is $79 on the Nesco website. Link in the description.
@@BeergrYT Thank you! I really appreciate your reply & information. By the way - great video!
What’s the mode number?
VS-09
What model is this?
Can you vacuum seal over a bag or wrapper? Also, how is this one different to the deluxe V-12?
Hey there, can you give me an example of something you would want to seal up that is inside a bag or wrapper?
@@BeergrYT pre package steak
@@MD-eo2wy if it’s already vac sealed from your butcher or grocer, I would just throw it in the freezer as is. If it’s not vac sealed, I would removed it from its packaging and seal it with your Nesco
The link in the description does not lead to the one in the video :/
Looks like Walmart changed it. It's the correct model number on their site but looks like a different model. Here it is on Nesco's site → www.nesco.com/product/deluxe-vacuum-sealer-2/
@@BeergrYT I just purchased the newer model at Wally's World today. Great video!!! Now I feel more confident using the machine.
I think I will buy a second machine just in case this one goes on the fritz.
@@davecole5705 not a bad idea!!!
I bought this acouple wks ago, sadly to say I had to return it. The air came out of all my seals but 1.
Well that's unfortunate. What bags were you using and what were you sealing? I've only had that happen what sealing bulk chicken wings and I did not dry them in paper towels before sealing. Once I dried them, sealed up just fine.
@@BeergrYT the ones that came with it.
@@selfhealherbs13ms what did you happen to be sealing at the time?
wheres the external vaccume hose?
It is tucked in on the inside of the sealer. You can see it at 1:58. It's on the bottom of the top portion.
Can you tell me the model?
Hi, it’s the VS-09. There is a link to it in the video description.
Thank you so much for the info Chris Mass
Does it loss its vac seal. 🤔🤔🤔🤔🙄🙄🙄
It hasn’t in almost a year after using it consistently. The only time it wouldn’t seal was if I was sealing up chicken wings and I didn’t dry them off before sealing them up. Other than that, I’ve sealed up hundreds of pounds of meats!
@@BeergrYT Great thank you, I have 2 machines that are acting up so we just put an order in for this one. Thanks again
110watts, The VS12 is 130watts. Also, the VS12 Dual-Seals, not sure this one does.
You are correct. That one is also $40+ more. I was kind of trying to make it more of a budget option. The VS12 is definitely superior but both are great. Thanks for the info!
@@BeergrYT Thanks for the video, I had no idea they had more than 1 model until I saw your video
