River Spawning Arctic char in Scotland

These Arctic char are filmed in a small river in Westerross, Scotland. They are males, adorned in their bright red breeding colouration with white leading edges to the fins. They are awaiting the arrival of females to come up from Lough Coulin. This river is one of only a handful of rivers where char spawn in the British Isles (Normally they spawn in lakes).
