“Hey I’m a biker and I’m going to ride at insane speeds in built up areas then complain when people don’t see me”
My thoughts exactly.
Definitely not “the don’t see me” they don’t look, care, and turn from lanes that are straight only. Like the idiot that pulled in front of me. Speeding or not u don’t turn in a straight lane especially when someone’s in the lane ur turning into.
I’m a rider and I agree with you on that some idiots really dnt need to be on a motorcycle
Thank you
Yes I do think this dose happen but some if not most it’s the cars fault sometimes going out of their way to hit some one on a bike
A lot of these seem like a prime example why you shouldnt ride too fast and you should always wear gear
Or not ride at all. Some people have a tough time breathing, let alone ride a bike
The way so of these people are riding, they are not only a danger to themselves but anyone else near them 🤦🏻♂️
Generally prime examples of poor riding, unaware of car drivers blind spots, unaware of their vulnerability, gesticulating with their throttle hand therefore not in control of their bikes and what’s with the rev bombing? Bloody cretins.
I agree, Im a rider, and if some of these riders wanna ride that fast. Your going to pay the price and its your own fault.
i park my bike in the garage 6yrs ago and its not been back on the road people drive like dumba** now and dont care if they kill you on a bike and the bikers now drive worse since then they speed, don't use turn signals, brake check car (i mean y on a bike would you brake check) then half the time there now plates on them anymore and they just run from the cops utter crazyness
I like how some of the riders ride recklessly, speeding etc then blame drivers for what happens, forgetting that their own helcam footage will prove them to be the ones in the wrong.
Even tho I wasn’t in the wrong 😂 u commenters ain’t got a brain cell in ur head left I swear.
I noticed that as well
That sacramanizc at 5 minutes or so is exactly that.
Yeah, you can't blame a car for turning into the road if you drove up so fast that the driver couldn't see you coming.
Because they really think that they are right
@4:40 was a JOKE to hear the biker yelling " What are you doing?" when the BIKER is 100% of the problem.
When I saw him accepting $200 I knew he just looked like a drug addict. Driving like a crazy person in the street, then screaming at people as if someone was slitting his throat.
That is so embarrasing.
Exactly! And he could have just avoided the hit by steering to the right. As if he wanted to crash into the car
Riding like a lunatic
4:39 ... Completely the riders fault. YOU should be apologizing to the driver of the car. YES he shouldn't have turned from that lane, but YOU as a rider could have completely avoided the collision if you weren't bombing through city streets.
Not to mention they were going 55 in a 30 lol
i recently bought a gsxr, rider didn't even downshift when he saw him turning and he held the clutch in all the way towards the collision. Extremely dangerous speeds with these bikes in urban areas are our own fault. When you're on a supersport it's SO easy to accelerate due to the bike's nature but your braking is extremely hard to do well. When you're a noob you shouldn't try speeding with these bikes. You can't stop them properly without experience. At least he held the bike up, good for him on that.
Not completely the riders fault. Partially.
If he had time to say what he said, he had time to break. And he also could've swerved.
So he probably hasn't been riding long. But he's also not a skilled rider.
@@gregorylagrange that was 95% on the rider. You already know you're driving too fast for the road. Always ride expecting the unexpected. It is CRUCIAL to drive offensively on a bike.. always plan on people making the last second turn, the no signal turn, etc etc. The moment you play defense, you lose
@@bw00d21 And how do you determine it as 95%?
Even with the speed and the skill of the rider, if the truck driver makes a legal turn, nothing happens there.
Your 95 is just some random number you pulled out of the air.
I’ve been riding for around 50 years now. No collisions with other traffic, ever. Most of these videos are just showing how stupidly and unskilfully some people choose to ride. Speed, poor road positioning, not watching traction, recklessness regarding public safety, braking incompetence, and choosing to argue rather than manoeuvre out of danger. Essentially this video is a good example of what not to do.
Grandad taking it easy, letting the Harley take the strain 😂😂😂
Geriatric failure LOL
😂 I was confused, thought that there's no way it happened again 😂 that man needs a scooter.
Lol he double dipped
Thats just how harleys handle. Like a concrete brick
the harley probably didnt start after that
I have been riding off and on for almost fifty years. I barely even react anymore for the close calls except for thanking God that he had once again protected me.
The dude a 4:40 is going way too fast through a downtown area. That was completely avoidable. That is why I don't ride in towns, only back roads. Too many bad choices by bad drivers that I do my best to avoid.
The speed limit was 30mph. He was doing almost 60.
@@tonynittoli4792I got up to 51 and decelerated right away. The guy turned left in a straight only lane and stopped at a through street….but ya my speed caused it 😂 clowns
@@SacramaniacCc true he was totally at fault there. You can't turn like that and he was an idiot for doing so.
Still if you kept the speed limit you could have braked without hitting the truck.
You’re on a motorcycle. Your fault or not, be defensive. If you’re almost doing double the limit (51mph) in a congested area, you’ll easily get killed.
@@SacramaniacCc you're both at fault imo
Honestly, not much disgusts me more then seeing people put their girlfriends, or even their kids, on the back of their bike with no gear. As the rider you're responsible for your pillions safety and should know better about the risks of riding, it's all fun and games until you're the cause of someone being permanently scarred or even dead.
You’d go nuts in SE Asia … 😂
Yep. Think I circled Bali in, what, 47 minutes?
@@ma3stro681 If you look up "Countries with the highest motorcycle fatalities" you'll see SE Asian countries make up a majority of those lists though
@@ma3stro681in SEA if you ride without gear you're an alpha giga manly chad. If you wear gear in SEA people will see you like a psssy and a fashion designer lol
Unless your pillion is more worried about looking like a badass and refuse to wear any gear just to take a selfie and post it. That’s the kind of attitude mine has so I prefer to ride alone wearing my gear.
4:58 SUV made a mistake but he was driving like a lunatic.
These videos show that most motorcycle accidents could be avoided by not being an asshole rider. Always speeding. No signals. Splitting lanes and get butt hurt when they wreck. But you should drive like you're invisible.
9:39 (74-year-old man won't stay down) God bless him for getting back up, but he seriously needs to find a large parking lot and drive around in circles and figure eights every single day for a week or two before he accidentally drives into oncoming traffic. I started on a Honda CX 500 when I was 16 and I rode up and down the street for 2 or 3 weeks (until I could arrange to get my permit) and let me tell you, it helped me avoid at least several accidents. If I had gotten my permit right away and went right out on the road, I would have wrecked hard.
He might want to get a motorcycle that leans if he is going to attempt curvy roads.
@@rastus666 Yeah, I think you have to request that as an option when you buy it. It can't be added later. 🙂
Keeps amazing me that a driving course isn't mandatory before you're allowed to just take a bike out on USA roads. As long as you can drive a car it's fine it seems.
Its "target fixation" you go where you look, he is looking where he DOSENT want to go, the edge of the road, and is subconsciously going there. Look where you want to go. Its one of the things they teach at a race school.
@@YeahNo-ro6cfits location dependent. Some states require a Motorcycle Safety Foundation approved course, some dont. But theres also a lot of elder riders such as the last one on the video who are grandfather claused into getting their endorsement on their license.
that guy who got 200 for the replacement panel had himself to blame as well, obviously speeding in city limits, can't really expect for someone to see you, let alone be prepared to stop quickly in such situations.
I appreciate these videos tremendously, nowhere else in the motorcycle world can you see so many stupid things done on a motorcycle.
Most of them should stick to push bikes …
I hit a deer at 85. Collapsed lung, broken wrist and elbow, fucked up muscles (still, 6 months or so later, back issues also) but miraculously I kept the r1 up and got off the highway safely, even with losing all control and feeling in my left arm. Hid the bike behind a bush, went to the hospital, family got it a couple days later, and I rebuilt the bike. I always wear full gear, even in Arizona summer as a daily commuter. I have leather pants and a summer jacket with armor, ankle or shin high boots and leather gloves. The deer ran across the highway up ahead and I thought I was safe to continue (he already crossed...), and I had a truck in the next lane right behind me. I tried to get out of the way, but he jumped right back in front of me last minute, I got near the line in my lane trying to get out of the way but not swerve into traffic, and just clipped the bastard jumping into me and we sorta hit shoulder to shoulder... he went through my front fairing and side fairing, and seemed to miraculously miss hitting my forks or frame, likely saving my life. Or maybe he did, I don't know. The impact was pretty insanely violent, so happy I kept the bike up and stabilized. Wish I had video.
You lost me at "85".
Damn, that was one fast deer!
@@johnczerepak97045 is fairly common on the highway for most drivers, not sure where you got lost.
I swear all deer are suicidal and look for every opportunity to off themselves...
I hit one on my Dyna at 2am about 2 miles from home on way home from work. I was in a sharp corner and wasn’t going to fast but I high sided and went into the woods. My handle bars and controls where to jacked to ride and I lost my phone during the crash. I had to walk home with two broke ribs and a pine tree limb stuck in my calf and I had 3 cars pass me none would stop
Enrolling in a MSF 3-day basic rider course is the smartest thing you can do for yourself when deciding to ride. Along with classroom instruction, an instructor provides immediate feedback as you practice basic techniques used each day you ride. The cruisers going around the switchback at the end is a prime example of target fixation that is discussed and practiced. Also, while I understand a rider's frustration with cagers nearly taking them out, becoming combative is probably the worst way to respond. When you respond with blasting your horn, throttle blipping, flipping the bird, etc. you're temporarily not focused. The MSF riding strategy is SEE - search, evaluate, execute. Just keep your focus and evade the hazzard.
Abso-fucking-lutely.
Completed my class about 4 days back. Had my endorsement the next day. Avoided one potentially life changing accident today after a truck pulled out on me. Stayed on the bike, maneuvered with the same things I learned on day 2, got back home safely about an hour ago.
@@Pollutical Fantastic! Practice those skills every time you go out riding. Search out and join a safety-conscious riding club and you'll make new friends and also learn to ride in a group safely - I absolutely refuse to ride charity ride anymore, as I've encountered too many reckless riders over the years.
Have fun and ride safe! 😎
A lot of the accents could have been avoided if the rider was riding within the guidelines of the msf course.
It always amazed me that in the USA it's legal to just go buy any bike and ride on public roads without a separate motorcycle license, as long as you got a license for a car
@@YeahNo-ro6cf its not legal in my state but tbh bro people are gonna do what their gonna dk watching this yt video shows me how much they value their life i ride to work,i ride all the time i have gear on for a 10 minute rid to work i dont go faster than 5 over depending on the gear i am and the speed limit if ur unsafe in a car ur gonna be unsafe on a motorcycle nothings changes its the mentality of the operator that keeps them alive
6:27 bro going crazy running street like maniac crashing into people
taking $200 from poor couple for a piece of plastic
Shit up he needs to pay for that +that is a expensive piece of plastic those bikes can go for around 40-50k
@@FASTFORGEI see what you're doing.
I agree, that moron deserved to pay them.
Nice $200 shakedown. Guy was clearly speeding. SUV had no chance to see him.
Didn't know how to use the brakes either! 🤷
I dont know what these riders are expecting when they go 100+ kmh and hit the sharpest turn in a t-shirt and shorts
I agree
8:50 the car had a blinker on and started to merge when there was plenty of room, and the biker sped up telling the car to "look" better lmao
4:31 I love how the rider still stopped for the pedestrians, that’s emotion control and integrity
Expect the unexpected, and drive as defensive as possible. Be ready for anything, and don't drive wrecklessly or above your skill level. Also wear the right gear.
Small note. Act like you wear a Invisibility cloak. Highviz helps mostly during night and snow and changes perception of other motorists yet still think Invisibility cloak.
@@tpilot_error404 yup. i live in Florida, 90 degrees today, monday, locals are still hung over, wore my neon yellow mesh jacket, lost about 2lb's in sweat, but a car saw me at the last minute at an intersection, i saw her and was braking hard, she stopped, i know it was the jacket that saved a direct hit.
Agreed. I'll add the first piece of advice I always give newbies. Ride as if everybody in a car is trying to kill you. You'll live longer.
@@randallfender96 I have been riding for over 50 years, my son decided he wanted a street bike. My advice to him was, when on a bike you have to assume every car in front of you is going to brake check you, every car behind you will try to run over you if you slow down or stop at a traffic signal. Every pedestrian or pet will try to run out in front of you. Everything in your world has the potential to kill you, pay attention and don't make it easy for them.
It's actually safest to drive wrecklessly
6:00 no shit he wants to avoid insurance as he would be done for speeding and reckless driving and would be responsible for that whole incident. Never just hand over money.
2:58 ... Rider's fault. I know you're in the bike lane... but you approached a vehicle's blind spot while he was making a right. You gotta give him a little space.
Yup…sometimes you’ve gotta accept responsibility for your own safety!
Few understand how a trailer moves.
Don't stand still next to one , stay behind or get in front.
What I said lmao why I hate bicyclist. They think road laws don’t apply to them and they expect everyone to know they are there
@@aquapoolko That argument won’t do you much good when you’re lying broken on the ground ‘cause you were hanging out in a vehicles blind spot! You can argue the technicalities of who is right or wrong, but that won’t do you much good when the other vehicle outweighs you by 10,000lbs
Not only did the e-bike rider get right alongside a truck with a trailer who was already turning right but, why in the heck did he get as far left as he could in the bike lane?? LOL He got so close to the truck, he almost kissed it before anyone even moved.
The guy at 5:18 was going way too fast. Was clearly his fault.
These riders who think they're the phone police probably don't realize they are putting themselves in more danger by pissing off the drivers. Some drivers will do something to you.
Like fr and then get mad and scared because the people in the car are chasing you or trying to hit you😑🙄
My dad was a former dirt (scrambler) racer, and a Harley mechanic. One time, when my dad was riding his Harley, some guy in a big white Cadillac tried to run my dad down for no reason! He tried even running him into the guard rail on an overpass turn (SF Bay Area) and my dad had to lean so much that sparks were flying up. Luckily, my dad got away.
I saw one of DanDan's videos once and a dude cut a rider off at a traffic light, and jumped out of the car with a massive fireaxe he pulled from under his seat! It was insane, that could've gone so badly.
@@FandangoTheGrom Exactly. Perfect anecdote.
"These are roads are rough ain't they"
09:37 and 09:54 I felt bad for the poor man.
I see what you’re saying… but it’s painfully obvious that he can’t ride
Drunk?
3:00 So this guy drives from the pavement for pedestrians on the bicycle-lane, pulls up very close to a truck that's already been there and clearly wants to go to the right and thinks it's the fault of the truck?
I love how some of them just censor their speedometer, so they know exactly that they are driving too fast and still want to blame others on their accident. Man I hope there are enough trees so those bikers can smash against them.
Cyclists are even more entitled than squids and usually only half as smart.
The "pavement for pedestrians" has a nice ramp down to the bike lane. Wonder why that's there.
Anyways, it looks like he didn't anticipate the truck cutting the turn so close.
@@kingnull2697 That ramp is for wheelchairs. We learned that in grade school.
@@joshrandall3632 The ramp in line with the bike leading onto a busy road, which couldn't be used to get out of a car (which shouldn't stop in the right lane of a busy 4-lane road anyways)?
Where do you find these ramps again? Never seen them before.
“Pavement for pedestrians” it’s called a sidewalk. 😂
8:38 classic example of biker being invisible, he is riding where it's impossible for the cage driver to see him
I make it a habit never to ride in someones blindspot regardless of what type of vehicle I'm in. Obviously bumper to bumper traffic is unavoidable. My 1st accident as a teenager I failed to check my blindspot. 🤦
hmm if the driver looked im pretty sure they would have seen the biker, i mean fr though.
So I've been riding for a couple of years now, started back in 2020. I started with a 125cc chinese motorcycle, done about 20000km on it, just got my brand new KTM Duke 390 2023 straight of out of the dealership.
I've seen a lot of biker videos and speaking from my experience this is what I would have done. I just cant stress enough how much you need to use your god damn breaks. Most videos I see is a rider either cursing, yelling, revving or using their horn instead of breaking or trying to maneuver around a threat, I understand in some cases nothing can be done and it would be smart to honk or something to get the drivers attention, but always try to break or maneuver the threat, chances of someone being able to move so fast from your way or something are slim to none. Just use your breaks, they exist for a reason. Everything can happen and in some situations you can't do anything to save yourself from crashing, but when you can break instead of doing the above I've stated, you should break.
Don't overreact and start cussing and honking or similar. Stuff like this happens to us riders on a daily basis, you just gotta learn where to position yourself in this types of situations and expect the unexpected. And I've heard this a lot... "Don't go fast, unless you can stop fast" or at least if you're gonna drive fast in cities or in a corner, break at the right time so you're able to save yourself if a situation arises where you'll need to evade danger or similar. Ride safe guys. :)
Yeah. That's what I learned in my first two years of riding in the SF South Bay Area (bad drivers who drive really fast around here). Expect the unexpected (because I learned it happens on a regular basis) and don't ride your motorcycle the way you would drive a car BUT use your brakes too!
I though I was the only one the dude in 1:50 got it right
The last guy must been under the influence because those turns were a piece of cake. Haha
Under the influence of riding a Harley 😂
He's gotta stop riding before he hurts himself.
He should definitly stay at home, before he lost a leg at a crash barrier. 🙈
I watched the full video to this. He's elderly and no longer had the strength to handle the weight of the bike.
It looked like target fixation, he was looking at the edge of the road, and thats where he went. Always look to where you WANT to go, not where you DON'T want to go.
1 lane in the US seems like 3 lanes in Brussels, Belgium for me :p. The amount of space you guys get is amazing.
yet most riders here have absolutely no clue how to ride properly unless they're in a straight line.
Yeah but Brussels has a 30kmph slowness limit.
Most people here don’t drive smart cars and bikes. Vehicles are large here
Yes so true! I’m Canadian and was just in Paris and it seems all the motorbikes and scooters, vespas get the line between the lanes!
Pretty skilled riders over there! As a rider I was impressed!
0:21 Love the new rider's protective gear, especially his rubber gloves 😂
The guy that hit the 8 red suburban had PLENTY of time to stop and looked like he was speeding. Then wanted just cash
He used his time to swear instead of braking.
01:48 thanks for sharing my clip🤘🏾⚡️🤘🏾
9:38 most iconic chad voice
2:59 could’ve been prevented if you had just biked a lil bit to the side.
Yes, as a life-long cyclist I can tell you that the cyclist in the video was an idiot. The truck had his signal on and was clearly preparing to make a right turn and if it had been me on the bike I would have held back behind the trailer until he turned. Of course, normally a car is supposed to get as far to the right as possible well before making a right hand turn but in this case I'm not sure cars are allowed to go into the bike lane to prepare for a turn so its up the cyclist to keep an eye out for people turning right.
@@SLOBeachboy Absolutely. I've ridden pedal bikes for decades, and you always let the right hand turners go before you. They aren't looking for a bike to squeeze up beside them. That guy was asking to get crushed.
he wanted it to happen. It's why he has the stupid horn on there.
@@user-wz8gj4mc4q yes he got exactly what he wanted, he just didn't get the end result he wanted.
GEAR UP!!! Tough guys aint tough in traction with no skin left. And you don't look cool in the hospital no matter what.
Chicks dig scars and the emergency room is always open.😂
HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAH "hey look a big pile of leaves..let me ride thru it!!" HAHAHAHA
Motor Maroon should’ve either sped up or slowed down, not try and fight with a 3,000lb car next to him. That’s a fight you’ll lose no matter how pissed you rightfully are.
Bro, if my friends or family would catch me on my bike with no gear, they would smack the s**t out of me!
And i love that so much 😅
09:400 This guy rides motorbikes like how I go bowling, aim for middle and always end up hitting the bumpers on the side.
Sacramaniac, does twice the speed limit then gets upset because someone turns in front of his. Looks like a temporary citizen.
And doesn't brake to avoid the crash!
Been riding over 25 yrs, and half of these are ego'd squids with unreasonable expectations of vehicle drivers.
I remember when i start to ride at the age of 16 on a 50 ccm Honda (42 yrs ago) some other Teenagers with their 50 ccm and scooters try to mock me because i wears Boots and a Biker Jacket in summer, too. They said "haha, you think or pretend to be a big bike owner for to impress other, yeah?". In my opinion they were stupids because i knew that a crash or fall with a 40 or 50 kmh speed can hurt or injure, too...need some sand in a curve and you love your tough jacket and your gloves...at low speed.
I cant understand these eggheads who rides big bikes in summer only wearing sport shoes, shorts, T-Shirt and Helmet...
I have for 47 years now, just a helmet. But I left the streets for the mountains because two jack offs on crouch rockets blew by me one day and damn near clipped me. Most that ride street can't ride dirt very well.
9:31 That man should consider a riding training asap.
4:44 if they knew how fast you was going they wouldn't pay for it. You was easily going double the speed limit. How where they? uspost to see you coming. If your going to speed do it on open country roads.
Bikes are wonderful fun and I have been riding since 1979. Never would I ride outwith my skill level or without gear, complete madness! Senseless lying in hospital minus a leg regretting you did not take greater care!
The first one was hilarious. 1st bike 1st ever ride. Looked like he might need training wheels 😂
He should have started on a smaller bike, looks a J model ZX6R, capable of around 160mph, imagine him out on the open road?😆
@uhtred7860 I'd say like maybe a 250 or 500 first for a beginner. They usually do around 130 to 140 tops. A 600 isn't such a good starter bike especially with a top speed of 160 lol. I rode a few 600s and they have spunk behind them. Very snappy lol. I'll stick with dirt bikes and mini bikes. 120 is plenty fast for me on a bike. I have a dragster mini bike that will be pretty nasty. With a predator 212. All billet and forged components inside, plus an AMR300 supercharger/blower and a small nitrous kit. I have it on my mini bike now, but not ready yet. Still hooking everything up and need some timing keys so I can start it. It's a little out of time at the moment. It also has 1.2 roller rockers, 26 lbs springs and a nice little race cam. I've been building it for about 7 or 8 years now. But I might build up a go kart and put it on that instead. Not sure what I wanna do yet. But I'm experienced on riding bikes and go karts lol. This guy not so much lol
I like how Sacramaniac conveniently left out that he was going 40mph over the speed limit.
9:03 This is a perfect example of the worst thing about modular helmets. People don’t keep them down and locked when riding slowly. In almost all situations, they protect as well as a full face, but if the accident happened just a little bit differently, rider and/or passenger could have had facial injuries. If you’re moving, lock it down!
6:39 you know youre too nice when you're apologizing for someone having to pay for nearly killing you
I know it was the drivers fault but if the rider would have been going a reasonable speed that wouldn't have happened.
I’ve been seeing an increase in cars riding my ass, illegally over taking even in the same lane, and cutting me off. I started going like 10 to 20 over thinking maybe my Speedo was off but it’s still an issue scary part is how many are texting and driving when they do it too.
Yup. Can't cruise anywhere anymore. People treat us like we are all 49cc scooters. (Which are cool. Just stay on the side of the road lol) it's horrible. People do 50 in 35s
They are also hitting people walking since pedestrian deaths are going up a lot after falling in the 2000s. There needs to be more enforcement of speed limits and texting and driving laws, I feel like it's one of the effective ways.
Yep that's why I have a dual sport now. Staying in the mountains!
I keep that piece on my hip exposed as an extra encouraging device to remind them to value mine the same as they value theirs!
Its also motorist fault
How many don’t realize that motorcycles also have horns?!? I would use it way in advance at the first sign and as a preventative method. Blind spot coming up, a little beep beep to warn others. Aside from Southern California, most normal drivers would react and get out of the way. Sometimes just enough to save the day.
That Sacramaniac guy was doing like 2-3x the speed limit and then goes off at the lady for cutting him off and makes her and her hubby pay for the repairs 😂 I'd kick his bike off the stand and drive off.
That old timer at the end needs to get something a bit more manageable .😂
1:48 that trucker definitely was not paying attention to not know the cyclist have the right of way, literally had to stop on a dime. Definitely scary.
I reached out to the company via email, but they never got back to me🤷🏽♂️
At the same time, this is the incident that I predicted once e-bikes hit the scene. Drivers are used to typical cyclist approach speeds and think they have more than enough time to turn. Seems like a regulation requiring e-bikes have a specific front light would make sense. Or assume all "bikes" are motorized and approaching quickly. Either way, this has got to be a common problem.
9:33 Omg grandpa absolutely abusing that Harley

One of the things that really stuck with me for some reason was that, even if there is room next to a semi with a trailer, check their indicator. If they're turning right, don't pull up next to them because the space in the right lane is about to disappear. The same thing applies to vehicles with trailers in general.
That damage is on you buddy.
wearing gear is one of the most basic yet important things to do on a bike
it's odd to me that we have to remind people so often and a lot of people still don't listen
it might feel nice to ride gearless but the moment you as much as lay over your bike at high speed, let alone full on crash, you'll regret it 100%
when you're sliding across the road at that speed, you'll want every bit of protection you can get
you NEVER know what's gonna happen by chance or what other people are gonna do, even if you think you do
regardless of what you do or how good you are at riding
some people are better at avoiding crashes but some situations are impossible to get out of
chances are, you're gonna crash at least once if you ride consistently, so don't take your chances without wearing gear
I have no sympathy for riders not wearing gear. I prefer to sweat like a pig than to lose skin. I dropped my light 125cc when leaving a T junction (no one was around, I did a stupid mistake that caused the bike to tip at no speed), fell on my foot. If it weren't for my riding boots, I'd be dealing with broken bones.
I think wearing bright gear is important too. Ever since I started looking like an highlighter, people sport me way more often and my close calls went way way down.
Also I find gear looks cool, so I want to wear it! :D
@HifeMan Consent is sexy, safety gear is cool. I look like the 'good' example of a motorcyclist from the highway code, and that's fine.
3:00 Cyclist wanted to be a victim. Why stop so close to the truck when the bike lane is so wide?
thats true. you have to set yourself up for success instead of relying on others to pay attention to you. I work in an industrial complex and theres a lot of big rigs with huge trailers. often times, if i find myself turning in while theyre turning out, you just stop short and give them the space they need. same thing here, buddy can clearly see the truck has a boat in tow, its very simple and easy to stop short and allow them to make their turn
Plenty of guys in wheelchairs who "had the right of way". Always refer to the law of gross tonnage before you consider who is right or wrong.
When i did my bike test, you were taught to perform multiple ' life saver' checks as you rode. If you accelerate you check behind you, if you brake you check behind you, if you change road position you check behind you. Basically before you did anything, you check around you, so apart from something falling out of the sky it is almost impossible to get caught out.....if your driving properly. Driving in town, in traffic, at excessive speed, thats on you. so stop moaning at the other road users...learn to ride properly
adam Spot on! Defensive riding saves your butt. Many of these guys won't reach middle age IMO.
Not to be mean or anything but I love how at the very end the motorcycle kinda slides on the rail and the guys is just like I’m alright! 👍🏻
Bruh slow down and don't T-bone SUV's
The car was in the wrong lane? Yes the rider shouldnt ha e sped but its not always the riders fault when the two parties do smth illegal. Being in the wrong lane is more wrong than js speedig
50/50 fault there. Unnecessary from the biker to be speeding but also poor surroundings check by the suv and he didn't indicate.
@@larshiilly Yeah the car was clearly wrong but the biker had 58mph in a city, even when there were markings on the street that you should slow down because pedestrians are crossing, it was his fault too, this wouldn't had happened if he would've driven only 30mph.
Get a police report. I wouldn't think of trying to do them a favor with a sweetheart deal of letting them fix my bike. They made an illegal turn in front of you. You may have been speeding, that may not help your cause though.
@@larshiillythank u dude. And I got paid for damages and was unhurt. Even opened my eyes a bit to how dumb people can be and are out here in Cali
3:00 this is the fault of the bicyclist. 100%.
You don’t ride into someone’s blind spot and stop so close to a person with a turn signal and a trailer that when they make their turn you get hit.
The cyclist knew the car was turning. And knew it had a trailer. They also likely know that the person in the car is unlikely to have any idea that the cyclist arrived.
It’s still up to YOU to keep yourself from dying out there.
Im 60yrs old, ridden motorbikes since 16, never crashed, ridden mopeds to k1600, and the self righteous bullshit and crap riding is astonishing.
Got his first motorcycle and doesnt even wear a helmet
Been riding 45 years with just a helmet both on road and trails. I'm fine, maybe just maybe don't act like idiots on the roads, save it for the trails unless u can't handle the trails.
My first ride was when I was 3, first bike in 1957. I started in L.A., but from the beginning I heard 'I don't give two farts if it's hot, wear your leather.' It's ATGATT since '58 and I never regretted it.
This is a compendium of what-NOT-to-do on two wheels: Not wearing gear, speeding, target-fixing into turns, riding in blind spots, taking power away from the wheels to rev-bomb instead of maneuvering to avoid collisions.
Although it's often very warm outside when I go riding, I always wear protective gear from head to toe. Better to be safe,Especially on a motorcycle! In addition, It's always a great idea to have your GoPro or what have you filming at all times, as I can see you did which helps capture all the people in their cars, not paying attention.
Ride Safe, Aloha from Maui 🤙
a couple of motorcycle idioms - ATGATT (all the gear, all the time) & my favorite is "you can sweat or you can bleed".
Seems like most of these clips are of inexperienced Riders. Rev Bombing, wearing no Gear, Jerky over the top hand control movements, Speeding in Towns, acting for their Go Pro and generally not being able to control the hi powered motorcycle they bought. They seem to not have the basic skills to ride! Most of these Riders will learn the hard way!
You can't expect people to not be on their phones, to follow all traffic laws exactly, to be on lookout at every moment for a very small vehicle. Need to do your part as a motorcycle rider to protect yourself and keep yourself out of bad situations not the other way around.
06:27 love it! no lawyers, no insurance, no fuss. the right thing. right there. victory for humanity.
2:29
How did that happen????? i can't explain it to myself.
Our hero was going 65 mph around a 25 mph curve and realized that his turn would put him in front of oncoming traffic. Rather than do that, he panicked. Probably grabbed a handful of front brake.
Please have your pillion wear gear. Most don't understand the actual risks of riding, and it's our responsibility to protect them. Whether you wear gear or not, don't let your ego hurt someone who doesn't know how easy it is to end up out of work or in the ICU
The pillion‘s safety is the responsibility of the rider.
I've taught a bunch of people to ride, I got a old beat up Suzuki TU250 that's more or less indestructible, letting people know that I couldn't care less if they went down on it, damage wise, really relaxes them and they pick things up faster when the only thing they're worried about is themselves
0:19 dont make him feel bad for stalls.
When I teach a person new to manual transmissions in a car or on a bike I always make them stall a couple times just to show them it isn’t a big deal. “Let out the clutch fairly slowly. Don’t give it any gas.”
From there it builds into feeling the clutch grab.
From there it’s letting out the clutch slowly enough to get the vehicle moving without any gas.
From there it’s using gas while letting out the clutch.
This prevents people from using too much gas and it makes them more relaxed with the whole process. No stress. Nothing scary. Step by step we add more.
Just a bunch of guys riding out of their skill level, can’t be a fast boi if you don’t stop
Imagine not obeying traffic laws while riding a pedal bike
4:54 Yells at driver instead of braking/swerving to avoid crash. Great strategy.
That old man dumping it twice lmao poor guy
Sacramaniac needs to learn how to ride at speeds he can handle
yeah, that part INFURIATED ME. Jesus christ bro, you're speeding through the streets and then panic brake, barely get a scrape and then act like they need to pay for your plastics. Glad the idiot posted it, it'll be fun when their insurance finds it
Most of these are a result of speeding.
last dude was drunk lol😂 thank God he alright
I love it when I see an organ donor, wearing a helmet and just regular shorts and a short sleeve shirt. As a rider, you would never catch me without full gear even in 108° Texas heat.
How about squido with his girlfriend on the pillion sporting a matching Shoei helmet, but wearing a tank top, daisy dukes and flip flops.
There are way too many self righteous attention whores riding these days. You are not the police. Worry about what YOU are doing.
Guarantee they wouldn’t be like this if they didn’t have a camera.
@@Rycerz49 Probably not.
Most of these are the riders fault. This channel should be called how not to ride a bike.
Can’t tell these squids nothin 😂😂😂
My instructor always said, "Skin versus concrete. Concrete ALWAYS wins."
3:42 Cringe checklist:
✅ Revbomb instead of using horn because ego was hurt
✅ Cusses at the car and throws his hand in the air
✅ Cuts around the speedbump without slowing (guess why that's there?)
Slight curve ahead...biker goes into the ditch. Straight road...bike has the death wobble. Small pebble or dew on road...rip. I gotta get me a bike.
I just have an ebike with hand throttle rn lol but its so scary when you almost fall over some gravel lmao, you turn onto a road and slide even when going slow its kinda scary, but atleast I have a helmet lol
FlowerCrow hits that intersection every single day and does the same shit everytime. At this point he wants someone to run over him or something jesus christ
4.41 looked like he was going far to fast for the conditions. Ok driver cut lane but would not have though bike was doing that kind of speed.
9:40 old dude just started going into a long story 🤣
You are driving fast without proper gear! And you DEMAND from the others to look after you!!!🤣🤣🤣🤣
So I always look out for Motorcycles but when they are running at 97 mph it's really hard to see them & have time to react. Y'all are just running way above the speed limits. You guys get pissed at cars when they speed, what about the Motorcycles huh? Back to Driving School 101.
Don't know about America but in Australia most driving intructors cant drive & unfortunately have been teaching a few past generations how to drive & it is only getting worse with each generation. Phones & a huge screen in the middle of modern cars only add to the demise of driving ability.
Cheers
And that’s why it’s called KAOS DRIVERS 🌎🙌
2:04 Guy literally almost dies and then immediately continues to drive like a careless jackass.
6:18 did this guy just scam himself with 200 for the damage. It looks like to me at least 500bucks
maybe for a full fender kit 500 on the low end for one i mean. But that looks like a factory fender and it only hit one panel. also looked like three hundred not 200. that one panel prob costs 200 though
@@robertcarey9052 up until you get home and realize the damage. Wouldn’t risk it or unless double check on a parking lot.
The bike was flying and not paying attention to his surroundings. He was late with his reaction to that guy turning. The SUV was totally wrong for making that turn, but when you are on a bike you are totally responsible for your own life. You must become a master at calmly avoiding idiots. There are many and you have to spot them early and avoid them.
