Great video as always! A friend of my was told by a Toyota garage that his truck with this engine used a timing chain, so he never gave it a thought until he seen another video changing the timing belt. He spoke to a different Toyota garage concerning the belt, he got the kit changed it himself. He told me his truck had over 200,000 miles! He got lucky. Thank again for your videos!

@zzoinks It sure is Sir. Brake that timing belt and chances are the engine will be toast, valves will be bent or worst depending on the engine speed when the belt brakes.
20 year old Sequoia with 89 K miles?!? That's barely broken in!

The timing belt in my 2002 sequoia is the second it had replaced at 90k miles and replaced prior to my purchase of it at 135k miles in oct 2010. It now has 210k miles. No problems still.

Awesome SUV! I was looking for one couple years ago but hard to find one. Built to last a lifetime if you can afford the gas mileage.

One of my co-workers has 3 in the family with mileages between 375k and 140k.
He says the same thing, put up with the gas it consumes and you got yourself a bulletproof tank.
Right now buying a used car is just pointless, way overpriced.
