What a harvest the Lord is Good. Wish I new someone who had apples. When my kids were small we would go and get floor apple from a neighbor no one else wanted them because they thought they were damaged but they made the best applesauce for all winter.
The marketing machines of supermarkets have convinced us that our fruit and veg (and meat) need to look perfect and conform to some standard that they have made up! We are doing everything we can to have good tasting, healthy, artificial-chemical-free food and to us it doesn't matter what it looks like. Windfall apples are usually very sweet, tasty and free food! Thanks for watching!
The applesauce looked delicious, and will be so good to have through the winter. Our grandkids love it.
Served with roast pork with crispy crackling - yum!

I am so jealous of how much you are able to harvest. One day I will get to that point as well ( i hope).Sorry about your outside tomatoes.
Loads to harvest, but oh boy, it was also loads of work getting it all into the ground at the start of the year!
Have you ever fried a green tomato?
I certainly have, I didn't like it much, but I don't like fried tomatoes - I love green tomato chutney though!
