🇨🇺 COQUITO: Coconut: Boil coconut, cinnamon and sugar for 30 minutes and then spread it on a dough biscuit. | Guava with Cheese: Add guava jam and cheese onto the same biscuit as the coconut.

🇨🇺CHURRO: Squeeze the dough into churro shape, fry it for just a few seconds in oil (until golden color), roll it in sugar and then squeeze in condensed milk.
🍕CUBAN PIZZA: Roll out the dough and place it on an individual, greased baking pan. Cover in pizza sauce and tons of cheese. Add ham and bake until the cheese is melted and the edges of the pizza start to brown.

Tomika Achumi they don’t show everything, havana is NOT a beautiful place. I went there on vacation and I have to say it’s disgusting. People beg for literally anything, it’s sad. Basic things the average person should be able to buy. Pads, tampons, hairbands, pencils, paper, deodorant, ect. It’s just sad and horrible. Don’t be fooled by the pretty old cars either. We got in a Chevy Bel Air and found it was literally half put together on the inside. Most of those cars have no shocks and are janky because they don’t have any real mechanics. They DIY most cars, that’s why there’s so many Cuban horses. It’s easier to feed a horse than it is to fix an old car, especially if you’re doing it yourself.
Oh and there’s no traffic lights 😂 for literally miles. You may see a stop sign here and there or a single light but that’s it. The way they drive is super unsafe, we thought we were going to die a few times.
I went to 3 different countries on my trip, I knew what I was getting into but you never know how bad it really is until you see it. That’s my whole point. They won’t let people post the bad, only the good.
I love how successful Sonny has been. I remember watching his videos that struggled for 50,000 views and here we are at half a million in one day.

i looooved this series of Cuba. I went to Cuba back in 2006 for university and am telling you this just brought me back to the life, culture and most of all the food! So happy to see them in this beautiful light as many dont know the beauty of this country unless you go there. from a proud Jamaican!
Cuba is not a food destination. For the last 50+ years they've just been scrapping together sustenance with what little they have. Meals like what Sunny got served are exceptionally difficult to find, and usually illegal. In Sunny's case he was lucky to get decent food because the government knew he was filming for an international audience, so they hooked him up with much better stuff than you would normally get, in order to make themselves look good. A normal tourist would not get these things. If you want real, traditional Cuban food you go to Miami.

@@mika9883 I know, it's sad, but Miami is the only "real" Cuba left. Little Havana, Flagami, Hialeah, Westchester, other Cuban-majority enclaves, that's where you find the real culture of old-school Cuba. And the food still lives on there, and it is fucking delicious.

Cubans live in poverty and misery. You just have to get out of the turistoc area.
Is not about riches or poverty. It’s about seeing lovely people do what they can with what they have. None of the areas he has been in so far are tourist hot spots. This is the real Cuba, nothing is being hidden or made seem more glamorous that what really is. If you don’t believe me, or the show, go check it out by yourself. You will fall in love with a third world country and the people there.

and the fact that he managed to get the cuban people to have an almost 100% literacy rate, and be competitive in sports and have not just the most medics per capita in the world, but also the best medics is a testament to his administration skills. any other leader in that same position(a brutal embargo that completely cuts you off trading with anyone) would have had most of his people die of starvation and be illiterate.
i dont support everything he did, but there's no denying that he had amazing administration skills.
