I love nuns. I was a volunteer at a shelter for the homeless that was run by nuns. I was taken back at their dedication, kindness and the immense joy and compassion that just seem to glow around them. I felt such a sense of peace working with them. God bless all the women who dedicate themselves to God and others. You are such a breathe of fresh air to our world.
The sacrifice these people make.. leaving being their sweethearts for God's divine calling is just incredible. I'm forced to remind myself they too are common people like me with a personal life. and a great willpower! Thanks dear sister!

It seems impossible for me to get married. I had trusted God that by 25, I would’ve met an amazing girl by now. I have never even been in a single relationship ever despite all my prayers and other, and I am in despair because I really have lost hope of ever becoming a family man husband and father. I am only thinking about priesthood and religious life only because of my agony with women. There is no joy or peace in my discernment of those vocations, let a lone my life. I am convinced my future wife doesn’t exist because the “good” and not even the “bad” women like me because I guess I am not tall and handsome enough. I think about ending my life. I trusted God and now I dont think I have ever been more desperate, more lonely and sexually frustrated, more destitute, desolate, miserable, and isolated than ever. I think I’m gonna end up as a half hearted and sad, bitter priest or monk who wished he got married instead. I thought I could trust God, but I guess not. I regret saying all those rosaries and other prayers for “my future wife and I to be made ready” for each other. I hate my life

I have a sickness that prevents me from working to my current profession...as I asked for a prayer and blessing of a Benedictine monk He sent this message: "Yes I will pray for you at morning mass. Exactly!! I started crying immediately because I went through a very bad experience but came out of it much closer to God and I wouldn’t trade that for the world.
I was thinking about which vocation is right for me all day today: vocation of singleness, consecrated virgin, or being a nun. So, I went online and flipped a coin, a coin that only God can control, and said, "Lord, tell me your will. Tails for singleness, heads for being a nun." The result was heads. I asked again, "Lord, tell me your will. Tails for consecrated virgin, heads for nun." I got heads again. The third time I said, "Lord, let's try this a third time for good measure." Guess what. The answer was Heads. The chances of getting Heads three times in a row is 12.5%, which is highly unlikely and it's completely fair if it's online, since there's no way for a human to control the results. Then I stumbled across this video and this is pure confirmation from the Holy Spirit of His will for my life.

The same thing happened to me, we were sent to Bible school at the baptists, my dad gave us a Rosary to my sister and myself. My mom knew the Catholic religion thru my grandmother but faith didn't really click until I read the gospels which I ran thru and converted in five months. Thank you Jesus.

These sisters are witnesses to true femininity. They live virtue like our Lady. Married and single women can live this too, but these sisters are wonderful examples. I would rather be with, interact, and share life with these sisters than any group of feminists, left-wing, Code Pink, Resistance, or pro-abortion women anyday. These sisters are joyous; they exude Christ and our Blessed Mother; they are other-centered and generous. The feminists are angry, hateful, selfish, arrogant, cruel, spiteful, and on and on. Allison, God speaks to many many people and they know His voice. As the Good Book says the flock recognise the voice of the true shepherd. I am one of the hundreds of thousands people who hear His voice today. It is heard by all those who seek Him and who listen attentively for His voice with the ear of the spirit. We recognise Him clearly and unmistakably. For those who have questions on the source of the voices we have 2 tests. First test the spirit asking is Jesus Christ is , the answer to that is obviously yes. Second ask for a witness to the message, that is another person you know should receive the same message just to make sure you are not losing it! I don't know what is like to suffer from delusions but I can imagine that it is scary, unlike what we experience. I pray they turn to God for help. God bless you.
allison hwang God would never ask you to kill someone - that's how you know if the voice is delusional or not. No one is bad or "very bad" for believing in God. What's tragic is when someone with a mental illness doesn't get the help they need and ends up doing something they never meant to do.
One could as easily say your lack of belief is amoral. The truth is, there's nothing amoral about it, nor does a belief equal "mentally weak" as you like to presume. And on the flip side, we know there are and have been plenty of "ethically devoid" humans who don't believe - perhaps those are the ones preventing aliens from visiting us lol.
What you call supernatural today might very well be called natural in a century. We have constantly pushed the boundaries of our understanding of the universe. So don't be too quick to smack the label "not real" on stuff with your limited understanding of how they really work.

Funny how something similar is happening to me, I am discerning religious life and I too met this boy who I developed feelings for, we currently have a relationship that started not long ago, but I am restless, I notice how merely praying makes me feel so much better in so many levels, that I almost feel “how could I choose this over God?” But I had made a decision on experimenting “both sides of the coin” in order to properly discover what God wanted for me, and I think it’s more than clear now. I am only afraid of breaking this boy’s heart, because he’s been so nice and comprehensive, he knows I’ve felt called to religious life, but I am afraid of making him feel bad about it

I am a 50 year old man with 3 children, happily married and am deeply moved by the story of her calling. I guess its because God does call all of us personally and we all have a job that God wants us to do. It may not be when your 16 or 20 and to join a convent or seminary. It can be at anytime. Maybe to usher in your church or march for March of Life. Will we hear his call? Are we listening?
You know, thanks for this. I had my heart broken yesterday as I wanted and thought that being a protestant was my religious path but God planted a strong pull to catholicism. I was haunted with doubts and restless feeling while imagining my life as a protestant. My anxiety was usually high. I have alot of admiration and respect for the nuns who taught at my grammar school. They dedicated themselves to a life of service teaching the children. It gave me a solid moral foundation.

I had my heart broken yesterday as I wanted and thought that being a protestant was my religious path but God planted a strong pull to catholicism. I was haunted with doubts and restless feeling while imagining my life as a protestant. My anxiety was usually high. I'm still afraid of being a catholic but if it's were God is calling me, then there's where I'll go

This is me! I have the same stirring to give my life to Krishna and live in chastity, poverty and obediance! You made me bust out in tears sister! I am 29 and have a similar love story. I know this breaks my partners heart, but I feel like Krishna has just swept my heart away! My father and brothers are preachers and so the teachings of Lord Jesus were rooted at my foundation. Now as an adult I have finally made the decision to not only live for God, but to RENOUNCE all else and dedicate my life to help guide souls back to Godhead🙏🏾🙌🏾

I have alot of admiration and respect for the nuns who taught at my grammar school. They dedicated themselves to a life of service teaching the children. It gave me a solid moral foundation.
