What’s the Night of the Living Dead movie about?
Johnny (Bill Moseley) and Barbara (Patricia Tallman), brother and sister, visit their mother's grave. No sooner have they arrived than Barbara is attacked by a zombie. Johnnie manages to pull Barbara out of the clutches of her attacker but falls during the struggle, smashing her skull in front of her sister's stunned eyes. Barbara manages to escape and finds refuge in a house not far away. As soon as she enters, she realizes that there are zombies surrounding the house. Then comes Ben (Tony Todd from Candyman), an African-American in his 4X4 that is about to run out of petrol, who wants to shut himself in the house while waiting for help. Having heard the noise inside, they discover that they are not alone in the house. Indeed, five other people have taken refuge in the cellar. They are Tom (William Butler), the nephew of the owner of the house, his wife Judy-Rose (Katie Finneran), Harry (Tom Towles), his wife Helen (McKee Anderson) and their daughter Sarah (Heather Mazur) who is injured. From then on, they will try to find a way to survive by preventing the zombies from entering the house while hoping that help will arrive quickly...

Love how he continues to try to save Barbara and she just fucks him up instead of the actual zombie
It almost feels like a parody at that part
in the original he doesn't. He just fucks around with her mind.
XD I like how there's a Fake out.
Fans think that old guy is the first zombie like in the original one but he's "in the process of dying" and then BAM 2nd zombie.
I think the old dude is also a cameo of the first zombie in the original film.
This scene has lived with me since the day I first saw it! Brilliant film which of course I own every version
You don't own EVERY version.
They could. My one boyfriend owned every single one I think
I love this movie but the zombie removing Barbara's glasses gets me every time!
Thank God George's editor forgot the Copyright for the film opening up an entire genre of horror. The Walking Dead would bever be around for that simple overlook.
That's one of the worst head smashing, neck break, scenes I've ever seen in cinema.
I mean, it’s the 1990’s so it’s to be expected.
Besides, it’s kinda funny.
Not to mention you can obviously tell it was a dummy
Thats parts of the Charm
Deadbeat at Dawn
When I first saw this remake in the theater, I swear I thought David Cronenberg played her brother.
😂
There's a remake?! Ew. No..... who plays Ben?..... The same actor who plans William Bludworth?! Nvm. I love it.
The 1990 version was the remake, the original Night of the living dead was in 1968
The film alone is an amazing remake, seriously, thanks to Pat Tallman and Tony Todd mostly but also the music, the special FX really good for that time. BUT.... Patricia is a such an amazing woman, she is so hot in this movie that even today it gives me the shivers, the jawline and short haircut, holy smokes!
Wow the realization at 2:17 is really good
it's more awesome when you're mom's name is Barbara
I'd I was a 90s kid loved this stuff, I like the original but this is my fave.
Pat is always so good
Was he apologizing because he lead the zombie to them?
No, he was probably halfway to turning
I like your guys theories but I heard a different version; he just finished having to kill a zombie for the first time, and of course he's not sure of what's going on whether they're Undead or not. So he has a damaged head from the fight, and he still feels guilty over killing saying that he's sorry. And you guys have a point he's definitely close to death or passing out, or at least damage from that head wound
He was the Hearse Driver, the dead guy he was bringing there reanimated and attacked him. So he's hurt, disoriented and thinking he did something wrong
I always thought he was bitten by one of the zombies and was in the process of turning one, due to the way he walks, his injury and it looked like he was about to attack Barbara, but stopped himself, and was apologizing because he wasn't intending to hurt her. He was in the process of changing.
I myself prefer the very first one ..black and white version.. gives it a much more sinister feel and the actors were much more believable. They took the original and added color and that kind of ruins the mood.
This clip is from a remake and while it was actually well done it did not capture the same mood as the classic. I spoke with George Romero before he died at a horror convention. I had my copy of the original and “Dawn of the Dead” autographed. He actually agreed with me on this point. The news reel feel of the original was lost.
The remake was done so George Romero could actually make some money out of NOTLD. The copyright was lost to the 1968 original due to an error and it was in the public domain being exploited.
it sucks that he lost the rights to the original but at least the remake he got his money for it too. I liked both personally, changing times and such made it both different of course
The music sounds like it's from the original Resident Evil game.
Happy Birthday Bill Moseley!
I Love it 😂
I’m scared !! 🥸👍
I had no idea there was a remake.
