@rickking228 I think it's overrated, it's a decent film but no substitute for the original classic! the only Zack film i love was Watchmen and Legends of the Guardians and i don't mind 300 as a fun film
I feel sorry for the guy walking down the road who got hit by the car. He was just doing his own stuff, not hurting anyone, yet he suffered a horrible death.
You're right he did look like he was minding his business like a normal person I didn't think he was a zombie though just someone who had too much to drink.
Savini does not appreciate his own work he dislikes the way he did this but I absolutely love it and remember watching it with my big bro in the theatre in October of ‘90 such a classic and scary at times 🧟♂️
Heard him say so much content- and not just gory material but dialogue and content - was removed or re written it wasn't the same film he envisioned. I would have at least liked to have the movie with directors content.
I would board up all the windows and sound proof the walls and I would wear protective gear with a bat with barbed wire to go into town for a supply run
Boarding up the windows is what caused their downfall. It's too noisy. Any noise they hear causes them to go toward it. Nah, what you need is a house that already has bars on the windows or something and to just stay quiet.
Everybody has a brave and plausible-sounding plan for surviving the Zombie Apocalypse UNTIL they are confronted by their first close combat with a zombie -- which would likely come by surprise, as here. At that point, people's reactions would be basically random. Some would freeze, some freeze while sh*tting their pants, and some try (uselessly) to reason/bargain with the attacker. Some would run wildly, some seek a hiding place like a child, and a few would actually fight...There is really no way to know. Even military or police training and experience is no guarantee of an effective response, due to the bizarre, otherworldly nature of the foe. Those laden with weapons, too, are probably just as likely to freeze, etc., as the unarmed. This is a straight Morale Check with no DRMs, where everybody -- regardless of age, gender, profession, or background -- has the same Base Morale, and it ain't super-high. Unless you have friends nearby to rescue you if you freeze or freak, the outcome of that throw could mean Game Over for you. After the first encounter, other factors would begin to come into play and your chances of coping effectively with the zombies would improve.
Right, so in the midst of a sudden plague of zombies you’re going to have the time and resources to not only board up all the windows but to soundproof the walls, find protective gear and barbed wire to put on a bat. Right.
RIP Tony Todd❤
Patricia Tallman is an underrated actress that should’ve gotten more lead roles in movies!
3:16 That crowbar looks like meat hook for a sec, foreshadows Tony
Todd's role as Candy Man two years later.
Coincidences
🤭
@@DMlTREl I THINK NOT!!!!!
In the 1968 original they carry off his character with meat hooks after they accidentally mistook him for a zombie. Brutal ending.
Tony Todd indeed legend rest in peace big man
My first zombie movie as a kid. Been in love ever since.
same here, really hated when the new zombie movie wave with fast zombies in 2000s came out, especially how they butchered Resident Evil movies
Best remake ever.
This is still a worthy remake of George A. Romero's film.
@rickking228
What do you think of the remake to Dawn of the Dead?

@@Johnlindsey289YES I'm glad I'm not the only one in thinking the remake is overrated. Actually I flat-out hate it. The original is fun!
in the beginning of the movie she was some wishy washy secretary type, and just 24 hours later she was zombie killing bad ass!!!
Complete reversal of original barbara
@@nickfoleie2074i always loved the element of the complete unknown in this and the original. Theres zero buildup at all to whats happening
"We're them and they're us!"
I remember when i first watching these movie with a girl i like as a happines kid. That memories never end.
Glad you got some great memories. Must’ve been cool too to see this in theaters back then.
8:48 GOD DAMN YOU! GOD DAMN ALL OF YOU!!! ...R.I.P that tony todd

Dude he was a zombie
Hilarious comment 🤣

Could be a drunk zombie?
@@milesjolly6173 he appeared lost for directions...
of course candyman having that crowbar was just mere coincidence

Slow walking zombies are easy to fend off, it’s the runner zombies that you don’t stand a chance against
Casting so much better in this one
Film very good 🎉
Patrica did great
2:54 it's Chris Whitty 😅

What about supplies?
What happens when the zombies overrun everyone?
You would have to venture out for food and be faced with millions of them
4:24. Very weird. Also 4:49. 4:48. 5:18
Candyman to the rescue.
Of course she leaves the door open wtf
Filmmakers always wanted to make women dumb
