How to Delay UA-cam TV's Price Increase for 6 Months! ua-cam.com/video/I--VKKGo6q0/v-deo.html If you want to send feedback to UA-cam TV, do it here: support.google.com/youtubetv/contact/yttv_price_update_feedback?sjid=7224576423586625647-NA
BTW, I tried cancelling the service and they’re now offering $72.99 for next 6 months, then $82.99 after that…essentially deferring the increase for 6 months. I’m not sure that’ll work for me because I might give Sling TV a shot. Adding Hollywood Extras to Sling’s Blue plan (for TCM) is still cheaper than YTTV.

As long as people keep paying these prices, then these companies will just continue to raise them. YTTV was worth $69.99, but this is a step too far for my family. We are canceling before the price increases. Let your voices be heard, people. We are the customers, and we need to take our money elsewhere.
Agreed. My new billing will go into effect by 12/26. I will be canceling before then. If viewers spend some time trying to figure out how much they actually use these live TV services. I think they’d be surprised at how infrequently they open up apps like UA-cam TV. Especially if they’re not sports fans like me.
I completely agree I wash a handful of their content. The sad thing is that there isn't much of a difference between the major providers that'll listed
Not if you just go antenna and get a couple of on demand services at year end when they offer deals for a year. Next year sign up with a new password and you can do it again.
The best “hack”, digital antenna for live tv, and trial memberships. Cancel then right after and they always offer another discount. For ex: Hulu, I was paying $1.99 for a year. Than on month 12 I started the cancellation process and they offered it for $3.99 for 6 months. You best believe I’ll cancel in six months. This time for real. Since they offered .99 during Thanksgiving weekend, I couldn’t get that deal. Did the same with Ube one. Trial was free for 4 months. Then cancelled, they offered me .99 for three months . And so on. Just be organized. Use the good old pen and paper to jot down when to cancel. Google has gotten really good at sending you directly where to cancel a membership. I also only pay with a prepaid credit card. So when renewal comes if gets declined and I decide what to keep.
Michael as always thank you for keeping us informed. We were late bloomers to cord cutting, but when we finally did it, we went with YTTV in 2022 when it was $64.99, then last year before they hiked up the price to $72.99 we dropped it. This is why I don't have a problem with the FTC going after/breaking up these companies. They are acquiring so much wealth and power usually making them the only dominant player in the space, which stifles competition and leads to these constant price hikes. It needs to stop.
I just read an article from Newsweek apparently tons of people are canceling now. Everyone's different, some are sick of corporate greed others are willing to bend over.
YTTV is still missing four channels that my wife likes that were also not there when cutting the cord back in March 2023 (History, Science, AXS TV, Reelz). Subscribing to Philo, along with their $3/mo addon for Movies & More, gets those missing channels for $31/mo, but then the combined cost would be $114/mo.
I like the timing of right before the Super Bowl so they can do their quick money grab before everyone cancels. I was going to cancel anyway but now they've just confirmed that for me.
They paid a ton for the Sunday ticket and I bet they didn't have as many people sign up as they projected. Now they have to get that money from the rest of their customers. I'm done with them. I'll go to spectrum or sling
Still not Comcast or Spectrum, who lied and cheated for a decade with lousy service to boot. For now, will keep UA-camTV but disappointed the way Google handled it.
The real problem are the media companies raising prices ---- from Disney to Major networks who pay billions to broadcast sporting events like NFL games and also the rising cost to cover College Football games that have become increasingly big and popular the past number of years.. It's getting outrageous the massive money the Networks are paying for the exclusive rights to cover say NFL games. Then add in MLB, big Golf Championship tournaments, etc.
I'm paying for Premium channels and 4K Plus... a 10 dollar increase in price for Base Plan isn't going to break me. I remember 200 dollar plus Cable bills... I am perfectly happy with my current service.
I am switching to HULU just to spite UA-cam even tho it's same price. Where does it end, this is a 14% increase, nothing has gone up 14% for anyone! They raised by same percentage just 18 months ago. This is outrageous!!
I haven’t needed a live TV service in months and I did like UA-cam TV’s service. With the price increase makes me wonder if I should get it back again.
** Sling Blue for $45 /mo fits my needs as a casual TV viewer ** It comes with 3 major network channels: ABC, NBC, FOX -- News Channels: MSNBC, CNN, HLN, FOX News --- Sports: FOX Sports, NFL Network ---- Business News: Bloomberg --- Handful of Entertainment Channels such as: USA, TLC, A&E, Lifetime, History, National Geographic, TNT, TBS, HGTV, E!, FX, etc. As a casual TV viewer who sometimes/occasionally watches some Sports --- this meets my needs at a reasonable price.
Done. Fortunately my billing cycle will allow one more month at the existing price, so that'll get me through the college football playoffs. I'll have to watch the end of NFL playoffs via some other method (too far from city that has our local TV for most antennas)
@@smark1180 EXACTLY my friend! Even with the increase, still saving $60-70 over Spectrum/Charter. Better channel selection/choice too. As I said in my separate post, it's all relative.
Google is reacting to the PROVIDERS jacking up their costs. I refuse to watch a 60 minute program that has 20 minutes of commercials. Why should I pay to watch that?
I hate the piecemeal way the NFL games are broadcasted ---- primetime games are broadcasted all over the place and is frustrating for the viewers. EXAMPLE --- Sunday Night games are exclusively covered by NBC/Peacock, Monday Night Games goes to ESPN --- then Thursday Night Football goes to Amazon Prime. Those days are gone where I grew up as a kid watching Boxing for free on the major networks - Sugar Ray, Marvelous Marvin Hagler, Cesar Chavez, Mike Tyson and many more.
I canceled mine as soon as I saw the email. They’re going to keep increasing it because people keep paying it. We need to band together and cancel our memberships!
Yes, you were, and I appreciate how you ALWAYS give us information and work to verify everything! I want them to go to Philo and add the channels they're missing!
Since we have Hulu with Disney and we get a $ 20 credit from American Express platinum for streaming we decided to cancel UA-cam TV and upgrade to Hulu live. With the credit and the removal of UA-cam TV we ended up with an over $20 a month savings. Don’t know why I didn’t do this earlier
I did some research and for now will keep UA-cam TV. Other streaming services such as Direct Tv have an additional 15 dollar fee add to the cost, bringing the price to over 100 dolars for the channels I like. I glad UA-cam has unlimited DVR. A lot of the other services have channels I never watch. I wish UA-cam offered a package with less channels for a lower price.
That is a whopping 13.7% price increase!! And that comes after a previous 12% price increase (from $64.99 to $72.99). One would expect those kinds of price increases from a U.S. health insurer not a streaming service provider.
The cable & local networks shouldn't be able to increase retransmission fees to these services as high as they do. It's created a situation where we all get the price passed on to us unfairly.
UA-cam tv is still the top lots of channels and on demand is great but I would like to see some improvements on the DVR like starting a show early and extending the end time longer if possible
I watch your videos to keep informed about all the TV options out there. I still have cable TV and don't plan to switch as I don't see any savings at all with these streaming services.
Good thing I don't really watch TV or streaming anymore and I'm not paying for UA-cam. If subscription becomes mandatory on UA-cam I guess I'm pretty much done with all social media too lol.
With Hulu + Live TV costing the same amount and including more live and on-demand content (Disney+ and ESPN+), what does UA-cam TV have to gain from this price hike? And what's in it for existing subscribers who don't jump ship?
I cut live tv years and years ago. I only buy subs when on sale and rotate. I have amc+ max cinemax starz mgm prime hulu and pay lile under 20 a month for all. As the sales expire I will just rotate in one and or netflix. For netflix I get lowest cost then convert to middle plan with ads and it prorates the already $7 paid into roughly 2 weeks. Then cancel and reup months later same way for 2 weeks for $7. Internet is 49 a month for 1gb. Days of spending 200+ a month for woke tv are far done. 75 a month is my cap and I have rang near everything
I've been looking at recording antenna options and switching to SLING, but there are a few sports channels that I would lose doing that. So, until there's a better option, I'll be keeping YTT. It's still cheaper than Direct or Dish
I’m as frugal as they come. I don’t agree with the price hike and short notice, but still better deal than what’s on the market. One huge perk is 3 viewing accts and can watch while away like travel or staying somewhere short term. I just hope they don’t start charging for regular UA-cam. Then fetch the pitch forks and torches…
At this moment, for me it's all relative. I recently dropped Spectrum Cable, and subscribed to YTTV, for $20 off for 4 months. Even with increase and when $20 intro gone, I'll still be saving ~$70 month over cable. And better channel selection/choice. I like the local channels with YTTV. I suppose I could look at getting an indoor antenna, and a cheaper service like Sling. Maybe down the road. I'd really like to dump Spectrum internet too ($83), but currently only other high speed option is T Mobil 5G. If it's any good I could save another $30-$40. In case it's not clear, I hate Spectrum/Charter. Thanks for the update.
Should do a price comparison between YTTV and the similar cable and satellite packages. Aside from that, you’d have no equipment rental fees using YTTV.
I've done this in the past. I don't expect cable to be a better option for people. That said, we really need some more flexible bundles to emerge in 2025. $80 to $85 a month is too high for many millions of people.
I originally signed up for UA-camTV when it first came out for $34.99. Little did I know that the price for Internet service through COX was $130-140. What is the best option to watch sports and NOT pay an ARM & LEG? I'll be dropping UA-cam TV by the time of next increase.
Cable TV, and to some extent satellite TV, was an automatic cash cow for the pro sports leagues and the local channels. The more that people cancel cable, the more those content providers will just raise their rates to both cable and the live TV streaming services. The drumbeat for the death of cable may kill off more than just cable.
Netflix, Disney, they did it and it works! We’re too savvy though. Cancel is my middle name! lol . I’ll go back to the library and rent DVD before I waste anymore money 😊
I can get all my local channels over the air; however, the video quality is only being broadcast in 720i or 1080i which makes watching some sporting events unwatchable to me as my eye picks up that flicker or the interlacing when the screen is refreshing and panning. That was the reason I was using UA-cam TV. If my locals were broadcast in 720p or 1080p I would definitely stop using it all together.
I'll usually go with SlingTV if they give me a deal, which is usually $20 for one month. I just canceled that though. I just don't watch enough to justify basically only paying for ESPN and TNT at now $45.99 for Sling.
When I canceled yesterday they offered the old price for six months but I declined. I only need a service for Fall football and I can get that for four months with Sling Orange. On demand w/o ads is the way I’m going from now on. Bye bye YTTV. It was good knowing you……well not really. 😅
I have just canceled UA-cam TV. Michael when you have time would you do a show on who you recommend for someone who doesn't care about sports other than golf and local TV channels and I like the DVR aspect I'm going to search around but I may just go with an antenna and not bother with anything else thanks appreciate your info on time
I tried UA-cam TV. I didn't care for it. I no longer need to pay for Live TV services thanks to an outdoor atenna and Tablo device. Live streaming service will continue rise on the price, as long people pay for it.
UA-cam blatantly denying the price hike and announcing it in the same week is crazy. They really should include the 4k addon, HBO, or NFL RedZone at this point
LOL I don't care what they would add. It is not worth the price. I canceled today. It's ridiculous. Another multi billion dollar company taking advantage of their customers no thank. I have switched to Tablo for recording my local channels and love it. I also have three or four apps that I pay each month: Peacock plus, Paramount plus, Starz, Discovery Plus and Netflix. it's a heck of a lot cheaper than UA-cam TV! Never again.
what's the point of 4K when the NFL games and espn are only in 720 and that will never change. And a poor 720 at that. Maybe you'll get 4K in one of those earth channels
Question: If I cancel and am able to re-subscribe at the current $72.99 rate, will all the shows & movies that I have stored on UA-cam Tv's server go away? which means I will have to add them back when I re-subscribe? Just curious about this. Thanks for any information you can provide, and for letting us know about the work- around.
I am not happy that people’s bills are going up. There is some satisfaction in being “right” given the pushback from UA-cam TV over the weekend. I’m still hoping for leaner bundle options in the coming year or two.
UA-cam TV cut a deal with newsmax to offer newsmax to UA-cam TV viewers who knows how much they paid newsmax!! So we are paying for that one added content!!
They are cracking down on password sharing. If you don't pay, you get cutoff now. I'm sure your brother is still getting service, ask him. Happy Holidays everyone!

I've done this in the past. I don't expect cable to be a better option for people. That said, we really need some more flexible bundles to emerge in 2025. $80 to $85 a month is too high for many millions of people.
@@MichaelSaves In my long recently ended long experience with Spectrum cable, you are correct.
I originally signed up for UA-camTV when it first came out for $34.99. Little did I know that the price for Internet service through COX was $130-140. What is the best option to watch sports and NOT pay an ARM & LEG? I'll be dropping UA-cam TV by the time of next increase.
I tried to do the cancellation and save $10, but didn’t work for me . Oh well I’m keeping yttv. It fits my budget
Content creators example NFL and Local Stations drive up pricing of tv. The price of tv is not going to go down.
I called this years ago. Let you in cheap then gradually increase.
Netflix, Disney, they did it and it works! We’re too savvy though. Cancel is my middle name! lol . I’ll go back to the library and rent DVD before I waste anymore money 😊
I'm definitely dropping the service! I'm going to switch to Sling to watch most of the sporting events that I watch.
Sounds like upgrading to a TV with progressive scanning could be helpful.
Thanks for leaving the link to give feedback. I complained!!!
I have the NFL Sunday ticket so I’ll cancel my subscription once the NFL season is over.
These streaming services are approaching cable prices. The hikes are higher than the rate of inflation, which is ludicrous.
Cancelled. I may either go sling tv or just sign up for services i need individually
I’ve been on the fence about cutting Comcast and getting YTTV over Sling TV. Now I don’t know what to think or do. 😖
I'll usually go with SlingTV if they give me a deal, which is usually $20 for one month. I just canceled that though. I just don't watch enough to justify basically only paying for ESPN and TNT at now $45.99 for Sling.
Go for a walk. Get some fresh air.
They could have at least added ANOTHER channel of Law and Order 24/7. 😜
Cable is nothing but re-runs....Stop paying for it!
So many re-runs! But it's live sports, cable news and locals that many people are hooked on.
When I canceled yesterday they offered the old price for six months but I declined. I only need a service for Fall football and I can get that for four months with Sling Orange. On demand w/o ads is the way I’m going from now on. Bye bye YTTV. It was good knowing you……well not really. 😅
Left us no choice- but to cancel. I’ll have to try something else to save a little. I wish antennas worked in our area and it would be a no brainer
This is what happens when actors and writers go on strike. I will keep UA-cam TV, I am splitting the cost with a friend.
Way to go!
Cancel for sure
UA-cam blatantly denying the price hike and announcing it in the same week is crazy. They really should include the 4k addon, HBO, or NFL RedZone at this point
Would really like to see 4K added to the base plan
4K should be added, it’s not like they have an abundance of 4K channels
LOL I don't care what they would add. It is not worth the price. I canceled today. It's ridiculous. Another multi billion dollar company taking advantage of their customers no thank. I have switched to Tablo for recording my local channels and love it. I also have three or four apps that I pay each month: Peacock plus, Paramount plus, Starz, Discovery Plus and Netflix. it's a heck of a lot cheaper than UA-cam TV! Never again.
Fubo has nfl redzone
what's the point of 4K when the NFL games and espn are only in 720 and that will never change.
Well deserved bows, Michael. You have become the most reliable UA-camr when it comes to these tech updates.👍🏼👍🏼👍🏼👏🏼👏🏼👏🏼👏🏼
Michael is some sort of wizard. He knows all. He's never been wrong. Ever. I put all my faith in Michael.
Did anyone figure the percentage of this increase? I calculated it is almost 14 percent.
I plan on keeping them its still cheaper then cable tv and you get more to watch then cable.
😂😂😂. Keep paying that overpriced crap
I both love and hate that you were right. Being the bearer of bad news is a mixed bag.
I am not happy that people’s bills are going up. There is some satisfaction in being “right” given the pushback from UA-cam TV over the weekend. I’m still hoping for leaner bundle options in the coming year or two.
Hate is such a strong word.
The price hike was due to all the money spent on the NFL league pass deal.
So glad I canceled UA-cam TV this past march!!
UA-cam TV cut a deal with newsmax to offer newsmax to UA-cam TV viewers who knows how much they paid newsmax!! So we are paying for that one added content!!
Absolutely insane, people need to vote with their wallet.
Still cheaper than Spectrum
Does anyone know good "Alternatives" to UA-cam TV?
I have you covered here: michaelsaves.com/streaming/best-live-tv-streaming/
I guess I'll kept it...ugh.
UA-cam TV will have no choice but to come out with packages just not worth the price anymore
For me they can go in bankruptcy. I will Withrow
Yup. Just got my email notice. Bye, bye YTTV!
I plan to cancel mine.I don't watch it that often anyway.
Going to cancel my sub. Honestly with just the major subscriptions i doubt we will miss it.
What type of bread do you get when you order your sub?
Bye UA-cam tv
Ugh two prices since I had it but that know they are the best live streaming choice...
I'm so mad.
Hi, it’s not letting me use my brother’s Hulu or Max or Netflix anymore. I don’t know what’s going on.
They are cracking down on password sharing. If you don't pay, you get cutoff now. I'm sure your brother is still getting service, ask him.
Happy Holidays everyone!
