I was mind blowed , but then i heard the loud turbo whistle and i felt understood what car it really was

The 335D has great performance, reliability and still has great fuel economy considering what you can do.

Every modern diesel engine has decent power, but emissions ( especially in Europe) are absolutely bad for the typical diesel components ( high pressure fuel pump, injectors , turbo ) .. so when DPF and EGR are deleted, the engine can unleash his true power , is more reliable and consumes less fuel , than before. Oh i forgot that Adblue stuff for Euro 6 Diesel cars in Europe... without this liquid , your car cant start and it can´t drive..electronics stops it to work. That´s why I would personally prefer a Euro 4/Euro 5 diesel. .like BMW or Audi 3.0 TDI .. especialy M57 or the Audi Diesel engine with 239 hp . EGR and DPF off , ECU update to delete messages from the ECU (like dpf cleaning, egr etc..) .. some decent ECU tuning and it´s the most balanced diesel car ever.
please. dont. it's power off the line. and in a maths curve (btw the abrams turbine got less tourque than my car...)... you'll still see why mankind does that move... ^^

Mine is at 227k driven hard and put away wet, 4-5 gear slips when Wide open throttle, so I let off for that gear shift. Other than that, 2-1 downshift is abit jolty, but handles the power great otherwise! 700NM
Tbh, I doubt this car has average consumption of 8l/100 km. It has very good extra urban fuel consumption, but city fuel consumption is hopeless, regardless the car, but especially a car with over 400 hp.

No. Torque is what gets you going through the slow to mid range speeds 0-120 ish, then horsepower takes over for the pure top speed. Torque is almost irrelevant at that point
Can someone give me an answer on wether to do spring valves? I have the M57N2 engine with hybrids, intercooler, R90 pump etc but mine smokes at higher rpm or full load. No leaks or things. Technical it is perfect but I heard the smoking on high loads or higher rpm can be made less when you do valve springs.

Was the gearbox still original with 250k kilometers? I have a tuned 330d with 216k km and was wondering how long it would last with good maintenance.
With good maintenance it should last forever, i.e. over 1.000.000 km.
