I understand a lot of people find this weird, but understand that if it helps someone, then that’s perfectly okay. She appears to be very fulfilled by it, and that itself is a wonderful thing. Seniors deserve companions. We shouldn’t judge their ways of coping with it.

You must still be young and healthy to say this. Older folks are often not physically able to care for pets… nor is it fair to get a pet who will probably outlive you.

@@lynnmckenna9934 That’s your perception of a person that is over 65. Which is FALSE! I know quite a few people that’s well in their 70s & 80s, they can workout, such as aquatic or physical therapy & drive cars. What happened to staying in contact with your closest friends, what happened to going to community centers and building relationships with others. I truly thought that it was the new age children that’s growing up with the internet & computers that would be more into AI and technology but I see that I’m wrong. LOL Now I know that this has NOTHING to do with age. It has A LOT to do with LACK OF KNOWLEDGE & AWARENESS. Please don’t take what I’m saying offensive. I mean no disrespect to you. I send you much LOVE, UNDERSTANDING, & COMPASSION.

@@c.s.9999 Not everyone is this lucky. Have you spoken to an older someone who has lost all of their friends because they died? Have you talked to an older someone who is dealing with immobilizing chronic health issues and constant physical pain? You are holding an idealized image of things. Community centers and staying in touch with friends! Yes, luckily, many older folks can still get around- still have some friends that are alive- and have younger family members who could care for their pets after they outlive them or while they are recovering from surgeries….But, that is not the truth for many many many people. Until society completely changes- until medical science works miracles, then AI might be a kind way to provide engaging activities for people.
