To make things a LITTLE easier for you, WHENEVER you see Angelina and Ivan Mendez perform together, Angelina was ALWAYS 12 years old. Never 11, never 13. And they did quite a few together, so I'm sure you'll react to more. They are among her best ones IMO. Love from Norway♥♥♥♥♥
With Angelina , you don't hear the song, you FEEL the song.
Every video you see with Ivan Mendez backing Angelina with acoustic guitar, she is 12 yo. All of their collaborations are unrehearsed, "off the cuff" jams with usually only 1 take. That's why you see his "stankface" throughout, because he is hearing it for the 1st time, just like you. He said the hardest part about playing for Angelina is maintaining his concentration because he is so blown away by her vocals. I much prefer this informal version over the highly produced original by Rihanna.
Basically Angelina is a 7th grade student at the time of this amazing piece of art.
Imagine how crazy that is. Her skills are truly miraculous. Just four years prior Angelina stated,”when I grow up i want to be a super star.” In my mind she already has crossed that threshold at 12.😊
To me this is one of her greatest performances ever. Impeccable.
You not only hear every word but you feel every word.
The crazy part is she almost always does these in 1 take.

Already a world class vocalist at twelve. When singing with this guitarist, Ivan Mendez, Angelina is always twelve years old. Based on Ivan's interview with Alan Papier, this is probably the first time she has sung this song. She is looking to her left and reading the lyrics as she interprets the song on the fly, and Ivan masterfully follows her tempo.

This is one of her finest performances. Reading the lyrics off her phone and never misses a beat. Rihanna is great but Angelina's version is just on a whole other level.
In an interview with Alan Papier - in YT - guitarist Ivan Mendez talked about this and said Anglina's final "stays" were the most beautiful thing he has ever heard.

Debbie, what is so phenomenal is that Angelina and Dimash, vocals aside, are both of the same ilk, humble, kind, caring and loving human beings who absolutely adore children. I believe one day they will join hand in hand on a stage to express their feelings to a worldwide audience that LOVE IS THE ANSWER and that with love in their hearts people should believe there is HOPE for humanity to survive. In a interview with Alan Papier, on his channel, Ivan told the world that most videos were of the first take and without any practice. Angelina would ask him, do you know this song? If he did, then start the video camera and lets do it.

Angelina has the most incredible beautiful unique silvery vibrato like no other, she had this from a 7 year old, normally young girls do not have a vibrato until they are older and sometimes never achieve having a vibrato!Angelina technically ability is phenomenal!

The first song I ever heard from Angelina was A Million Years Ago by Adele in this very setting. That is what hooked me. This performance which her first take, she just sat down with Ivan and said lets do this song, this one truly show cases the vocal abilities she possess. like you said Anglina can take a two letter word and sing it with so many colors it turns into as a symphony movement. I watched a video "Interview" with Ivan Mendez on his take playing for ANGELina... He said he was just mesmerized by her vocals, that he had a hard time staying focused playing guitar for her & it was usually completed in only 1 take. He really admired her, during those days he played for her.

I am in my seventies and i feel the same way you do every time i hear her voice, even if i have heard the song 20 times or more. She has this ability to captivate not just your mind, but you whole body. She is outstanding, truly one of a kind. She has over 200 songs and not one of them is bad. Elvis had a lot of good songs but for every good one he had he had ten that were not very good at all.

Hi Deb, She was twelve here. She performed a couple songs here with the red flannel shirt on. Her other song is my alltime favorite of hers, Adeles million years ago. They have a video out there with Rhianna and angelina back to back performing this song. Angelinas version is better of course. She had a better voice than Rhianna and didnt have to take her clothes off and slip into a hot tub to perform the song. AJ just sat there in her flannel shirt like a little lumberjack and performed the most beautiful song I have ever heard . Great reaction DEb. Check out million years ago when ya get a chance. If you think she sounds good through those EarPods, you owe it to yourself to listen to her music with earphones. You will hear little nuances in her voice the EarPods don’t pick up. I’m so glad you’re back, as I said on your first video upon your return, you were dearly missed. I have Stage IV Cancer and Angelina makes my days a lot easier, as her vocals are so soothing to my soul.
