My sister did a Viking cruise a few years back and loved it! She loved how the crew knew her by name when she came back onboard after an outing. We let her take our Beeker plush and I made him a tshirt......umm, she lost him in an Irish bar in Switzerland. Did she get harassed when she came home? You bet!

Hi Josh and Taylor - Just ran into your channel and watched all of the videos of your Christmas River Cruise on the Rhine. We just booked a Christmas cruise for the end of 2025 (in celebration of my early retirement) from Amsterdam to Basil on Viking. Can't wait.
You should look into taking the Danube river cruise between Prague and Budapest, which we did a couple of summers ago. I think that would be something you'd enjoy. We especially loved going up and down the Danube in Budapest at night, with all the buildings on both side lit up.

Thanks for sharing Taylor and Josh, i did watch some of your river cruise on the rhine. Didn't know you left out of Basel, Switz. Very cool, I have been there, have an Aunt In Mulhouse france not far from there up the river a bit, and was born not far from there, Dad was in USAF back then.

We are taking an AmaWaterways Christmas Market cruise this December and can't wait. We have done the big European Christmas markets by land on a Rick Steve's tour in 2017 and loved it.

Also, does the river cruise company provide free transport to the ship even if we arrange our own flights? Maybe that depends on the riverboat company.

Yes they do! We arranged our own flights and they still pick you up! Airport, bus station, train station, hotel!
