I lost a washer on my shimano reel and last time i tried to use the spool gets caught on the way down. If i stick a couple replacent washers where those went it should work again right?

He uses 3 in 1 oil but says alot of people like the hot sauce oil your choice WD-40 for cleaning White Lithium Grease With Dry Graphite Remember grease goes on gears and oil on bearings but the worm gear line guide gets oil even though its called a gear..... I have the same problem with mine BUT on mine, the plastic piece that the screw goes into broke off. Unfortunately for that you cannot replace.. have to buy a new reel! SMH!

Shakespeare Synergy steel spin cast reel.......I have found the issue and it is that the guy who had it before me took it apart to clean it without knowing what he was doing obviously did not do a very good job I might add and put the anti reverse on backwards/for a left hand retrieval instead of what it is........a right handed retrieval and also screwed up the drag button and gearing as well........so basically............he screwed it up
it is a Shakespeare Trynlogy and this is what it's doing when you put the line on the right way with the anti reverse on it won't reel in and twistes up the line............ when you put it on backwards with the anti reverse off it will reel in but won't release the line.............this will sound like a stupid question but when you fish is the eyelets on the pole supposed to be facing up or down?or does it matter?
Down but it does not matter as many people use to hold them upside down until to reel backwards right handed before you could easily change handle sides for left or right handed.........
If completely stuck was it used in salt water? That can freeze one up if so take apart and soak in WD-40. Either way you will need to take it apart to see what is going on start with removing the spool make sure you just dont have line underneath wrapped underneath the spool that will prevent it from turning also.
