  • We are comparing two bows - the Elite Rezult and the Elite Envision, shooting them at different distances and environments. In this video, we are shooting the Elite Envision at 50m. In the next, we will do the Rezult at 50m.

    I love the constant chatter. You really describe what's going on in a relatable way to the actions we can clearly see. I'm a massive fan of watching. Please keep us updated with all you do! 🙌

    The last end you can tell your 1st shot was perfect A lot of people don't realize when that shoulder is creeping up that your shot is gonna be super weak and usually you either pull out the top or drop out the bottom because you're trying the bottom because it's not bone on bone contact You're actually trying to use muscle to hold the bow up

    I'm a mathews guy, but I won a fully setup elite envision from lancaster archery at their steel challenge. I've been shooting the envision alot while waiting on strings for my v3x, and I've been really impressed with how good it holds and shoots. Even out to 120 yards it's shooting 3-4 inch groups. Great bow for sure and very adjustable.

    Thank you Steven l love watching other people shoot being that I don't have an archery club around me, plus it was nice seeing that arrows don't always slap into tight groups. Thanks for the video 🏹🤠👍

    Hey Steven while i was watching this video i noticed that you change your release hand when you're aiming .... some times your thumb is on your neck and some times it's just floating close to the peg, so you're changing your pressure hence different firing of the arrow .... Great video love it ..

    I number my arrows and keep a notebook on top of my target and I write the arrow number down that is not where the rest are. I shoot them all ten times and at the end I look to see what arrows are always not consistent with the rest. I usually pull that arrow and try putting a new nock in a different position and put new vanes in a different location. I try the arrow again. Sometimes it works and sometimes it doesn’t. Have you ever heard of this or am I just fooling myself?

    • @ArcherySuppliesLonsdale
      @ArcherySuppliesLonsdale  2 роки тому +1

      Yes! some arrows have different grains, although very slight, at longer distances, this would have a great effect - shown in the new Rezult video. the nock could also be a point of failure

    Did you check the peep height for the 50 ? I usually have endless trouble with peep/anchor going outdoor with 90m (not usually too bad closer for me, but anchor gets very loose at 90 with short distance peep). Have been blinded by my hoyt limb pockets on a couple of occasions, after which I covered them in electrical tape and didn't have that problem any more ! Other new and interesting problems after that

    • @ArcherySuppliesLonsdale
      @ArcherySuppliesLonsdale  2 роки тому

      The peep hight was adjusted very roughly, about 6" above the d-loop. My anchor point was shifting very slightly due to the wind pushing my bow - which made a huge effect on my aim.

  • @josephtreadlightly5686

    If u had binocs u could have adjusted your sight but it might not have mattered if your shoulder wasn't in the right position upon release. I like shooting longer distances to build confidence. But when it doesn't build that the fun is always sucked right out of it.

    • @ArcherySuppliesLonsdale
      @ArcherySuppliesLonsdale  2 роки тому

      Unfortunately, I didn't have one prepared, and to keep the fairness of the test, I will be shooting the Rezult without one as well.

    If you want to understand arrow wind drift effect at longer distances like 50 meters 70 meters? Shoot from inside a building a few feet on days with different winds speeds. Breaking great shots will show you. Arrow diameter makes a huge difference in drift. A 30 mph wind can move 23 shafts like 2 1/2 to 3”.

  • @shredfreak83

    how much does stabilizer lenght affect you actually? I'm usually shooting outdoors so i went for a 28" one, wouldn't mind 26 with tungsten weights though.

    • @ArcherySuppliesLonsdale
      @ArcherySuppliesLonsdale  2 роки тому

      The longer the stabilizer, the more steady your bow becomes - up to a certain point. There is a great article talking about this: limbsaver.com/pages/does-size-matter

      @@ArcherySuppliesLonsdale i get that, i should've made the question more clear. You think something like a windbar is worth the investment or not? Assuming one can actually hold up the weight that is.

      For competition rounds you are mostly correct.
      Indoor will be 2x 30 arrows, 10 ends a round
      50m round is 2x36 arrows, 12 ends a round

      No, the peep sight is the ring which you align the bowstring with the sight, you create a scope through it. It is not a part of the release aid.

  • @timbow50
    @timbow50 2 роки тому

    I hate shooting on uneven footing in competition. I practice on level concrete. Shooting for score is mentally taxing compared to just shooting at home. I get so damn frustrated as my scores fall way off at competition because I am so worried about making a high score. Like it matters really??? It’s a fricking hobby? for me. It’s about staying in shooting shape for hunting 99%. My mindset when shooting at animals is totally different than 3-d shooting. I am very selective on live animal shots and very very seldom make a poor hit. Mind games!,,,

    I find myself watching these videos over just to learn from everybody let's see what people say John Dudley is a beast I mean He's done the whole thing the hope of fashion Archer or else he wouldn't have been on void's pro staff for like 20 years and now you wouldn't Be on PSE staff either either it be one thing if he was just a influencer that they gave him some bows and sponsor him but like hes giving them ideals on bows and how to build them Like they're sending him prototypes to test and I know they got the Stage where they send all the professional archers archers the bow it's called the proving ground just to get some input input but it's a little bit different with Dudley because libecause like hes telling them how to build the boat not just giving them ideals I mean you really can't read is it re record shooting at animal and I've watched him reach out and touch them at very far distance on videos Now I'm not saying that he couldn't have done a couple of takes cause you're right people don't shoot perfect every time but I have watched his older videos of him shooting live like doing lives dude Can absolutely pound

    Need to loosen the d-loop when facing windy situations. Make sure she is snug and loose! get softer d-loop material also. Better results all in all imo! the past parallel is NOT helping you in the wind, those long bars either imo! i only shoot in a very windy field outside. it's all i have! :)

    Damn bloody wind!!! So very difficult to have a solid hold. I practice to 60 yards in mild winds with a hot thumb button just for spot/ stalk deer and wild hog hunting. Many days it’s hard to hit a 8” paper dinner plate which is IMO NOT A KILL ZONE DIAMETER!

    I've using full target setup on my Ember and Stinger before & entering countless local 50m tournament. No problem at all. Score and grouping also not bad. Why i doing that?
    1. target compound super expensive, shorter ATA cheaper here
    2. can use hunting, 3d & target. Why must buy 3 bow for each type? Wasting money
    3. most shorter ATA is insanely adjustable. I can pass to my kids
    Some archer with long & expensive bow (mostly) are racist and laugh at us using puny bow. I ask them back "I can shoot well with it, is there a problem here?"

    • @jamesshepherd7727
      @jamesshepherd7727 2 роки тому

      I dont think your word racist is the proper for what your describing. Ive not seen too many archers that would thumb their nose at anybody for their equipment. If its been directed at you before im sorry someone did that. Its dumb. As ling as you like what your using and have fun keep doing what your doing. When you want to get to the next level equipment does factor in. It will never replace skill and proper form. I could beat most with a Bear whitetail bow with the metal wheels and cables. I couldn’t be competitive at a National match with it. But it would be fun. Keep shooting the short ata bow if it works for you and dont listen to anybody that tries to put you down for it. Just go beat them and they will shut up.
