Architect Victoria Peyton looks out from the window of her new home office towards her neighbor’s house, and is shocked to see the word ‘Help’ written on the basement window. Rushing over to investigate, she meets Fritz Allen, a lovable grandpa type, who seems to be hiding something under his crocodile smile. When she looks again, the word ‘Help’ is no longer there. It was very sad and hard for me to watch. I was locked in a cellar when I was 11 years old. It's hard to talk about. I had no food and only drank a bit of water. It was Dark and I was so scared but more lonely and numb. This was adopted parents that did this too me. When I saw the Light of day again I remember the police saying stuff and being kind to me . But I couldn't speak . Although it brough back some traumatic memories I thought it was a good movie, Thanks for the upload

The investigator states that he is not at liberty to say who made the complaint, but yet immediately after leaving the old man's house, he walks directly over to the complainant's house. Lol priceless.

That's because nobody opens their mouth. If something looks strange, check it out with the police. Remember the 3 girls kept in Cleveland? None of the neighbors spoke up. . . they would see the girls leave with the creep, but never saw them in the yard.
It really isn't that common. It takes a lot of effort and expense to confine a human being in a space like that for any amount of time. It's also far easier to trace people than it was in the past.

This is one surprisingly excellent movie. Very believable acting, very logical writing (OK a few glitches but its low budget), great directing, no overpowering music to try to play up everything....just consistently good. Wonderful to see quality on a low budget. It gives hope to new filmmakers.

She was a bit bitchy and whiny at the beginning but I liked her courage and the fact she never gave up.

A good movie. But I’m really disappointed in her husband, he never once apologized for almost leaving her and thinking she was losing it big time. I hope she felt validated when everything she described turned out to be true. Thanks for sharing this movie.

When I see all these comments it seems to me like a therapy session where everyone who has seen the film throws out their fears, hopes or expectations. But people need to be aware that these are just emotions that are provoked by a certain vision of how much injustice there is and those who close their eyes when they see it.. Films like this take a lot of pain, suffering and fear out of people because they rely only on the perception of the senses that is limited only to the material world.. Many have forgotten to fantasize, and yet it is enough to stop whole inner monologue in one second.. willingly with a lot of carefreeness how precise and clear the attention is.. The movie had several scenes that had me cringing the old guy was so creepy he really played his part well
U can watch long kiss good night starring geena Davis of telma and Louis fame and samuel L Jackson must watch action movie. Old movie got released in probably 1996 . Definitely u will love the movie. Narrow margin starring gene hack men ultimate suspense movie. He got ocsar for best actor for French Connection movie. He acted in. Great movie but heartbreaking!💔 So I guess it's okay for the creepy neighbor guy to "trespass/break into" his neighbor's house & commit "assault & battery" yet he calls the cops and puts a restraining order on his neighbor for " assault & trespassing & breaking into HIS HOUSE"!!! 😱 Narcissists have so many DOUBLE STANDARDS!!!! For those who thought the daughter looked too old, I looked up the actors' ages. At time of filming: 'Mother' = 37 yrs 'Daughter' = 26 yrs. So in movie-logic Mom was 11 yrs old when she had her daughter...
Women stop ageing in US movies and men don't. So this makes perfect sense.
My friend' mother was 11 when she had her n my friend n i were 13 and the mom 24. She was young and beautiful she divorced her husband and remarried after her daughter's left school and became a nurse. I guess because her 1st husband was rich and it was the country he wasn't imprisoned 🤦🏽♀️ I've heard the old ppl say if a man is imprisoned after getting a girl pregnant who's gonna take care of the baby. 🤦🏽♀️ madness I tell you madness

I liked the movie. It´s not the best thriller I´ve ever seen, but the actors are pretty good, the story makes sense and goes forward pretty well, and Emma Caulfield is incredibly beautiful.
