Well my hats off to you that took a lot of skill to make that that’s a slick set up. Does that apron chain go any faster cause that’s a pretty slow feed rate that Baylor sure can make a lot of hair faster than that? Also curious why those plunger rollers would go bad that’s a pretty damn new Baylor to have that happen my first in line I had it for 12 years never had a bearing go bad my second in line I’ve had for 15 years and last year I replaced two I put all new rollers on it when I have the plunger out
It doesn't for now but I can always change the gear reduction later. I didn't want to push it at first because there are basically no stats out there on how much electric hp the Massey 1840 would take. I'm running into the same problem with the bale band it. I want to run it electrically but don't know how big of motor to put on it
We just went at it with a torch, removed the top, the front hitch area, welded the hitch to the rear and added a hydraulic motor to drive the floor chain
You need to switch to hydraulic motors on your conveyors. Then you can speed up or slow down, depending on the hay.
Pretty slick set up
Thanks it still needs a few thing but it's getting three
How does the massey perform feeding it hay like that?
What kind of hp motor did you need for running the baler?

Any other mods u did to the stacker? I want to do the same thing to unroll bales into my silage chopper for ground hay.
