Nice Jacky! It's great to see it in action again. You guys did one heck of a good job on that project. It's probably on of the coolest youtube farming projects on the internet!
Thanks for watching. Welcome to our small family farm. We drop videos Tuesday and Thursday. We do a live hangout every Sunday night. Stay safe. Have a good one
Good day Is coastal hay kinda like timothy hay. Boy everything there work good. Who mostly buys small bales. Horse people. Merry Christmas To all Thanks
@@GerraldFarms that's pretty close to what it is up here rounds 60-80 big squares 60-100 little squares 3-7 corn stalks round are in short supply 40-70 a bale! Thanks!👍
Wouldn't it be less expensive to bale square to start with. We used to bale square back in the 70s I don't think round even exsisted at least I didn't see any at the time. I kept scratched up arms
It’s easier to bale them round by my self. It’s hard to find help to get square bales up. Plus we don’t have enough storage space. That’s why we rebale as needed. Have a good one
Down in your part of the country that seems to work well wince most don't need the mass tons of hay for feed like the cattle farms up here in the Midwest. By the numbers to rebale rounds into small squares is not at all cost efficient here since we can chop the forage or silage and bag it or pile in a bunker much much cheaper. I have been running the numbers on the rebale thing and it will not work here. Actually a tub grinder would be more the way to go and grind up the bales is what I am learning otherwise chop it for silage lol
We don’t rebale to feed cows. We rebale to sale small square bales. To horse people. It’s easier to round bale by my self. Plus it takes a lot of space to store square bales. Like now we store a couple hundred small squares. Then we rebale as needed.
Do you think the length of the hay has anything to do with the pickup not snatching in too much off the table............. a flow control valve would allow you to slow the feed table to where you could maybe feed it continueous, without too much stop start
Thanks for watching and commenting. I was rebaliing because I can round bale by my self. I don’t have enough help to pick up squares . And I have limited storage space to stack squares. So I can Rebale them as I needed them. Lot of people don’t understand. What works for you might or might not work for me. If you are interested I have several videos different rebaling operations.
Good video

If you need a dry place to store that, I have room in my shed! 😁
I can build you one. Or sale you this one and build me another one. Thanks for watching. Have a good one

We like it because it spreads the work out over more months. Only so many days a yr you can square bale hay and it's much slower than round baling.

Farming for Fun & Profit
- kind of like a variable speed sleeve on a combine cleaning fan but hydraulic flow control instead.
I want to put a Flo value in line. I think it will help to keep a smooth flow of hay.
did you make your rebaler?
Thanks for watching and commenting. We have a playlist on the build. Check it out. Merry Christmas
