An important detail that H3 team missed is that Ethan was reading an updated version of the article. The original got Adam's birth city and COUNTRY wrong... truly written by a journalist who "thoroughly researched the topic." This was also the only correction in an article full of libelous claims, go figure.

Leaving out the name of the actual person, and reducing Trisha’s entire existence to being a faceless ‘sex worker’ was very deliberate. It served two purposes, to dehumanise and trivialise her, and to make it less likely that the average casual reader who doesn’t know the context will look into that particular aspect further. If they used Trisha Paytas’ actual name, there’s a chance someone would Google it, and find that they ***had a podcast together** and watch Trisha’s video denouncing what she did, which very clearly lays out how malicious her conduct was, and how disgusted and disturbed the person who’s images were used was.
Furthermore, the reason that claim wasn’t directly refuted is because they (being her legal team) know there is actual proof of this. Denying it on the record could cause them big problems down the line if it escalated further.
The whole piece is gutter journalism from top to bottom.

I love how this journalist and so many others who take the stance that what Colleen did wasn’t grooming not only show their ignorance but also reveal how they did NOT grow up with Chris Hanson like the rest of us. They clearly don’t understand that for many predators/groomers it’s rarely about attraction and more about power/control/entertainment. Additionally, Colleen saying she just wanted these kids to be her friends is also telling because of how many predators/groomers all say the same:

I was thinking exactly the same thing. They do have a scripted response of immediately showing no remorse when caught and then making out that they are a victim of the world and made a mistake. I still remember in the early days of that show and they would let a predator leave and after his speech about never doing this kind of thing again, they would catch them the morning after meeting up with children. So, it’s certainly not something that they can feel remorse for and move on. There is too much of a pattern, and they are too addicted to the power.

It disgusts me when people try to justify her behaviour by saying that she didn't intend to have an intimate relationship with the minors she was inappropriate with.

Normalizing pedophilia to kids is sexual grooming. In many of her videos she made jokes about pedophilia and inappropriate situations between adults and children, brushing over the topic as if it were nothing out of the ordinary. What Colleen did definitely fits the definition of grooming. She exploited kids and caused them harm, at least emotionally. Manipulation and emotional abuse can be very damaging, the abuse doesn't have to be physical to cause harm. She certainly fits the definition of online grooming, "Exploitation to obtain s*xually explicit images and videos", when she made the girl in the romper do a s*xual pose and caused her romper to shift, made the kids reach into her pants for cheese balls, wanted Adam to send a pic of his butt and in the lingerie she sent him (maybe over his clothes, but still- they're a minor!), and had the kids pose with tampons in a suggestive way. On the family channel, the kids would be in suggestive poses, like doing gymnastics, and p*d0s would comment and timestamp all those moments in their vids, so youtube turned off comments for their vids, but the Ballinger family got upset that people couldn't comment, not that sick creeps were watching their children! I feel like that shows they don't care about exploiting kids, and wonder if they may have been having kids do these suggestive things on purpose to appeal to, and make money from, child predators.

She's exactly what her actions show she is & I think that many of her fans seem to be grieving for who they THOUGHT she was & are coming to terms with it. In a way the statement is accurate. The way we are using grooming does give a little more credit to the form of grooming they right use. Even though the way the right is using it is still with the sexual implication without the actual sexual improprieties being displayed. We are using it as in a form of grooming someone to be someone for you to take advantage of in a nonsexual way. Grooming through the exploitation of her power as a star. If she was just looking for friends, she had adults that would have worked. She was training someone to be her punching bag and assistant without the real benefits of someone independently choosing that path for themselves. It's all about grooming them to be the perfect little helper. So while it isn't sexual in nature it is grooming, but that use of the word does take away from the power of grooming as a word, so long as we are all idiots and can't differentiate the concept that words can mean more than thing

They keep saying what she did isn't technically "grooming" because she didn't intend to form a sexual relationship, and didn't get anything sexual/illegal from it. But weren't the kids sending her pics of themselves? Because she made a bunch of comments to them about how skinny they looked. Adam apparently wore that lingerie and sent pics? She was telling them and asking them to tell her sexually explicit things? And sending or showing minors sexually explicit content (Trisha's OF content) is a critical step in desensitizing child victims to make them easier to abuse in more extreme ways in the future. How is her behavior not grooming? Even in a technical sense it seems like clear cut grooming to me. And this is the sort of thing that can start small and escalate over time as the perpetrator seeks more gratification and continues to not get caught.
The people coming out with their stories about her now, before she escalates to even worse abuse, are protecting future potential fans. Now, if new young kids start getting into her content, their parents can look her up and see that these allegations were made. It will put them on their guard, and help them educate their kids to keep them safe.

I disagree on the amber heard thing because she was the abuser and Johnny was the victim. If they would’ve found 1 evidence that Johnny hit or abused amber, Johnny would’ve lost the case. But they couldn’t. Because he never abused her. There is hours of recordings of Amber on audio admitting to starting physical fights with Johnny and Johnny running away from her abuse & amber would get mad whenever he would run away from her. There is so much evidence against amber. That’s why the internet went so hard on her, it’s bc none of her stories made sense, they also found a few of her pics were photoshopped, and those audios of her admitting to starting physical fights. She was the aggressor. I don’t agree with the internet making a meme of the case bc this is a serious topic and a serious case about DV and it should never be memed on but there is a reason why people, a lot of victims like myself, don’t like amber bc now because of her, it’s going to be a lot harder for victims of DV, like myself, to get justice bc now people will think “oh you’re just a liar like amber heard” bc of ambers lies.
And I find it really gross how this writer is defending two vile women, colleen Ballinger (a groomer) and amber heard (a woman w a history of DV & abused her ex husband, her ex gf and her own sister & spat at her own assistant) and let’s not forget that both women are racists.
The writer of that article is horrible and clearly doesn’t stand up for real victims. I feel so bad for Adam to have to read that horrible article that is completely defamatory.

Perhaps this author has a link to Colleen might be worth looking into? My heart hurts for all of those minors and Johnny and Trisha as well! She hurt many. 😢

This SCREAMS “Oh em gee I really really need to put something out on a medium where all the moms who pay for my tickets and merch can easily read about what’s going on so I can downplay it all and make it all look like one disgruntled fan got bitter and jealous and is trying to ruin my reputation because I hurt his stupid feeling.”
Disgusting. I’m 34 and could never imagine cultivating a group of child fans even though I know that’s where the moneys at. She needs to grow the fack up, admit her wrongdoings & take accountability, and actually APOLOGIZE. My only guess as to why she hadn’t is because her lawyer told her to so she doesn’t self-incriminate. 🙄

have you guys seen anna akana's video on it? she defines 'grooming' really well and explains how it is not limited to being sexual grooming.

For instance the word molest is often used with a sexual connotation but if went the bathroom and someone fucked with my bagel 🥯 then they molested my bagel. Now it’s not the most common way to use but it can be used to describe basically any kind of physical violation of a person or a object.

i dont know if anyone else thought this but in her apology when she says maybe they didnt deserve to die i dont think she was talking about herself i think it was her way of jabbing at adam for the death threats he got from her entire fandom in 2020 :/
