I am not black. But I remember seeing a video of a tall black woman with super chocolate silky shiny skin and her hair, she was rocking an afro, a big one too. I was so mesmerized by her. I was like “My Goodness that woman right there is immaculate.” ✨
All black don't hate their natural hate. It amazing me that so many people are concerned about us. We try really hard to mind our own business, and I wish other people would do the same. Stop speaking for our race because no of us think the way you do about us. I have always loved my hair, have never been ashamed, or hated my hair. It's so versatile 😍 ❤
No no. I grew up in Nigeria. When I choose to where my Afro hair without doing anything to I get judged. Especially if it is in it shrunken state. People expect me to get my hair done. Which discouraged me from embracing my hair more. You said a lot of things I agree with. I appreciate you giving insight towards the day to day struggles we face as black people. All the best.
Thanks for sharing your experience, I’ve never been to naija so it’s good to see the difference- I should specify South Africa next time 😄. Thanks for your support xx
We have so much residue from childhood experience and comments about our hair. I’m a beautiful 63 and my mom used relaxer’s on my thick 4c hair starting at a very early age. I did the big chop during the pandemic and have struggled a bit with styles that make me feel and look my best. Self love for my natural hair and confidence is what I continue to practice on my daily journey. I feel so free in my natural hair, I feel so much lighter now that my wig has been removed. I work in corporate America and I’ve noticed a slight shift in things. More young people are entering the job market wearing their natural hair. When we have self love and confidence in ourselves we SHINE BRIGHTLY and others take notice. Continue holding your head high and walk in confidence knowing you are beautiful from head to toe. Enjoy your journey ❤ Blessings to you.
Thats why black people need to learn to love themselves and not apologise!!! I agree with you, things happen and as a result, it makes us want to cover our hair.
I think that we are our most beautiful when we wear our hair naturally, locked, in braids. I wish we didn't wear other peoples waste on our heads. Yes, hair is considered as waste.
I dont have an inferiority complex. I adore my hair. Never would you find me adorning myself with another womens straight hair, giving them an ego boost.
We natural girls are here stay ,get over it.we are beautiful and rocking our own natural hair .I don't care if you expect me or not who cares.God said come out from among them and be separate, and that's just what I'm doing. If you're comfortable in your skin then it wouldn't matter what Noone say. Who cares 😴do you.
Im just going to say this for me i love my hair, my naturally long beautiful hair (its about to my shoulders) and its braided and its not a big deal im an afro with 4c hair ( i think idk) the point im trying to make is that hair is beauty only natural hair and its ok to have whatever hair you have. Its better than not having any here. 😅😅😅
@@benitakayfor me it’s bc it’s not long yet and when it’s short I feel like I don’t look as pretty :( but I’m allowing myself to wear it out everyday for a year and learning to love it
@@Hellomynameispookiebear I can relate to you, I recently cut my relax ends off and I didn’t feel comfortable with the length for some time. I like that you’re challenging yourself for a year!
Before the 2010s, I wore no weave/wigs.. mean the 80s,90s as well.. but since the 2010s it was not acceptable in corporate America where I live. I got locs two years ago and have 4c and I like them.. but still ppl still look at me differently. Esp blk ppl- it makes me uncomfortable in this world no matter where I go 😢
It’s sad that people still look at locs negatively especially in the black communities. I think they are beautiful and have such a deep meaning. I commend you for continuing to wear them, don’t mind those people ❤️
I get those looks but honestly here in the U.S. they are not used to seeing a dark black women wearing her “actual” hair. Yes I stand out but I do not receive bad energy, alls get so much love and admiration. Black men stop what they are doing to look at my hair because again they are not used to seeing us wear our hair. Yet some white women compliment me but every now and again I get a “weird” compliment because I have more hair than them lol. They can look lol go ahead because I set my own beauty standards and yes I get so many drooling looks from white men. I have so much freedom from wearing my own hair and I start with an Afro and got compliments then too so. Also I have noticed that some black men get upset when I have conversations with white men like at work because they flirt with me. If you have noticed, there are so many beautiful Sudanese supermodels, not so much mixed bi-racial black models???? Yes they see the beauty that our own people don’t see. I love my hair and my own personal beliefs not knocking anyone else but I won’t wear any hair that is not mine. In all aspects of life, I go where I am wanted and it’s not my job to convince others that I am worthy. My son sees his mom wearing the hair that comes out of her head. 🩷🩷🩷🩷
I hate that some “black” women” have self hate. Idgaf who don’t accept me, im me. My natural hair is here to stay.
I love your confidence! I think it’s not always that easy depending on past experiences but we should all feel this way.

Don't hate nothing that is a part of me, embrace every cell, tissue, anatomical system. hugs&love, peace&soul.

Amen hun...but they want our butts lips which it looks stupid on there face don't look natrual..
She’s black herself 👀
In my opinion, I believe black men of the African Diaspora hate type 4 hair unless a mixed or light-skinned black women wears it.

Thank you 😊

I’m glad you liked the video, thanks for watching 🙂
Yes because everyone does not factor the colonisation, the assimilation expected from black students and corporate place.
Naturally beautiful inside and out.
I love my natural hair. It is not soft, or wavy but wiry and strong. It is beautifully my crown.

Amazing video 💕 I love the points you made. Especially when people stare lol they do not do it discreetly, it’s annoying tbh.

I want long straight hair, too, in ways.
Yall are too obsessed with hair! Focus on something else. Ladies don't let anyone bully you on how you choose to wear your hair.

Black women in American they so lost 😂😂😂😂😂snowbunny for life 🤣🤣😅🤣🤣
Why can't you say the word some instead of generalizing?
I tried my best to not generalize, but thanks for pointing it out. I will work on that in future
It's a given NOT ALL sifelani 🙆🏽♀️
No nuance nellies
Let’s be real-most black women hate their hair or else relaxers and wigs wouldn’t be the usual go-to.
