didn’t expect that Joe, happy you could make a trip to Berlin. As a Germany I just have been there twice in all my live. Shame on me, but will do a longer Tripp there end of the year to check it out a bit more. Thanks for the inspiration, its cool to see Germany from an others perspective. Cheers and safe travels.
Yeah it was a last minute trip, after my work in Munich finished up sooner than planned. I got very similar responses via my Instagram stories whilst I was there in June, so you're not alone haha
So reminds me of the week I spent in Berlin in the spring of 2019. It’s a special city and totally agree about the walking and it’s a good one to do just that. Great vid and great shots👌
So glad you were able to explore Berlin! Visited once in 2013, and been itching to go back in the future. Love to see how it has changed in the last 10 years :)
Thanks for this! Haven't been there since 2010, so many memories! If you like cities that have a graffiti culture, eastern Europe is perfect - Budapest, Zagreb, Belgrade to name a few!
Definitely need to explore Eastern Europe - feels like there's so much opportunity for photography and so much cultural variance, but I've somehow not been able to make it there.
I love Berlin and have done a few photowalks there in summer and winter. I lived there over a few years. It is a truly amazing city. Thanks for the great video and beautiful pictures!
Nice! I was supposed to get there in Winter 2021 and was really looking forward to the cold vibes, but unfortunately had to cancel last minute. One day...
I really like Berlin, been twice, but you’ve made me want to return. Love the photo at 1:10 👌. Can you remember the name/ Strasse of the cafe at 1.59? Hiring one of the many cycles is also a good relaxed way to get around. Good to see you looking and sounding so positive, your Vlogs are always a joy 👍
Been to Berlin three times (and planning a fourth) although never primarily with street photography in mind (that’s the aim for the fourth trip!) and it’s without doubt my favourite city. As you say, history, nightlife, alternative culture…great place. One thing I was wondering…what was your experience with people and street photography? I’ve found in Spain (where I spend a lot of time when not in the UK), for example, a real suspicion of street photography I’ve not encountered in the UK. How was it in Berlin? I have a feeling the laws there are similar to Spain and a bit complicated. How was your experience?
Couldn't agree more with the walking, can easily do 40,000 steps in a day. You'll be surprised by what you'll spot. However yes comfy shoes and quality socks are a must, I never get blisters. Paper tape is my secret for the more sensitive areas of the foot that may get a blister
Very much enjoyed, thank you!, This brought back memories from when I lived there in 2015! Always enjoy your channel and photos! Was it an all nighter in the end? Haha. Hello from Melbourne!
Yes Berlin is NOT a pretty capital (used to be before the war) like Paris or London but it still is an interesting place to explore due to it’s history in my opinion.
@@linajurgensen4698 Paris yes, London also technically yes but they destroyed their city all by themselves with ugly new buildings. Also Germany never was really centralized so there are plenty of really beautiful even large cities unlike in France or England where everything is centered around the capital.
AHHH! Right now I'm the happiest cookie on earth. You in my hometown and I were so sure that it will leave an impression on you. Berlin has so much to offer like art, history, culture, open minded people, music ofc. techno, bars and many restaurants which will take you around the world. btw: Yeah you can walk around Berlin, but don't. It's huge and you will only see some "Kiez" like small districts inside the district. :D Berlin is a different vibe to whole Germany, so enjoy it everytime you can and don't forget to eat a kebab at Kotti. ;) Cheers!
Glad to deliver, Nitin! Lots to explore for sure and my Google Maps grew exponentially outward the longer I was there haha. Definitely spent a lot of hours walking (especially late at night 🙃) although I didn't quite feel a big enough appetite for a kebab whilst I was there - maybe next time...
Ahh I know the feeling - some places just take time to "uncover" and then you can't imagine not being there. I remember almost leaving Melbourne before I got to that stage and so glad to have continued living there longer, as I now regard it as one of my favourite cities in the world.
Hello Joe, sorry for the delay watching this, but as always you do a great job, Im off to the states next month, a meetup and some street photography, fancy Japan next year mate, anyway, all the best.
Ahh JOE!! I wish I would have known you were coming here!! Would have love to take you for a beer and shown you around. If you ever are coming back this way, please reach out, we should connect.
Yes, the city has a lot of problems lots of people are depressed they live on drugs or antidepressants and the locals are racist and not friendly at all !
I was in Berlin last month and it was by far the ugliest big city in Germany, everything is dirty and smells of urine, I would never voluntarily go there again
So cool to see my Hometown from someone elses perspective! Great video!
What a beautiful message of love to a awesome city. Thank you Joe. ❤
It was a brief, but enjoyable, visit! Will return some day for sure...

Nice and chill Vlog! The kind we all love. Inspires me to see the world and explore. Thanks for sharing Joe! Nice to see you posting again 🍻
Cheers, Paul! More videos already in the works ✌️
Awesome man! Videos from Osaka?
Haven't been to Berlin since 2017 but planning on visiting in 2024, loved seeing it again Joe, thanks for that !
Hope you have a great trip - enjoy!

Honestly, walking is my favourite "activity" when travelling 😂
You got a great eye. Love the view on things from a photographers point view. Well done!
So glad you were able to explore Berlin! Visited once in 2013, and been itching to go back in the future. Love to see how it has changed in the last 10 years :)
Yeah, I'm always interested in seeing how a city changes and develops. A lot can happen in 10 years for sure!
Thankyou Joe, Berlin looks very cool.
Was just in Berlin for work but had no time to explore so glad I was able to see more of the city through your lens!
Ah dang! I hate those types of trips where you're left without feeling any sense of exploration. Hopefully you get to visit another time!

could argue that vienna also has tons of graffiti culture
Nice architecture and inspiring vlog🙂

I'm hoping my video output ramps up again soon! Got a few in the works already 🙏 I appreciate your patience!
Great work! Lovely footage!
Leaving to Berlin on Tuesday. Perfect pre video to watch. Subbed as well!

Interesting video. You certainly show the good , bad and the ugly.

To be fair Paris or London aren’t beautiful anymore either everything is just so filthy
@@robsch21 but they have at least an intact historic city center left and weren’t bombed to ashes like German cities.

Incredible video
Loved this video but the best part was no charge for oat milk at that coffee shop.
It is always cool to see what other creators do in my hometown haha
I think you would love my home town of Cologne in Germany. We got trams, graffiti culture and a tall building as a focal point.
Berliln is in my top 5 cities in the world!

It took me some time to like Berlin. Compared to Munich or Hamburg it's much more gritty and dirty. But now I love the city especially for it's style.

loved this :) Berlin is a very love-hate place for me, but I know exactly what you mean about hyper-politicised sticker culture

Come to Manchester
One day! I actually haven't seen much of the North West and I have no idea why haha
Trams:
Berlin
Basel
Frankfurt
Prague
…
👍🏴
Dublin has trams… and nightlife… just saying!
Berlin looks cool at the first glance, but when you live in it for a while, you realize how much it is of a dystopian city.
Dystopian city? 🤣

Berlin is so depressing and messed up
People riding bikes and enjoying the sunlight - so depressing !! 🤯🤯🤯

Berlin is super nice, relaxed and affordable compared to any other big city. Also the weather from April to October is very good in general.
Your face makes Berlín amore beautiful place.
