Those were very diplomatic and graceful thoughts. Although I'd like to point out that not every story that raises further questions is a good story. As an example, look no further than modern Star Wars. Those stories raise plenty of questions but it would be brave to call them good stories.
Thank you for posting this series and treating it with such reverence and respect. I enjoyed watching this.
Genuinely shocked at how abysmal the story is in every possible way
It’s alright, bit too rushed and not well enough explored. It tries to explore how getting plugged into a ship as a flesh navigation system impacts a person, but it is a little superficial with how much it goes into the different experiences of it. I’m sure you could make a decent book out of it (or more likely someone already has), but I don’t have massive expectations when it comes to most game plots, so…

Let me add to that, as a story it’s just not that inspiring. It’s got a grain of an idea, but it just falls flat. There isn’t much of an arch to it either.

@@AF-mw8gy yes, but you gotta admit Imogen has a banging body for a navigator. I'l absolutely love to navigate her cake and chin... even her long flowing hair is sexy. Shes a bit of a babe
Thanks for taking us through this...man, I couldn't have ever imagined 20 years ago that I'd refuse to buy a Homeworld game on launch, I remember buying the first game and getting utterly immersed just reading the manual while it was installing. I stuck it out through the whole campaign to see if there was anything in it that'd make me want to buy it even someday years from now at a discount, but I wound up just taking it off my wishlist.
I can see why the reviews are at least partially negative. The constant interruptions sure make it difficult to actually play the game, and the inability to build and end the mission on your own time sure feel wrong and inconvenient. Think I'll drop this from my wishlist, though I'm very happy to have enjoyed the stream with you.
Homeworld: Cataclysm still has the best story in the series.

IMO, I think HW3 is a good setup for a grand strategy HW game which would be cool

As a game it's a little short. But as an experience it was awesome. Great story... a little vague at times but engaging. And the graphics and scenarios were beautiful
I agree that it felt a little rushed. The concepts were cool but not explored enough. Weaponised hyperspace should have played more of a role. Would have liked Imogen to use it to destroy the Titanship.

Perhaps not in line with others but I think it's a great game. The visuals and music are the stand outs for me.

"To be Hiigaran is to never be alone" - except when the entire galaxy abandoned you to die for like 4,000 years, or except the entire theme of every homeworld game is to be alone in immense space
They story of this one just missed every single theme of the homeworld series by a country mile, feels disrespectful to the original games, very disappointing
Well ... I liked it. I've played the first 2 games when they came out and I liked those as well. People can bitch and moan about the story, I think this was a worthy sequel.

Ughhhh. The woman with the pink hair that directed BBI to re-write the story has destroyed any chance I'll purchase this game. The voice acting, story and cutscenes are cringe worthy. I have enjoyed your play through though, thanks for saving my money for me.
