Put this into a 8 or 10 hour loop and people could sleep to it. I fall asleep to Archs 40k lore videos all the time. Those are like between 20 some minutes long to 40 plus.

I mean, i recently saw a complete Game-movie of Homeworld (all cutscenes and ingame chatter important for story) that was 1 hour and 17 minutes.
So recapping all of that oneself, with scene recreation - great work and i love the results!
Don't forget that some Kadeshi returned to Hiigara after learning of the exiles' success, and reunited with their long long people, whom they've recently fought in that nebula.

Homeworld Revelations mentions it. The Needleships were not their only mobile homes. Around half of the Kadeshi rejoined with the Hiigarans, while the other half spread across the stars. A small group chose to stay in Kadesh to rebuild.
Mac, you didn't have to make that introduction so slick with the interceptor flying through pivotal moments, but you did. I love it.

Imagine the Kushan begging the Kadesh to cease fire, for they both were of the same people. The Minbarri straight up surrendered at the verge of victory at the Battle of the Line. Also, love the details of they both still using same First Contact procedure, and the accidental friendly signal. Also, also, imagine Fleet Command orders all fleets to engage the Tiidani fleets to protect the only friend they have in the whole galaxy.
Homeworld has to be turned into a tv show. Shit would be epic.

if they only brought a 1% of the original story in the actual homeworld 3.. thanks to PHD writing.. we deserved this kind of lore and story telling after 20 years of waiting not a disney pricess fairy tale

Beautifully done, mate. As a child playing this for the first time, I was more invested in the Kushan than the 3 Little Pigs. Can't wait for HW2 and Cataclysm if you get around to them
It’s amazing how one person can view an action as insignificant and at the same time be the first domino to fall that eventually leads to the downfall of an empire.
Love the hell out of this. My favorite franchise. Pride myself in knowing almost all of the possible lore and you still did it more justice than I ever could.

I like how an almost unkmown game I enjoyed in high school has been rediscovered, has a spinoff and a sequel.
On one of my play throughs, by the time i left that nebula. I had captured 15 or 20 of those Kadeshi Ion frigates lol.

What an absolute piece of art as assembled down into a lovely compendium, a lore movie for the uninitiated. This is a level of quality completely alien to UA-cam as a whole, much less the 'lore' genre, which is attached to its slow pans of loosely related game screenshots and occasional 2d, silhouettes. Which may even move if your lucky.
The concept that there's a whole channel worth of this waiting to be seen is incredible, and I plan to watch allll the rest of your content in time. In the meantime, Incredible work! Please, keep up what your doing, its a step above all your competition in a way that's frankly unbelievable.

Somehow I doubt we'll get that, recall that the source code for both were "supposedly" lost and the current game doesn't seem to work on current modern systems (Hell, I can't even get it to work in a VM with specs meant for the game)

In my play through all of the frigates attacking the trays were captured, I like to think they got exactly what they deserved for their crimes.
Just gonna leave a like and maybe some comments. However, I do admit that I'm only gonna count 1 (both Classic and Remastered with the Players Patch), Cataclysm/Emergence, and Deserts of Kharak as the definitely true canon of the series, due to recent... debacles.

Homeworld 3 currently 50ish percent positive on steam, thats a big oof.
Too many people complaining that it isn't HW1, or HW2, or Cataclysm (whichever is their favorite I guess). There's some valid criticism too but it seems mostly like whiny drama to me.
It's mainly because the story was not what people expected, and the rumors that the man who wrote Borderlands 3, another polarizing third game, also wrote part of HW3's story.
Don't worry, there's no Ava in this one. Although the Queen is definitely strange-minded, Imogen and Karan are fine.

Why Bentusi sold them ion cannon in that critical moment for just 800 RU, was a question I never thought about when I was teenager, back then I believed Bentusi help the Kushan out of kindness. when HW2 came out I thought they must shared some common goal or vision for the future. Then in my 30s remaster was released, upon play again, I had a revelation the Bentusi is using this trade to threaten the emprise so they can get more influence in the 'console'. Now with the remaster become history, I once again thought about this question, I now have a better theory of what is going on. Bentusi is in the trade business kind like the space guild, by 'help' the Kushan they threaten the stability of the empire. If rule of the empire is shaken they can increase the price of everything they trade in the galaxy. Oh how much doomer I have become.
Waaait, so they must have smuggled the hyperspace core out, since their transports were sub-light?..

It's a shame. two decades of waiting, just to get something that's really mediocre.
The story is really bad. The CG cinematics are very odd looking and out of place. Maps are too small. Very few skirmish maps (Think only 5 or 4). The strategic and tactical aspects are lacking, doesn't help that the very small maps just forces you to blob your units all the time and the campaign can be finished in less that 7 hours.
At least they got the aesthetics, graphics, and audio-design right. But thats it. Style over substance really.

Homeworld was an amazing, interesting game. Its expansions were good. Embellishments upon something great. Homeworld 2 was mid at best. It lost the character of its progenitor. Homeworld 3 on the far left field foot is a miserable disgrace that ever fell upon the world of storytelling. WOW. You did it. You made one of the weirdest stories into a political event. Good for you. Happy selling.
To damn waste of Homeworld 3... With this legacy to build on, and they totally trashed it! Due to activist within the BBI.
Now, the gameplay, skirmish and multiplayer is in a good state. So I do recommend the game if you want epic space battles. It's promising if the patches and DLCs is good. But forget the campaign and it's story.
Homeworld 3 is a disaster. OG fans stay away from it. If you like ugly characters, basic gameplay or other _modern_ mechanics, it’s for you. Enjoy your 6 hours.

idk about you, but the gameplay looked pretty neat, plus it has several control modes ranging from classic all the way to modern or simply customizing like a utter MADMAN
No need to exaggerate. The story is not great, but the game itself is alright. This is from a HW fan who's played the games since 2005.
