    I like how he came up with some points to prove the price he is charging. What happened to using tiles made in Africa or Ghana or are they not luxury enough for the buildings? Also ask him if they are paying the same wages to the workers that built the building as they pay in Europe that he is comparing materials to as well. Also ask him how much property taxes he is paying compared to the same building in europe. All these points doesn't justify the prices being quoted mahn ...

This is much better , Africa’s children around the world talking about how to improve their economic situations and wellbeing instead of hanging around and gossiping about women. That is the difference, black people invest too much of their time in unproductive things . Great video and many highlights 🙏🙏🥰

    Ivan you actually said what I was thinking when the designer told you the prices. So many people were complaining about the prices in New York and it seems that they are mimicking the prices of the American hotels-a deal killer for singles or couple but for a group of 3- 4 travelers $300 night may be OK. As an architect I would rearrange the bathrooms so that guests do not have to go into a bedroom to use the facilities -even a small bathroom can separate the toilet from the shower. Very good conversation and tour.

Good seeing African creators supporting each other for a greater good. I have seen a few of your videos and I think your niche is staying in Africa and highlighting unique talents and job creators. Not only it will help your channel grow but also it will help others. Most youtubers are doing pretty much the same thing, highlighting the Caribbean or south America and stuff but I think thats kinda of played out.

    Regarding the developers he introduced you to, I tend to agree with their concept and pricing. We as Africans and descendants should not underestimate our value and worth.
    The Europeans and Americans have already taken so much from our rich African countries, rather than help us refine, mine and reap from the wealth we possess. The units are worth it and priced as they should. Resorts owned by multi millionaires all over the world do not hesitate to charge high and fill their pockets without caring who is exploited.
    Love that my African brothers and sisters are excelling.

    Ivaintures, I totally agree with your argument about having a problem with spending the same amount of money on lodgings in Africa as you would have spent in the DMV area. The big question is... how many locals can afford to pay US$300 to spend a night in a BnB in Ghana? Would a nurse in Accra on the government payrol afford to pay US$300 a night in a BnB? The pricing should equate to the salaries people are earning. Here in England BnBs don't cost that much. Ordinary people can also enjoy some of the luxuries that rich people enjoy. I was on holiday in Barbados last year and we rented a 5 bedroomed villa with a swimming pool for US$1000 for a whole week. This is why some of us Africans live abroad, because the good things in life in Africa are inaccessible to ordinary people on the street whereas here in the UK, even bus drivers can afford to take their families to Disneyland Orlando Florida. This is fantastic work Ivain. Keep producing this kind of content👏🏾👏🏾👏🏾!!!

      Thanks so much for the feedback. I also appreciate you watching. Yes, the DMV is expensive and spending the same when traveling makes tough for sure. It is a nice building and whoever can afford it will have amazing amenities. The rent is just high for me 😂

      I agree. So much with this comment. No matter the country/city, I always compare AirBnBs to Hotels to local salaries and amenities. If the avarage local middle class earner cannot afford the AirBnB, then I stay in a hotel because at least it pays full taxes to uplift the city, but only a hotel that correlates with the local standard of living.
      I absolutely refuse to travel to an area and live above common folks in accomodations that doesnt alawys pay taxes or better the community around it. This where you get beggars and robbers outside your estate because the owner could only afford to establish his luxury business in low income areas with no benefit to the locals.

    • @faithdodger
      @faithdodger Рік тому +2

      @@tonygee5680I get that Ghana has a different economy but, is such a business model sustainable in the long run? It seems then that their target market are people from the diaspora. Is the target market large enough to make this business plan sustainable for the long term? It seems from the comments, that even people from the diaspora are dumbfounded by the US$300 a night rate. Gentrification has certainly hit the shores of Ghana. As Ivain said, "Different strokes for different folks". The fine entreprenuers in the video would not have ventured into this business without carrying out their research with due diligence. They have the clientel that can afford it.

    @ivaintures With all due respect, the West is generally much more expensive. Jamaica for sure is more expensive in the major cities eg.?Kingston &Montego Bay or even Ocho Rios for apartment rentals. Don’t even mention Toronto, Vancouver or Montreal Canada. New York, L.A. Chicago,San Francisco or even Atlanta.

      @ksaforo8811 Рік тому +2

      Some of these cities you mentioned cost much more for a one-bedroom apartment per month and it's nowhere near the quality of the apartment in Accra, plus exclusive of utilities.

    Well, butter my biscuits and call me a traveler, but $300 a night? Come on, that's exorbitantly sky-high, even for a posh Accra pad! It's wilder than a wildebeest's wildest dreams how within a stone's throw away, you could own a plot of land for a couple of grand. It feels like we're lost in the wilds of pricing instead of the lush beauty of Africa. Isn't this a backhanded high-five to our hopes of tourism growth? As if long flights and multiple hoops weren't enough of a deterrent, now we're adding the 'Price Chaser' to the tourism obstacle course. But hey, who am I to judge? Just a traveler seeking value amidst the Savannahs. 😄✈🌍💸

    I don't know diadporians come to Africa to live cheap. They spend all their money in America, UK etc , but come to Africa to not spend. Things are more expensive in Africa. Go to the supermarkets and see or build a house and see hoe expensive it is. You want cheap rent, but to live in luxury.

    East Legon is not the spot boss. Cantonments, Labone, Osu, Ridge, Airport Residential are the spots. Then East Legon comes after all of these 😂

      @yo, someone needs to correct all these content creators touting East Legon over the locations you listed. Ringway Estate and Dzorwulu can be added to your list. More sidewalks and trees will do the trick. Folks have beautiful compounds behind walls.
