I started carrying my 365 IWB appendix style after watching a couple of your videos. I was immediately amazed at how easy and comfortable it is. Thank you. In a world full of pure evil, all women and men alike need to be armed. Great to see women like you advocating for carry and the 2nd Amendment. Keep up the outstanding work you are doing.
First things first. You are stunning. Now, with that out of the way, I've suggested a young lady just getting into self protection, to study your vids. We're from Oklahoma or I would have her dad get her in your classes. But, thankfully, you have great teaching vids on YT. Well done. I also suggest men to follow your training.
Great job Amy. With the new open carry laws changing and even with conceal carry, I'd like to see the civilian sector start to train in weapon retention as well. I believe this is an area that just isn't discussed much in the conceal carry world. Even with the best situational awareness, a scenario could happen when you need to fight to keep someone from taking your weapon from you or from your holster. This becomes even more problematic when most conceal carry holsters are level 1 retention. My firearms and DT team has discussed this before, but it's always a tricky situation trying link LE training to the civilian sector. Something to chew on.
Agreed. My only holster retention is my shirt or elbow and that isn't exactly great. Heh (For obvious open carry, I do have an ALS holster with thumb latch, but after adding a red dot, I had to switch to a GLS with the latch at the middle finger knuckle, which is at least something. I haven't carried it though. In intended it for times of known elevated danger.)
I do give thought to not always holding the pistol at arms length to avoid having it grabbed, yet not having it so close that it could malfunction if fired. I guess that falls under tactics more than shooting fundamentals?
Can you make a video on proper shotgun handling or a video on competition shooting and proper firearm handling? Great video Amy and thank you for taking the time make and share them with your followers.
Nicely done! CCW, IMO, is a skill set that requires the most rigorous training with practice, practice, and more practice! Particularly if you have a few EDCs and/or multiple holsters in a rotation because of dress style.
@@TapRackPewAmy Now just a suggestion for a video. Learn all you can about the red dot sights for hand guns. Everything is headed in that direction. Believe it will generate a lot of interest and traffic for you. And you will be a head of the curve. Especially for new shooters and female shooters. Great job as always on your part.
Hey y’all. Love that intro. She Equips Herself always say, practice your draw before you leave the house.. I use a sticky holster, and practice frequently. Thanks TRPew Amy!
You know what I’d like to see you do a video on, Amy? Drawing from a pocket holster. That’s how I carry. It’s generally in a cargo pocket, but if it’s in my front right-hand pocket, NOTHING ELSE goes in there. I’ve cargo pocket-carried a Glock 42, a KelTec P32, and a SigSauer P238. I vastly prefer the KT for size or the G42 because, well, it’s a Glock and I shoot it well. I have a set of Truglo sights on it to replace the factory sights.
Hey, thanks for your great videos, could you please give a little more detail on your Kydex holster, mainly the clip as I too use nothing but Kydex holsters for all my pistols.. thanks and have a wonderful blessed day.
@@TapRackPewAmy Hey Amy… Look forward to the video on your holster. If possible in your videos, provide links in the description for your equipment used. Really would like to see a link on that holster. Take care and good to see material from you again
I conceal with a Glock G43 on a carbon fiber We The People Holster IWB with a Duluth Trading Company Lifetime belt, or a Ruger LCR .327 Magnum in a pocket holster, winter time is a Glock G29 10mm Auto in a Bianchi Agent X16 shoulder harness holster or a Blackhawk Serpa CQC Holster. If I open carry, Glock G20 10mm Auto in that Bianchi, Bianchi Agent 59 I believe it's called a leather paddle holster, and a custom thigh leather thumb break holster. Obviously I'm a big fan of the 10mm Auto, killed a doe in 1 shot center mass at about 37 Yards away, didn't expect that to hit honestly. 180 grain Federal Premium Hydra-Shok JHPs, nasty exit.
Thanks for the content! The color of that P365 is just beautiful. I teared up a bit when I saw it. Have any links so I can get the same or similar custom?
I was wondering what type of belt and OWB holster you use at the range for your Glock 19 , as my wife has got into shooting and she has a new Glock 48 that had her company logo and Texas Flag cerakoted on the slide thanks in advance !! Kirk
Good instruction. Just curious because I don’t have safeties on any of my ccw’s, do you take off safe while establishing your grip, during the draw, or when on target?
I carry revolvers but in training,I listen to the automatic shooters being told to not drop the safety until they are on target & putting their finger in the trigger guard.
When carrying with a safety on and practicing from concealment, I drop the safety as I’m pushing out onto target. I want my pistol ready to use as soon as the muzzle is pointed on target.
@@doughesson they're being given terrible advice! People with manual safeties should even practice switching them off when presenting the pistol to shoot at a range.
@@TapRackPewAmy Very nice 👍. I have never carried before but I have been thinking about it and trying to decide what would be best for me. I'm 5'9" 190 very solid and muscular but a little bit fat 18%. Thanks 🤠
