If you can afford that much silver paying a monthly charge on a storage unit etc. Isn't a big deal. To trust someone else to hold onto that much of your wealth to me Isn't very smart . What if the government would pass another law and take your metals away like they did with gold before

Not sure why you think this. Assuming you’re like the overwhelming majority of people, you don’t keep all of your money in cash. Meaning your “money” is just a number on a screen on your bank’s website. The difference between crypto and modern money is not actually all that different
