This is the part of the game where it becomes personal psychological horror when you realize this time... you have the match the sides of the dice perfectly in the image too this time around.
Yep. After I put the dice in the right spots I was confused, so then I looked at the pictures and a disgusting realization came over me. I didn't have significant trouble with any puzzle in this entire game, except for that one.
Knowing this was the final escape room you had to do, solving a bunch of complicated puzzles with this music in the background was so utterly captivating and badass.
I think this was the most fun puzzle room. Rather than riddles and item collection, it was all about solving fun little minigames, and the finality made it very tense and enjoyable. Music was also great.
@@phiikichi if you had trouble putting the dice in the correct number in the location, chances are you need to swap their positions. The way dice work on a grid, you can’t get every number in every space. Basically the two dices are oriented differently
I understand that I am talking back a year into the past, but I must say... Game length before Dice Puzzles: 10-30 hours. Game length after Dice Puzzles: 30-??????? hours. That is all. xD
Probably my favourite escape room theme. This song really made it feel like you were finally about to have answers to all the long tragic and desperate moments the story was throwing at you.
@Ash Simonian I know I maybe late but, the darts and dice puzzle were easier for me, the hexagon one took me longer because I didnt know I had to turn all of them to red lol
The AB mingame would've been great fun... if it weren't for the poorly explained hint. Sure, the blue password was crystal clear, but the green one... I had to look up what the answer was because I had no idea what the goal was. What really annoyed me was that I could've gotten the answer on my own if the hint was explained clearly.
Surprisingly, I found the Q room dice puzzle to be sorta easy. The library dice puzzle took me FOREVER, but once I got an idea of how to do it, the harder, Q room version seemed ok.
Biggest gaming FML ever: someone gets to this room, completes the dice puzzle, saves, then takes a break and when they come back, save file is corrupted!
A moment of silence for their save data. When I tackled the Q Room, I had to change location multiple times, leading to several instances of "oh crap, I'll need to subsist on my battery until I escape proper because of that corruption bug."
Knowing I was close to the end, I attempted this room even though I was barely half awake. Needless to say, I wasted about two hours to no avail. Tried again today and completed it under 30 :')
I completed the dice puzzle by just wiggling the stick around until I got the die like wanted it, and it went way faster than trying to solve it conventionally.
It's based on the colors of their numbers and the colors of the doors. So two red players could team up with a blue and enter a pink/purple door, for instance.
My brain was so confused at the minesweeper section. I couldn't under the wording of what the system was talking about when explaining how to do it. And then that dice puzzle was a mess
One of the puzzle rooms gives you the secret file by using the first two items you can find XD I think it was the one with the anti-matter generator, all ya had to do was use memory stick with tablet, and boom, secret puzzle solved heh.
Well, Remember11 did use a shape that looked like that for it's logo.... It was probably there to symbolize the importance of the number 3 in the plot...
I did the exact same thing. Spent AGES getting the dice aligned properly... and then found out the game wanted them rotated 90 degrees. At that point I just said screw it and looked up the solution. Technically, I HAD already solved it so I feel justified. >_>
I am currently doing the dice puzzle. I have put the correct colors with the correct orientation in the correct spots TWICE, and it still isn't saying I completed it. WHAT DO YOU WANT, DICE PUZZLE? WHAT DO YOU WANT? THIS IS THE WORST HELL IMAGINABLE.
In lounge I think..? I couldn't get the escape password because I forgot to look at the clock to see it was '' Green Sun'' and for the longest time I was struggling with the main puzzle, however got the secret file first thinking it was the escape password. b:
That dice puzzle can go burn in a lake of fire. The rest of the room was awesome. The overall wall puzzle was pretty ingenious. Reminded me of Minesweeper.
if you really want to know its was -SPOILER- ace, he killed lotus and he just played dead, if you look closely lotus's bracelet is off, but his is still on his wrist.
But there are 3 each color right? So what will the other person do since it's by pair? Oh and another question, does the color switch? I mean, it'll be boring if you will be stuck with Alice and Phi til the game ends.
"Q" has several meanings. First and foremost, it's a trick meant to confuse the player in 999. "Kyuu" is the Japanese pronunciation for our "nine". In addition, a lower-case "q" is visually akin to "9." It also stands for Quantum, as Azura stated.
Peter Richmond You forgot to mention that Q can be "9" in certain numeral base systems, while in the standard numeral base systems Q would be 8. Hence, "seek a door that carries a 9" from 999 actually is technically right on ALL accounts. You're technically seeking a door that carries an "Q", which can also be said as "Kyuu", which is Japanese for "9" but also refers to "8", in conventional bases, while also referring to 9 in other bases. You're seeking a door that carries a ALL THREE: a "9", a "Q" and an "8". Hence why "Q" has such a special meaning. By simply saying "find a Q" you technically are saying "find a Q/9/8". Which is exactly what the door in 999 is. It's all three. It's the "9th door", the digital root is "8", and it's marked with a "Q". It's all three. When you learn stuff like this, you suddenly get a whole new level of appreciation for the game's writing.
it took 42 hours to beat the game, but at last, i can finally listen to the OST without any spoilers

I found the room to be rather relaxing after having spent the last twenty minutes running around disarming bombs.
Eh, I think riddles are more fun than minigames
I felt so stupid at the dice puzzle. I kept at it for like an entire hour without even considering replacing the dice blocks with each other.

All the Escape Sections had that Bug, but in the PEC and the Crew Quarters there's more posibility.
I played the game on a Vita, so I thankfully had no such problems.

Why is this room called Q?
Why not?
