lol didn't even reminded for a while about this detail
Its because its subdivided between 8 & 6, giving a more stable feel than a straight 7 bar measure, very cool way of approaching it. Odd meters always feel more stable when subdivided. You could also do 4 & 3 which is probably the most common approach to 7/4 outside of metal, where the uneven feel is wanted. It tends to feel more as if the second measure is cut short, rather than counting to an odd number.
@@gitsurfer27 Typical occidental 4/4 mentality. Don't get me wrong, I have more or less the same way of subdividing since I am one of them too. But you must understand that depending on where you were born or grew up 7/4 feels more natural than 4/4 without having to break it down. I hope you understand what I mean...
