The outro song that played on the end card is by Scott and Brendo. You can download that song here:

I have below a list of all the equipment we use on most our shoots. They are direct links to Amazon, where we bought all the same equipment. These are affiliate links, so if you want to support us, and buy the item off the link, will make a little money off of it. Your not charged any extra, and it goes to supporting us, just wanted to make sure you knew ahead of time :) These are all products I stand by 100 percent regardless, and all products we use on a day to day basis. At the end of this list I'll have a link to a blog going into even more depth
about the equipment we use.
To buy "fake" anamorphic lens flares, and other lens flares, these are the ones we use.

Whenever you can create them naturally in camera, I would go that route though :)
Camera Equipment I Use:
Canon 5D Mark III (use for all our behind the scene videos):

Devinsupertramp Signature Series Glidecam:

My Favorite Lenses in Order of used most:
Canon 16-35mm F/4 USM
amzn.to/1Xe3KtA
Canon 14mm F/2.8
amzn.to/1UUacqQ
Canon 70-200mm F/2.8 II
amzn.to/1UUaf5X
Canon 24mm F/1.4L II
amzn.to/1UUaj5S
Canon 50mm F/1.2
amzn.to/1Xe3XwT
For all our aerial shots, we use the DJI Inspire 1, with two controllers.
amzn.to/1UUauhl
Our favorite audio mic for on board camera:
Rode Pro Mic

We also use B+W circular polarizer. They get rid of the reflections from water, windows, and most plants/green things. We use them whenever the sun is out. When buying a polarizer make sure to get the right size for the lens that you own. I feel if your going to spend the money and buy an expensive lens, it's worth spending the extra money to buy a polarizer of the same quality to match your lens, otherwise your lens won't be as clear. Plan on spending about 130 dollars US for one.
Here's a couple different sizes for common lenses:
77mm.

82mm

GoPro Hero4 Black Edition. This is the one we use and recommend.

Your videos rock dude, thank you for sharing this as I learnt tons ~Peace~
Devins tutorials are the best tutorials, without a doubt!
5:41 This is so very true, I've seen so many people think that just because they have a better quality camera that means that their footage is going to look better than on any other camera. The camera is probably one of the least important things when it comes to indie filmmaking. Lighting, shot composition, depth of field, and story all matter so much more when it comes to making something that actually grabs an audience. Your example was perfect, seriously, footage from an iPhone can be better than footage from a RED camera, in this situation it all comes down to what and when you're shooting, not what you're shooting with. Amazing video and great advice on using the resources you have to their fullest.
Thanks so much for sharing your "process," especially the bits where things don't go perfectly or according to plan--as if that ever happens. Seeing and hearing how you solve problems on the fly is soooooo helpful!
Literally the most insightful film maker on UA-cam. You and film riot are awesome
That was extremely valuable information! Big thanks from this brazilian travel vlogger right here! Cheers!
I'm learning so much more from these tutorials than I have in my past 3 years studying film/media at university
Thanks devin , this video is so useful :D
So noice to meet you yesterday in person, too bad gotta head back to NY.
Keep doing whatchu do, you rock man.
I thought of buying Parker's filmmaker course. Im happy I didn't do that, because now im getting the information from its original sourse. Thanks Devin!
I'm following you since your first video on youtube.. I started to hear your voice in my dreams lol.
you the best Devin, you and your team ;)
This is soo true :) sun makes always the biggest difference :) thanks for these amazing tutorials 😋
I'm picking up so much info from your videos.thank you so much for sharing!
thank you for making this video i really needed this information bro, subbed a while back but really enjoying the content now
Hey Devin, can you do a tutorial on audio post-production and how you guys record audio during shoots? I absolutely love your videos. These tutorials are awesome!
Very Good advice. I am learning a lot from all these videos. Thanks Devin!
thanks devin, please dont stop creating videos!
Thanks for these videos Devin! Such a help!!
I like how you talk facts and not about renting a car to go meet a good friend just to drink coffee and getting those buttery smooth b-roll shots xD
This video seemed to focus more on the action videos you shoot, but I'd love to hear about natural lighting as it pertains to some of your other scenic/landscape videos. The behind the scenes make it look like you shoot all day.
Cool video Devin! Shot a short film two weeks ago and we used the exact opposite: cloudy day. It's a thriller btw. ;)
Good day Devin. I truly want to thank you for what you're doing around us that we are beginning in this world of making videos. All your tutorials are helping me a lot. I would like a tutorial on how to use and effective tricks for managing Glidecam. And also i would like to know how you do to keep in focus the entire image, if you use some lens blur or not as i do. Truly you're a great inspiration, greetings from Puerto Rico.
Thanks for sharing your experience on these videos. 👍🏼👍🏼👍🏼
Once again, awesome. I am running out of excuses to do videos!!
sky guide works really well with using your location to track the sun, sky, stars and moon
Any tips for filing on a sunny day but in a forest with lots of shadows? to not get it too light or dark?
Sun Scout is a very usefull app. Thanks for the share Devin !
If desperate and unable to reshoot, I usually do some sky replacement. It's easy to manipulate cloudy, diffused light than sun light.
Please come to Vienna for an Mission Impossible Video!!! It would be so dope Devin!!!
Keep it up Devin; these are great!
YES! I was waiting for a video on this! ...and it was posted only 19 minutes ago...
LOL! Sometimes, I just stop filming when it's cloudy. Also don't wanna deal with editing that!
thanks a lot for sharing your advice for free :) Super grateful for it
Really informative video. You defenitley know the light things cause you 99% of the time film outside.
+Tech-Lo Unlike me im stuck at home doing fuck all and videoing my cat just licking his balls
Thanks for posting all these videos, I have learned so much already. Was wondering if you have a video planned for filming indoors, such as weddings? I find filming inside to be very difficult, so your advice would be greatly appreciated! Thanks again for helping all of us.
congrats on your engagement devin!
Thank you for all the amazing information and inspiration! Audio recording tutorial please?
Kinda funny since you don't make tutorials on Sunday :-P. Anyhow I love your tutorial series, convinced me to start trying myself.
So good to see that my assumptions were right. If I want to make good videos every week I need to move to a less cloudy rainy country than England. hahaha
these tutorials are awesome, hope you can make these till you're 90 years old :D
Was this filmed at golden hour? The image looks great!
Great lesson - thank you!
great advice devin!
Thanks for this video devin!!
Could u do a video when you use a polorizer and when u use a ND filter?
hey Devin! Your tutorials are amazing! I have one request. I know not many notice that but as film maker I know it helps video pop! So my question is: What sound effects do you use and how do not overuse them. Hopefully will get answer to this or maybe even tutorial! ;)
Thanks.
Simas
I was just thinking. Could you do a video about the process you go through to make a video? From idea to product. Also, whats your thought process when the camera is on? What are you thinking about? Thanks!
Big fan of yours your tutorials are awesome, I would love to see a tutorial of film with smartphone (android and iPhone) like special techniques, having a 5D do you really use your phone's footage?
Will there be a lighting tutorial ?
(I mean lights that you set up)
c est géniale
Please Devin, turn off that blinking light on your monitor in the background !!! Loved the video btw :)
Hi Devin,
cool video. i think it would be great if you do a video about fokus
That was literally a great video ;)
Thank you so much for making this video... :)
I totally agree...most people care about cameras more than about light.
Thanks Devin 😀. You guys should watch my film about Asia!
Awesome tips! I've been struggling with natural lighting videos for interviews. Shot one at golden hour and forgot how limited in time we get with that! Will you do a color correction in post video too?! Having a flat image, I never really know what I should be doing to get a more popping image. Maybe I need more light... xD
Cloudy = good not bad. At least for actual film production. If your doing sport trick videos then yeah, sun could help.
Please do the tutorial for Scrip writing and directing. :)
amazing tip!
Hey Devin,
I really like all your videos and most of them are very useful for me,
but I have one con,
at the end of every video you have click video above,
but I think that you should stop the video just a few seconds earlier when in the song the word stop comes up :D
so without those four/five last words of the song.
Greetings Dylan :D
Is not waiting to see what the sun is going to do, it's the freaking clouds man :D
Great video
very big tip, thanks
Awesome video as always! I am a producer and would love to work with you Devin!
Do you use nd-filters when filming in golden hour for example with your 5D Mark III? If so fixed ones or variable? Which shutter speed and framerates do you use most of the time?
Thanks for the lesson dude. Much appreciated. :oP
Hey Devin, I have seen that in some shots you use your camera hand held, so is there a special technique or something to make your shot look good?
Devin, could you do a basic tutorial on shutter speed, iso and apertiture? Thanks bro good video
Aperture
+Galeotejunior THE BEASTS i think he already did one on shutter speed, and iso is just increasing your sensors sensitivity to light so its making your image brighter but its also adding noise and degrading your image. and aperature increases or decreases your depth of field
Magic hour was the original term. I guess someone came up with golden hour because, you know, the sun looks golden...? I prefer magic hour. Golden hour sounds too close to golden shower. LOL. Thanks for your video. Great ideas.
where did you film the assassins creed? there is a part that just reminds me of city creek in salt lake city
hey devin, great tutorial as always, just one question. do you leave your white balance at 5600k in golden hour or do you pop it up to get an even warmer look?
Android I use Sun Surveyor Lite and Golden Hour. Both free and amazing tools to get the right light,
remember devin gotta start prasin the sun before you have no more natural loght
i have a question. i wanted to do a video in the woods but does it matter if it isnt golden hour because it is kinda in the middel of the island so will the golden hour really matter?
Just wondering - what neck of the woods you from? That (Raven?) logo on your hoodie looks familiar -
Thank you
hi devin, what do you think about 3 axis motorized gimbal vs mechanical stabilizer?
Can you make a video about how to film a video on the scene
Hi Devin! Do you still use a polarizer when filming in Golden hour?
Down a shot every time he says "golden hour"
What white balance setting do you use during golden hour compared to lighting at the rest of the day?
Do you use Magic Lantern on your 5D MKII ? I have a 5d MK II too and i was thinking if you push up the Bitrate to get cleaner crispy image.
Could you talk about how to focus?
What about filming outside at sunset? What do you think?
What would I do if I wanna get a night shot but my cameras horrible in low light? It's only a tiny camcorder so should I just colour correct it to look like its might?
I feel like this channel is my film school! Haha
hey Devin thanks for the information, however i have a question related to Sony a7sii. its been said that its the best low light camera and i have been using this camera for a while but my biggest concern is noise is there any particular settings or anything can be done to avoid grains when shooting in dark. please reply
So basically: shoot in golden hour...
Can you do a video on stabilizing/gimbals?
+MaGe Studios lol ohhh kk
hey devin, whenever you make these tutorials and stuff, do you ever make scripts or you just say what's ever on your head? just asking *wink
Want to understand the power of natural lighting? Try watching The Revenant.
Devin ... When shooting during 'Golden Hour' do you still have your white balance at 5600k or do you change it?
Go 6000 or higher depending how warm you want it too look.
The problem with videos I make is that I record videos of my holidays, so I don't have the option to return on a later day
watched this during golden hour xD
+duckwaycool golden shower?
lejonetnord
ofc ;)
What when you ahve to be in the day sunlight?
Oh my girl friend & I have a little different definition of "Golden Hour". 💏
'cause Sun scout isnt available on Android: Sun surveyor is a great option.
have a nice Day :)
Pfff "golden hour golden hour golden hour" I'm in Scotland bro, I was looking for information about controlling natural "cloudy" light, like how to play with negative fill light, ... when you have a complete 10min scene with dialogues and tracks there's no way you'll just use 3h of your shooting day.
I have a question. Do you still prefer the glidecam over these single hand gimbals? Like Nebula 4000 and others?
As I slow and light full time traveler, I worry about the amount of stuff I carry, so I'm really confused of what would be better in the long run.. getting a glidecam and learning how to use it or having a nebula 4000 and start delivering better quality material in less time.
video settings for camera please
how many red cameras have you..???
