NP9 is not necessary to add, and before adding pine oil you must make sure that the pH is at around 6.5-7 and also that there's no foam. If you add without checking you pH or if there's foam, your product will separate. Normally you checypH and adjust it if it's not 6.5 after that you leave your product overnight to defoam, after defoaming that's when you can add your pine oil. Make sure you add it slowly.
Hi Ben Many thanks indeed for your response and care for addressing the issue of ratio of NP-9 in pine gel , job well done i watched the video, now next on your diary project
You are the best. Thank you for this formula. O nice and well explained. Some people have asked why pine gel turns yellow after some days. What could be the reason?.

I want to make 20 litres can you help me by giving me the correct proportion for making 20kg. Do I just pour caustic flakes without melting it in water. Thanks
To make a 20 litres just divide the above ingredients amount by 5 then you will get the ratios for the 20L, Caustic flakes you can dissolve in a small amount of water. You can measure your required amount of water for manufacturing then take Small amount of water from that part and use to dissolve the flakes

These are the raw materials I use to make it. Water. Sulphonic acid. Caustic lye. Pine oil. Please help me solve this problem of liquefying
Probably the shift in the ph balance. The moment you see colour change in products know that your ph balance has shifted. I'm not sure what PH balance pine gel should be .( my guess would be 7-11) which is more alkaline vs a ph of 6-1 which is acidic, which tends to have a yellow/ orange ish colour. Alkaline tends to look more greenish in colour. Hope this helps. I dont make detergent products

I want to make a liquid Disinfectant that is not thick. Can I remove the NP 9, and add BAC 50 (diluted as in the video), urea and a perfume? I also notice that in another video you said formalin is used as a preservative for household products, and that in some formalin is used but others it is not. Why is that?
Hi. I'll answer the question on Formalin first. Formalin is a preservative, it increases the life shield of a product, but on products that don't have water as ingredient, you don't really need Formalin, as other ingredients will be highly concentrated, same as on products that have water, but on a very small amount, you may not need Formalin as well. The amount of Formalin into a mixture, should be about 1% of the amount of water. To get full details on Formalin, watch this video : ua-cam.com/video/svr8CHJzLV4/v-deo.html
Hello Ben, I did a batch using this formula but after some days the green colour was turning into yellow, what could have gone wrong and how do I solve it?
Consider getting a PH meter, changes of color mostly occur in a case of excessive PH. The PH of pine gel should revolve around 8 to 9, also check on the water you're using, it may be alkaly, adjust the water PH to be neutral before you start the manufacturing process. Consider this if you really wish to produce quality products. Regards.
@@ndounaben Thank you for the quick response. Do you have any tutorials on adjusting water PH. and in my case is there anything I can do to the product I have already made?
