Not going to lie, this is the coolest guest you’ve had so far. Not only is a a drifter, and has been living in Japan for so long, but he also had a perspective on the early days of anime that you couldn’t get anywhere else.
the guest fits their podcast perfectly, it's almost like a meant to be. I like pewdiepie and mr beast to be as guest too, but I think this guy fits into their conversation more perfectly. pewdiepie don't watch that many animes,so they can't talk much about it, it would just be a 2 hour introduction of pewdiepie's channel, which most people are already familiar with. And Mr beast is so out of their topics, if they start bringing any person as guest, they will lose their focus on what this channel is about. Basically they need someone who loves anime but also has specialty in certain field. They can even have an episode of mecha collection or engineer dissects the physics of gundam. Or a chef talking about food war while being passionate about cooking. it's about digging deeper into the content that no one dug before, and the UA-cam algorithm will do the work.

This is an amazing episode. Noriyaro is so articulate and engaging. Love his old school anime days tales. I too printed out translated scripts to read manga. Hahaha. Definitely top 10 fave guests. Did not know much about drifting culture but am definitely following his youtube channel now!
trash taste: an anime podcast that doesn't talk about anime even when there's no guest also trash taste: brings in car drifting youtuber and finally talks about anime
Due to this episode having some sort of issue with an ad/sponsor, they had this episode privatized right after release for WEEKS until they could resolve it, which definitely effected its views. It was a shame it happened with a guest episode too, because it was a great one and very memorable, so I am very happy it finally reached 1 million and more people are watching/enjoying this! Hopefully they'll have Alexi on again sometime
It's been two years and I've listened to this episode 4 times on Spotify and watched two times. Alexi is so chill and has a totally different experience just from being older than the guys.
The amount of knowledge and the sheer passion this guy has makes this episode so encapsulating from the very start. This is my 2nd watch through of TT and I can say that this is one of the Best guest episodes, on par with the likes of Daidus and Emily.
One of the few guests whose life story isn't "I streamed/made videos in my basement, dropped out of school, became a microceleb in my 20s and now spend my life networking with other microcelebs". Alexi actually got to live a little in the real world and gets to appreciate the success he worked towards while keeping some common sense.

When noriyaro started talking about how he got to japan, and got to the lart where he was working for making car magazines, my head instantly went to that 2007 japan vlog he uploaded several months ago, some raw footage from that trip. Quite interesting.
Its not really cool to mock someone's phobia's though Oc the guys were just joking here so it's cool, but just for people who might take it too far, phobia's are just as legitimate a mental health issue than depression or anything else.

besides the hentai episode that was cringe as hell
Ive never watched Noriyaro before but I have to say i love his talks, every story he told was engaging. What a great guest.
I wrote for Hyper Magazine from issue #1 to about #24 and it was super awesome to hear someone talk about the magazine to an audience of 1M. Thanks for name dropping Hyper!
Awesome

Wow , so Ferris actually exists in the history

Noriyaro's my favorite guest no doubt. His stories were so engaging and interesting it's such a breath of fresh air. Not to mention a proud weeb too.
@Matt Horkan doesn't mean she's as interesting as noriyaro
@@lechehehe totally the best guest episode so far
@Matt Horkan what we mean here is that Noriyaro brought so much to the table that it even beats a live 2-d girl
Ikr, had so much fun listening to him cuz generally i only listen to the podcast for an hour at most everyday but with this one i finished it and was like "wait, that it?" Not saying other guests were boring or anything but he was definitely the most pleasing to hear to.
Yeah, he's really great at talking and telling stories.
This is an amazing episode. Noriyaro is so articulate and engaging. Love his old school anime days tales. I too printed out translated scripts to read manga. Hahaha. Definitely top 10 fave guests. Did not know much about drifting culture but am definitely following his youtube channel now!
So sick how Noriyaro still has his Akira tee. It's worth over $1000 today
Noriyaro is like that sensei who sees the hidden potential of his pupils Joey, Garnt, and Connor.

Fair enough
It's a fair cop
Now that's a trade offer
Yessir!
NORIYARO! man I did not expect Alexi to be on trash taste. This will be good.
It had to happen after the drift episode.

I wonder if Noriyaro had a sticker he was gonna give them until Connor went monkeybrain so Alexi just hid it in his pocket.

Him being a drifter I bet he had a ton of them at the ready in his van.
It's been two years and I've listened to this episode 4 times on Spotify and watched two times. Alexi is so chill and has a totally different experience just from being older than the guys.
I can’t believe that Trash Taste has been going for six months now

The amount of knowledge and the sheer passion this guy has makes this episode so encapsulating from the very start.
This is my 2nd watch through of TT and I can say that this is one of the Best guest episodes, on par with the likes of Daidus and Emily.
This is definitely the most entertaining guest episode so far! I’d never heard of him before but Alexi is such a legend!

Why was it down?

When noriyaro started talking about how he got to japan, and got to the lart where he was working for making car magazines, my head instantly went to that 2007 japan vlog he uploaded several months ago, some raw footage from that trip. Quite interesting.

The boys: How do you even get into drifting?
Canadians with a rwd or awd car: winter just kinda happens
Go down the street late at night and skid on black ice... Terrifying stuff.
Oh shoot I might've just crashed!
Hehehe but it's kinds fun so let's do it again
Hell, this year we didn't even need to wait for Winter. We had such a huge spike in illegal Street Racing and Unauthorized Car meets in Toronto this year.

Anyone who visits Toronto will quickly dismiss any stereotypes they have about all Canadians being polite and nice individuals :p. Still, there are more than enough good people to outweigh the bad ones and I wouldn't trade living lakeside for anything in the immediate future. Been to Vancouver a few times and I love the ambiance of the city, but Goddamn if it isn't expensive as hell to live in.
