He said it was the loudest prayer of his life as his partner was dying from the same illness Freddie passed from. To go on stage and put on a performance of Somebody To Love, which was outstanding, a true professional to be able to do that while his partner watched❤
That’s very true. I’ve seen the video. You can see David on the side watching then clapping when he finished. The rehearsal was as good as the concert. George was such a superstar talent.
Thank you for this , I love how people remember how special this man was . This shy wonderfully kind , deep George who will never be forgotten. Voice of an angel , RIP George we will always love you .
IN fact George rehearsed with Brian, Roger and John almost every day at Bray studios. A lot of artist did their thing and left . Not george... he wanted it to be perfect and it showed.
I think the rehearsal performance topped the tribute hands down. The rehearsal was all George Michael. He literally owned that song that day. He was unbelievable.
Thank you for yr lovely review of George's rehearsal of Freddie's song it's nearly 4 years on Christmas day that George passed away and he is still missed by devoted fans God bless George RIP xxxx
Watched the documentary today. I hated it! I hated everything about it! The worst part is how it made me feel when it was over. I cried for George today. 2022 #portraitofanartist In fact it was so bad it made me angry! Now I’m watching the exorcist to calm down!
Fan friend you are so right. I'm still feeling angry about all those lies, how could his family and close friend allow this. Talk about the good soul he had.😡😭
@@glorianash5180 This crappy thing was made by Simon Napier-Bell who George fired almost 40 years ago from managing Wham! He made this film out of spite and for money - He has always resented that George fired him just when they were on the cusp of making millions - He's a nasty horrid man. Not sure how Andrew got involved in this crap - I don't think his family was involved in it at all. Kenny Goss was another leech and I just hope George didn't know that Kenny was as awful as Napier-Bell.
George Michael: Portrait of an artist, WHAT A JOKE! The timeaspect is completely wrong. When discussing George's friends...... wrong photos are displayed. The film concists of old interviews... which you've probably already seen. The film concentrates also more on the scandals..... made up by the awful press, instead of talking about George, as a wonderful human beeing and brilliant singer- and songwriter.
I won't watch it - it was done by Simon Napier-Bell, a manager of Wham! that George fired for lying to him about something really significant and doing something George found morally repugnant. For Napier-Bell to have crawled out of the woodwork to make money on George after George's death was as disgusting and disgraceful as Napier-Bell has always been. I was disappointed that anyone who cared about George appeared in the film - he and Kenny Goss (and George's cousin, Andros) all slithered out to make money off George after he died. Heartbreaking when you consider how incredibly generous and kind George was - not a perfect human, no one is, but, many he did not deserve what these awful people did to him and also to his family.
GM......pure perfection! What a nice memory to share with the world!❤

Impeccable George Michael.
Thank you Brian Aris 💘
Wonderful to hear this validation of one of the finest singers of the 20th centuary, from any genre. Rock on George Michael. You are loved and missed.
What a kind personal memory of an incredible artist. Thank you for sharing!
