I just purchased a 2004.5 sportsman 500 h.o and it runs amazing in low gear and bogs in high rpm in high gear. I havent done much to it yet but am curious if you may have come across that issue in the past and found a fix. Thanks in advance ! Cheers!
Yes. I have a couple. Thanks for watching. I would start by cleaning the carb and checking the fuel lines and pulse pump. I think you have a easy fix if I could see it.
I didn't have to pull mine off. They are pressed on with a press. When you separate the case halves it come out with it on the crank. On a 800 I rebuilt ,the new crank had the gear on it already.
