Hot Swiss Mocha

  • This Mocha beverage is different from other hot chocolates or mochas because of it creamy and thick consistency that comes from adding pudding mix or custard powder to the hot drink. On a cold rainy day or a winter night this drink is calming and restorative. If you use a drinking cocoa with sugar in it use less sugar to whip your cream. This drink can be made by using sugar substitutes as well.
    To make 1
    Large drinking mug
    3/4 cup plain boiling hot milk
    1 shot espresso or filter coffee decoction (hot)
    Hot water
    Sweetened vanilla whipped cream
    Sugar (to taste)
    1.5 or more tbsps drinking cocoa
    1 tsp vanilla custard powder or
    pudding mix
    1 tsp Milk powder
    Method
    Combine milk and custard or pudding powder with sugar and drinking cocoa in a mug. Add 4 tablespoons boiling hot water and stir to a smooth paste. Add hot coffee and stir again. Add hot milk and stir. Top with whipped cream and dust with cocoa powder. Serve hot with a spoon.
