Not really bro. They taught her conventional and then went on to do Sumo, not really fair is it. Sumo has a way smaller range-of-motion and hence is easier to lift with since their legs are more widened so its easier to reach the thighs. Its just a cheap way to perform a deadlift.

PS: I am an EMT, not a fireman. I just started volunteer fire recently but my main experience is in an ambulance. We use firemen on calls, hence the joke. I also want to clear up using “beaten to death” to really mean beaten badly and for a long period of time. Nerves got the best of me to relive it. EMS is how I am paying back the fire/pd officers who intervened and helped me. 💜

You just lifted 205lbs despite not having ANY weightlifting experience, and you DEFINITELY had more in you. You are literally by far the strongest one of them naturally, it's just that they have experience in lifting. Great timing! I just got a gym membership last week and I've been considering deadlifting. As a very tiny woman, seeing these fellow women who are nearly the same size as me is very encouraging!! I don't have a lot of serious experience in the gym, but I've been going thru a tough time mentally and I know deadlifting would be a great outlet with all the time I have.
I cried so hard seeing these amazing women empower each other! Thank you ladies for encouraging me and showing me that I CAN get over my anxiety and do this.. And of course, thank you Jubilee for giving these women a chance to shine and encourage girls like me who want to start doing this! 💛

Hire a personal trainer for a few sessions to help with your squats and deadlifting. Form is super important and you don’t wanna injure your back.
