My parent's 08' Sienna was stuck in park. Thanks to your detailed video and description. We fixed the problem with ease. Thank you for taking the time to help others in the same predicament.
Saved my Sienna and boat! Had backed down the boat ramp too far, something blew the STOP fuse. Could not move from Park to Drive to pull the boat up the ramp. Found this video, pushed the button and drove up the ramp safely.
just wanted to say thank you for posting this as the exact same thing happened to me and the auto tech thought it was the sensor switch. So your video just saved me over $120
Hafa Adai from Guam boys/girls. Sure enough I swapped bulbs and that is when the problem started. Didn't have a clue to I found this by chance. Fixed it myself in five minutes. Thanks!
I'm soooooo glad I found your video. I did the EXACT same thing yesterday trying to repkace one of the break lights. I switched bulbs just to see, then I noticed all of the break lights stopped working. I tried to move the van a little, but the shift stick wouldn't budge. I already knew about the little release push button,, and it did allow the stick to move. I kind off had a feeling it had something to do with a blown fuse. I'm going to check it today and hopefully that is it. Thanks for taking the time to share.🙏
Hello there and thank you for sharing your experience with the world. I just had your exactly same experience on a sienna 2005. Too bad you could tell me before that I would make a mistake using the turn signal light! When I watched your video I already checked all fuses and I could not see the one broken. At that point there was something that bothered me much more than the broken brake lights and that was having the shift gear lever stuck in parking position. Your information about how to get free from the parking position was very good and brought me some pace. At this point, knowing that I could at list drive to a mechanic and ence much more relaxed, because you said that for you the problem was a broken fuse, I repeated the check on the fuse you showed on your video and you were right!!!! Your video is very PRECIOUS , thank you very much for your help!!!!!!
this was a godsend on a evening when I least expected that replacing a stop light bulb can cause such a malfunction. All I did was watch this video , located the fuse box easily and proceeded to fix the issue. THANKS !
Thank you very much for your video instruction. My wife got stuck after church @9 pm & I had already gone home. But with your help, I was able to go get the van home with no problem @ all. After I changed the fuse, it worked like a new van.
I replaced all the lights on the back of my van yesterday. Little did I know but the auto story sold me the wrong bulbs for my brake lights. I was at a loss as to what the problem was. Your post saved my bacon. I replaced the bulb and the fuse (which was blown) and everything is working. Also your tip about the little button to get the van out of park was a huge help. Thank you so much for taking the time to put this information out there. You really saved me from a huge ordeal. THANKS!
Steven Robinette can you tell me which is the right bulb for the brake light because the same thing happened to me but the auto store is saying that that's the bulb their computer system shows for it
THANK YOU. It was exactly what I needed to learn. After putting in the new fuses, everything came back to normal, including brake lights. Even the screwdriver trick was an education! Again, thank you!
Thanks a lot for this video, I had same problem this morning, and now i'm going to fix it as you showed in the video. Thanks again for helping lot of people like me
THANK YOU THANK YOU SO MUCH. This video solve my prblm i did the exact thing on my wife 04 sienna want to replace the left blinker and i bought the wrong one so i was gonna try out the bulb on the top since they look alike after that the gear got stuck trying to move the car i thought we need to replace the transmission or something after hours of calling some mech and telling to bring to the shop and they have not even check what the prblm is but they gonna charge 300. Just came online and saw this video all i spent was just $4... thanks for the post u made my day
Same issue, found blown 10A fuse R/R only to blow again when applied brake, trace to two shorted brake light bulbs. R/R both bulbs and the 10A fuse, problem solved. Total cost $7

After change the new bulb but break ligh not working mean time rain is start then I stop working on break and start car and my car gear is stuck on park, I am so confused and outside heavily rain , youtube your video they save my money and time, Thanks for sharing used full video Raj Patel
another issue when we opened up that little box to release the gear, steering got tight, dont know how much tighter because my ol man was driving and signal lights, radio and clock light wouldnt work
2015 Toyota Sienna STOP Fuse would blow immediately, repeatedly. As others have mentioned we did have a bad / shorted brake light bulb, but in our case the wiring to our trailer hitch was ALSO shorted. Having two problems made it very hard to find ( confusion ) ~ ' just wanted to post this to help the next person.
First, THANK YOU to the publisher for sharing the solution to an obscure electrical problem that should not have survived the manufacturer’s design phase. And second, a huge 🖕to our friends at Toyota for the craptastic job they did on this electrical design. Talk about lazy and greedy …
So had a right turn stop light not working. Switched, then the same day the transmission did the same thing. Fine .....but also the power doors, did not open electronically, had to be manual....Did that happen to anyone else??? Now my stop lights are on, will switching the fuse 1A fix the lights, with the bulb now in there?
I am so glad to see so many people have been helped by my little video posted in 2016 :-) Sorry, I do not post English videos in this channel, please go to ua-cam.com/users/AubreyZhangvideos to see more English videos there. Thanks!
The music really brought out the emotion of the situation
LOL That was funny, but it does absolutely stink to be in this situation!
