Love the dead education. You've got a knack for it. Appreciate what you do
how tf do you not have 100k subs at least
It’s one of those true mysteries of the universe
Dude, whenever I want to learn Dead, I come to your channel. Your lessons are always tight. Thanks for all the work you put into them.
I chuckled more than once (and shook my head) but caught the outro vibe so I’m quite the satisfied viewer lol
This is so great! You really deserve more views!
Awesome, thanks dude! The majority of videos on this song are of the slower versions. It's great to see a lesson based on the original version.
Thanks! I try to teach an amalgamation of the original versions and some live versions I’ve heard since that’s what we do for the Dead tribute band I’m in.
I was waiting for you guys to post on my birthday and I just found out you did I’m a little late lol
Even the covers! Lmao. Appreciate your Davy. If I could subscribe more than once I would.
You make me laugh hard brotha!
What a channel this is. So good.
Thankyou man GOAT
Thanks!
hey Toby, not only are you entertaining to listen to, but your breakdown of these songs is so easily digestible the way you do it. Is it cool if I share what I have done with these lessons here with you?
Nothing but grateful for these, and this is just for inquiring minds (really just mine). Where’s foolish heart on you’re to do list? Keep it up these have to pick up steam soon, I’ve never seen such great breakdowns!
Aww, shucks. Thanks, homie! Foolish Heart is one of my absolute favorites, so I’ll definitely be doing it in the next few months.
Toby & Davvy lol, you’re welcome! Can’t wait to catch that one. I get lost during the verses but I think I kinda got the intro down.
How do you make that clicking sound in between the strums of the intro? I hear a lot of electric guitar players making it and idk what it's called.
My man
I was going to ask what version it was you were playing as a demonstration because I was like "that sounds like a hot show", then after a couple times listening trying to figure it out (because it sounded familiar) and right as I was about to ask realized it was the studio version. 😂 I haven't listened to that in a while it's better than I was thinking.
Yo, Vincent Vega! Our man in Amsterdam. . . Don't be so hard on yourself broseph. Take a vacation, fall out for a while 'cuz summers comin' in and it's going out in style. So, light it up, smoke it and have yourself a ball. Sweet Mama's down in Memphis, won't be back 'till the fall. Hey hey.
Killer references. 10/10
A suggestion for these tutorials would be to say which pedals you use for each song on stage. Doesn’t need to be in-depth just a “use neck pickup w/ reverb and a little delay” kinda thing for that “Jerry-esque” tone. Thanks!
You got it bro. I’ll try to remember to do this going forward. Great idea!
That intro borders on "Music Fiction".
Can you go over how John Mayer plays and solos over these?
Absolutely not
@@TobyDavvy 🤣
Do a jackaroo!!! 🌹⚡️💀✌️☺️☺️
I will! I plan on doing a whole series on acoustic tunes
Or would you rather I teach the electric version?
Acoustic would be dope! Super stoked
I second jack-a-roe
Do some more Crystal Meth.
I don’t think I’ve heard them play it this fast before, sounds like Pigpen error. Is there any variation to what they’re doing during the 80’s version or is just slowed down?
Yeah, for the most part it’s the same, just slow that bish down and let that swampy feel take over.
Toby & Davvy lol, right on, thanks
Early version were faster by far
What you said.
Mighty high on the list please
You got it!
Hilarious
Thanks, Neil!
Help slip franklins??? Okie Dokie!
That big hunk of fun is being saved for a special occasion. But, it’s coming.
Toby & Davvy I’ll be waiting! Yo man during this quarantine I created a Facebook page called “Delco Quarantine Open Mic” over 15,000 Members! We were on national new and a bunch of local magazines covered us! Check it out love what your doing homie!
…and tune yer guitar!!! Ouch ouch ouch…to quote Frank Zappa!
Waste of air
