UCC 2019 Event
The UCC was in Brownsburg, Indiana at the Lucas Oil Raceway for the 2019 Ultimate Callout Challenge! This was part of a 3 day event, which included drag racing, dyno competition, and sled pulling. UCC competitors gave it their all during the pull on a dirt track inside the Lucas Oil Raceway oval. A few trucks had some issues, as it was a tough track to tame. Some made really great runs though. Lots of action out there on the track for the final day of UCC competition. Enjoy!

Lot of guys tore some stuff up on the dirt! But I am absolutely BLOWN AWAY that DHD got that crispy critter fixed AND made a damn good pull! Bravo guys! I wished Humpe got down the dirt, that team is lethal! The pulling track looked awful! So dried out and rough, tough to get any momentum and not spin out. Great job PDD too, stole the show!

Could a standard truck pull this with good tire setup ? I thought it was mostly grip limited so does all the extra power help that much ?

Indianapolis. Track condition looking pretty poor, very dry = lots of wheel spin, lots of rpm. Diesels making that kind of power can go south in a hurry. Typically, big heavy pistons & bottom end and that stuff can't handle high rpm very well before its own mass tears itself apart. Probably some boost creep and definitely high egt's not helping.
No such thing as too much boost.
Those first two fords had no engine trouble

There is a box full of weights that is slid forward by a machine until it's all being pulled by the truck
These are some of the craziest engines in the racing world and there is very little info or vids on them and who builds them relative to gas engines.

A lot of these guys have own diesel shop and I assume it’s all custom built by them?

How heavy is the trailer they pulling?
In the 40-50k lb range would be my guess. It's not exactly a trailer though.
it weighs anywhere from 50 000 lbs to 70 000 lbs and thats not including the weight box which will have about 4000 lbs to 12 000 lbs in it so basically when all the weight is lifted up on to the pan they are pulling a 90 000lbs chisel plow

They’re wasting so much fuel that could be turned into power, can someone explain to me why. The carbon coming from their exhaust can be used more efficiently, or else it wouldn’t be black coming outwards

Diesel pulling trucks have to be the most unreliable vehicles on the planet. Seems like half the trucks are not even able to make a pull.
Mark Clark don’t judge all diesel pulling trucks by these ones. They have to drag race, pull, and dunk with these trucks. A properly set up pulling truck is way better than one that does all 3
My truck can pull that's and plus I got 4 engines in my truck and they are V12 there's lots of power and I even drive my truck to work couse it is legal to drive on nomal Roads
