BasicsOfDragonball Yeah, and the mistake of using Super Saiyan 2's character sheets makes perfect sense. I had honestly never even considered that, and if you're an animator and rushing to get the content out, yeah, I can imagine how that mistake could happen. It's probably what happened with Goku's super Saiyan 2 design all those years ago in the second episode of Goku versus Majin Vegeta, when Goku's SSJ 2 design just looked like his regular Super Saiyan form
Hey! I don't know if it is a good topic for a video, but something I've noticed in this arc of Super is how we've had fights with a variety of lighting we didn't had in DBZ, were pretty much all of the fights were in the sunlight. In Super, we've had dusk (17 vs Goku), rain (Krilling va Goku), night (Gohan vs Goku), dawn (Frieza vs Goku)...
This is one of my favorite episodes in Super so far, I loved every bit of it. It's been a long time since I stared at the drawings for so long in a Db episode xD

7:45 - 7:48 Holy shit, there is almost no difference between the digitally inked and painted Super and the traditional cel animated Z movie. Now I know that things won't always look like this, but I couldn't *imagine* something looking this clean back in the 2000s during the early days of digital animation, and this is coming from a cel animation "Stan" if you will. Truly amazing artwork.
I was rolling with how good the animation and detail was in this episode. Thinking, this is the quality Dragon Ball deserves. I hope they do something like Kai and redraw past parts of episodes. The animation has come a long way for Super
I've always loved Shida's animation, and definitely been inspired by him in my own work. But I keep forgetting that he also storyboards once in a blue moon. And that his style is just as prevalent in his boards as it is in his own key animation. If DBS returns for another season, I'd love to see Shida do more storyboarding. The thought of an entire episode with his flare is almost more enticing than a single 30 second cut of his key animation. Asuming the animators working on the given episode have the time to produce good work.
Yes I'm not the only one that thought the ending pic looked off. I guess everyone got sucked into the hype of Vegeta's new ssb but it just looked too fabricated, especially after an episode like this.
I love how the fanbase always comes together when Takahashi is animating an episode. Just shows that Animation is one of the important parts of an anime and its fanbase.

Holy shit, there is almost no difference between the digitally inked and painted Super and the traditional cel animated Z movie.
I love how they showed Goku's missing red shirt, you are right about the little details :)
Asuming the animators working on the given episode have the time to produce good work.
the reason everyone loves him is because he can actually draw the characters correctly. all of his art is such a treat to watch.
Takahashi is seriously amazing.
Great video as always
Love your channel, i found my love for animation thanks to you
I was waiting for this Video! :D :D
Omg, I laughed my ass off at that intro. Thanks Ajay, I needed that today!
The moment with Ultimate Gohan.. I missed this serious look so much! And Vegeta.. Oh how GODLY!
Yes I'm not the only one that thought the ending pic looked off. I guess everyone got sucked into the hype of Vegeta's new ssb but it just looked too fabricated, especially after an episode like this.
Oh Yamamuro, you never fail to disappoint.
I'm really impressed by the work you do in your channel instantly subbed! Keep up the good work.
