    what characterizes a picture as a smart object? and what does rasterizing it mean?

    • @Ruchunteur
      @Ruchunteur 7 років тому +2

      a smart object is a calc that act like a separated file. Meaning it have a lot of data abot it self. If you resize it smaller then decide later on to make resize it bigger , you don't lost quality because it remember it original size.
      If you double click on it it will open in a separated document in photoshop OR in another adobe programme. As a example you can draw something on illustrator and import it as a smart object in your photoshop document and if you double click on it it will open illustrator so you can apply changes on it. If you make a change and save, the change will appear in the smart object as well.
      In another words, a smart object is an object that retain datas about itself such as it original size, it containt and can be edited separatly of your composition but still apply the changes on your composition.
      Rasterizing it mean to make it a normal calc again. It ill no longer be a smart object.
      (hopefully this explaination was good enough. It's hard to explain in english to me)

    While using photoshop, after the camera raw filter adjustments, the picture quality is degraded while working in the photoshop itself. but when i export it it look just fine and as I intend it to look. Why this may be?

    I appreciate all the hard work, but all I can find re videos for experts at photoshop. In the first example, you said what to do, but not how to do it. “Just paint over it”-I have no idea how to do that. Sorry. Just frustrated. I’m not a complete novice, but these videos kn UA-cam are for professionals only. Also, no one seems to understand the viewers are watching on a phone, and photoshop is hard enough to see anything on a full monitor!
