fantastic video as always Jess. This was so helpful. Ive always shied away from that tool but think i will use it from now on . Thanks again. Keep up the awesome work
Doh! I've been photographying & photoshoppying for 30 years ... I use the heal tool all the time but I never knew you could mirror it! I would always end up copying and flipping the source layer. Your way is much better, thanks :)
I didn't know one could use the clone stamp panel with the healing brush tool. Thank you!!! I would love to see you do the warp tool versus liquify tool.
This is amazing! I have always struggled with cloning and healing and I really appreciate knowing there's a way to make it turn the clone opposite for fur! Thank you! ❤️
okay why didnt i know about that flipping thing with this tool... i use it every single time i edit.... this will safe me from so much time making the fur perfekt after af halter or anything like that... thank you so much =D
Super helpful, thank you so much! 🙂 Sometimes when using the healing brush, I end up with nasty little dots around the healed area. 🙁 Do you know where this could come from?
Are you using Photoshop 2024, if so this appear to be something within this version of Photoshop, you know they give with one hand and take with the other but there are work arounds 😊
@@ThatPhotographySpot Yes I'm always on the newest version. But I had this problem for quite a while now. 🥲 If you know this problem, I'd love to see a video from you about it 🥰
Loving these quick help videos, Jess!! I do have a request though, and it's something my friend and I have had lots of difficulty with recently - noise! Apparently it's not as simple as "keep your ISO low and you'll be fine", but I have no idea what else I'm meant to do. We have been trying to shoot agility dogs in very low light conditions on a 70-200, and then running the photos through Topaz denoise, but the noise is still insane and we lose a lot of detail in the dogs' fur, and to make it worse the data for the colour of the pups is crap too (everything red came out very desaturated which required a lot of Photoshop to fix). Could you give some help with how to understand what causes noise and how to balance iso, shutter speed and aperture to minimise noise especially in low light, fast subject situations??

Great suggestion! 👍 We will add this to the request list and look to do a 5 minute Friday on this topic.
Ditto I have shots of the new kitten and the noise is bonkers in low light and her eyes look awful 😞
